My nano starts playing a selection then turns off after one minute

Problem solved for now.  Cleanded the jack port with a q-tip and pushed the cable in harder.  Seems to be working.  Thanks to all others who posted these past suggestions.

apple sign shows up and then turns off after a few seconds, and i can not connect to my itunes

I have the exact same problem trying to use the Remote app on both my iPhone 3gs and iPad 2 with either my Mac or ATV2.  My Remote app used to work on my phone - I can't recall if I ever actually used it with my iPad, but when I tried today, I got all the same results as you did (on both iPad, and then iPhone).  I  was using my ATV2 to play music from iTunes on my Mac and wanted to use the Remote app, but it would not connect to either device no matter what I did.

My ipod only goes to the apple screen and freezes then turns off after about a minute. Is this fixable?

Try a system reset.  It's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.

  • Yoga display turns off after 1 minute

I'm having an annoying problem with my new Yoga related to the display and have not seen any other posts with a similar complaint so perhaps this is a simple fix that I'm just not able to sort out on my own. My display turns off after 1 minute of inactivity. The only means for changing behavior like this that I am aware of is through the Control Panel Power Options. My settings for "turn off the display" are 10 minutes on battery and Never while plugged in (note screen shot attached). Regardless of my settings, the screen turns off after 1 minute. I've changed the settings to multiple configurations and restarted with no change in behavior. Perhaps there's some other settings area, maybe something specific to Lenovo that I'm not aware of (since this is my first Lenovo laptop). Anyone with similar problems or insight?

This may be a Windows 8 issue. I finally fixed this problem by identifying the screen saver as the issue (and I wasn't using a screen saver). Type "lock the computer" into the search box after clicking the search charm, which brings up the screen saver dialog box. Mine was set to 1 minute, though I'd never set it myself. If you can't change it, choose a screen saver and you should be able to do so (and can then switch back to no screen saver). BUT, here's the problem. Other things you install (or settings within things you install) can apparently change and override whatever you type in for the delay time. Try applying your new time and exiting from the dialog box, then open it back up again. I was finding that it kept going back to 1 minute. To reset things so that you can get control again, type "user accounts" into the search box and when the dialog box comes up, choose "Reset Security Policies". Then you can go back to the screen saver dialog and successfully change the delay time. • IPhone 5 won't stay on after being charged. It is stuck at the apple logo then turns off after 30 second.

The phone has been fully charged, software OS 8.1.1 lots of storage and fully operational. Any ideas.

I understand what you are trying to say, but the device is not fully operational, or you wouldn't be here. Does the device go to logo, then turn off, then go to logo again? If not, then you need to first try a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. If that does not help, then restore from backup. If the restore from backup is not successful, then restore as new, not from a backup. If the restore from new is not successful, then make an appointment at the Genius Bar of the nearest Apple store or Authorized Apple Service provider, depending on your location and have the hardware checked. You might also want to take a look at this link and see if your iPhone 5 qualifies for the battery replacement program.  https://www.apple.com/support/iphone5-battery/  Go to that site and enter your serial number. If you have trouble restoring, see this support document. If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

  • G5 Turns off after 10 minutes

My iMAC G5 just turns off after about 10 minutes. I had trouble with the power supply a few years ago and I replaced it and everything was great. Now it just turns off after about 10 minutes and I am wondering if the power supply is acting up again. Do these things have a problem like this? It was easy to replace, so I can just do that again if that will fix the problem. But I don't want to just start changing out parts and still have the problem. Is the power supply a problem with this model?

More info on the iMAC. The processor is 1.8 GHz PowerPC G5 the memory is 1 GB DDR SDRAM running Mac OS X Version 10.5.3. Buss speed 600 MHz, Number of CPUs 1. I just took it apart and cleaned the dust out to see if that will help. We will see.

  • WIFI turns off after 30 minutes while streaming from the internet.

Unless my Touch (2G - 4.0) is plugged in, streaming of videos using Safari or NFB (National Film Board of Canada) will cease after exactly 30 minutes. The WIFI icon disappears. I have tried different routers, tons of setting changes, reset network connections on the Touch, etc. I KNOW that is not the problem. How do I keep the WIFI on so that streaming is not interrupted?
When using the NFB app, I can see that it is still downloading ahead (buffering) of what I am watching and that stops. Exiting app and going back in turns the WIFI back on but I have to watch from the beginning again - and then it stops after 30 minutes.
If the Touch is plugged in via USB, the WIFI icon remains on. I have currently set my mail to fetch every 15 minutes and so far that has kept it on but at some point it won't and I really don't want to fetch email on my Touch anyway.

I had the same problem when I upgraded.  In my case it definitely was the power supply.  In my effort to figure out the problem by swapping components in and out, the dieing power supply killed 2 P8P67 Pro and 2 2500k, and when I tested with the P67A-GD65, the power supply totally died, but the good thing is that the GD65 survived.  Swapped in a 430W to test and everything was perfect.  At full load with GTX260, it will draw less than 300W, so your power supply is fine to test.

  • Why does my Sony Sound bar CT60BT turn off after 15 minutes?

I turn the volume down during the evening and when I do, it automatically turns off after about 15 minutes.  Is there a way to change the settings so that it doesnt go into standby mode?

    Hi mdalton1284,
Your Sound Bar has an Auto Standby Function.
It will enter standby mode automatically when you do not operate the Sound Bar for about 15 minutes and the Sound Bar is not receiving an input signal but the sound bar is receiving signal from your PS4 going to the TV via HDMI connection.
You may try resetting the Sound Bar.
    Follow the steps below.
Use buttons on the remote control for the operation.
Press BASS +, VOL - , and TREBLE + in that order within 3 seconds.
Let us know if you're getting the same result after resetting the device.
    Thanks,

  • Satellite P850 display turns off after only minute or two of inactivity

    Hi,
I have my Display settings set to turn off display after 1 hour when on power and 10 minutes when on battery.
I have a screen saver set up to go on after 10 minutes.
However, my display often (but not always) turns itself off after only a minute or two of inactivity.
Can anyone explain this weird behavior?
It starts up immediately I move the mouse but I just don't like things happening that I haven't scheduled.
    Thanks.

    Hi
Could it be possible that you changed the settings in the power profile which is not in use?
I mean in case another application like ECO Utility would control the display brightness, the changes in Windows power plant would be useless.
Toshiba ECO Utility for example contains some settings like dim display after

  • Equium A300D-16C - Keeps turning off after 5 minutes

My laptop keeps turning itself off.
I've noticed lately it overheats faster than usual. When I use it I have to stack it on books but make sure the left side of the laptop is pushed to the side so the book isn't beneath it.
    I have tried the following:
Taken the battery out and waited.
Waited for the lap top to cool down.
Use the power cord and remove the battery.
Right now I have changed the power settings and it hasn't turned off as yet, but is there anything extra I should do?
Also was wondering how to remove any dust that may be trapped inside as well as trying to figure out the over heating problem, I can never have the left side of the base covered even if its on a table as it will turn itself off.
    Help is much appreciated.

    Hey,
    > but is there anything extra I should do?
Yes, you should clean your notebook and remove the dust to avoid overheating and make your notebook stable.
Here is a good article how to do this:
[How to clean the cooling system of a Toshiba notebook? |http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/ann.jspa?annID=40]
For example I clean my notebook every 3 months because I use it every day and compressed air spray is really good option for this. You dont need much time and its pretty cheap. ;)

  • Iphone 4s, 6.0.1, if my phone completely runs out of battery, I connect to charge, charging symbol appears under battery but then turns off after 3-5 secs, possible fix or known issue?

    As stated above

Do not let the battery run completely dead, this is not good for lithium ion batteries.
