My nano will no longer sync to my iTunes

I can no longer get my iPod nano to sync to my iTunes. Any suggestions?

HT1351 My fifth generation nano will no longer sync my address book from my Mac. It gives me an error message that "You have no contacts" and asks me if I want to create some. My address book is full of contacts. Sync works for everything else.

My 5th generation nano will no longer Sync my address book from my Mac. It gives me a message that I have no "Contacts", and asks if I want to create some. My address book is full of contacts, but for some reason it thinks it is empty. All the other sync operations work fine including iCal. My Mac is running OS X 10.7.4.

It sounds like all of your contacts on your Mac running Lion are actually stored up in iCloud.
Several users running Mac OS X Lion and now ML (and iCloud) have no longer been able to "sync" contacts over to their older iPods models.
A work around is to export all of your contacts out of Address Book as vCards and them copy these vCards into your iPod's Contacts folder. You'll need to have the Enable Disk Use option ticked from under the iPod's Summary tab in order to browse out to the iPod's Contacts folder via the Finder.
Using your iPod as a storage drive
That's the only "solution" I have been able to use to get contacts to sync/appear on my 5G iPod Video.

IPod will no longer sync podcasts from iTunes store

Both our iPod and iPod Nano will no longer sync podcasts. We have downloaded new music, which will sync, but not the new podcasts from the iTunes store. iTunes indicates that it is syncing (which takes about 1 second) but the podcasts are not synced.
We have deleted all the existing podcasts and downloaded a single new one, with no change in the problem. We have tried both iPods and the result is the same.
We are running ESET NOD32 version 3.0 for Anti-Virus. We have checked with ESET and performed the exceptions that are known to cause problems with iTunes, and there has been no change, except that iTunes no longer freezes, which it previously did.
Hopefully someone out there can help us.

easiest way i have found to resolve the issue is go into itunes while phone is plugged in. you will have a list of tabs across, summery, info, ringtones, music. select music and where it displays sync music unselect that and hit apply in the bottom right (dont worry your music should be saved on the computer) once the sync is complete re check the music sync option. ive noticed this to work 95% of the time......hope this helps

When i add music to my 5th gen ipod it will no longer sync in itunes. It shows up in itunes, but when i add mysic it comes up with an error number (13019). The songs show under music on my ipod, but when i disconnect it theyre not on there for me to listen to. HELP!!!

Help! iPhone will no longer sync with my iTunes library

My iPhone thinks my iTunes library is not the one it is used to syncing to anymore for some reason, and whenever I try to sync music or applications, I get: "Do you want to erase this iPhone and sync with another iTunes library?" I don't want to erase everything on my phone, since there is a lot of data there.
This seems to have happened because of the following sequence of events:
1) My external hard drive was disconnected
2) iTunes couldn't find my music, even after I reconnected said hard drive
3) I followed this instruction to recreate my iTunes library:

4) This partially worked but it couldn't find all my music
5) I added my Music folder and reimported
Now the applications section is blank (no applications) and I can't seem to sync my music without in threatening to erase everything. Is there some recourse for this without erasing everything?

The issue was, for future readers of this post that I had moved my database file as well as the XML file. The database file must contain all the applications as well as the information as to whose iphone it is, so I put that back, and everything seems to be working now as planned. Thought I would put this out there for people with this issue in the future.

When I first bought my iPhone 5S a couple monhts ago, my music libraray came over just fine from my old Iphone. And I was able to sync to my computer iTunes libraray for updates (new songs and playlists, etc,) a couple times. But now, sync don't work on the new phone. I can still sync to my older iPad and iPhone 3 S just fine, but not t my new iPhone 5S. New songs bought on iTunes and imported on CD's do not (for the most part) show up on the iphone after syncing. To repeat, I can still sync everything just fine from my computer to my old IPhoone 3S and to my ancient iPad, buit not to the new phone. Please accept my apology if I sounded elementary to you. One never knows what level of expertise he is posting to. My thought based on the message I'm focusing on here is that IF in fact you are able to sync just fine with ancient devices but not your new device I would be thinking strongly about updates to either itunes or to your OS.

Ever since updating to IOS5 my iPhone will no longer sync with my iTunes on my computer. It states that my computer is not authorized to sync with my iPhone yet it is authorized. My "Music" folder on my iPhone is now showing as completely empty.

It states my computer is not authorized but it is...... I had no problems with my ipad, all of my music transferred just fine. I have no idea what to do now with my iphone except maybe a restore???

Guys, I found another user and what he said to do worked!!! I have copied the information below:
This was 1 of the things that happend to me too, the other one was that at the bottom of the itunes page were it says all the memory info, it marked that I had over 3gb of other memory wich I didn't.
Anyways what I did was to unmark the calendar, contacts etc. ( so that they wont sync with the computer ), pressed apply, then I marked all of them again, apply again and for last I pressed Sync wich is at the bottom right coner by the apply botton.
I'm not sure that had anything to do with it but it worked, my music appeard both of my itunes playlists and the ones I bought in itunes. Also the other memory dissapeard and it's all good.
I'm not sure this will help you but thats my 5 cents, if the problem continues its better to call customer service and ask for a technician.

for some reason the past few days ive been trying to back up my iPod touch and my iPhone 4s on itunes and its not discovering it. ive done all the steps on the support page. ive reinstalled itunes, ive shut the computer off and rebooted. rebooted my phone and the ipod and still nothing. ive tried multiple usb ports that are on my laptop. ive went into computer management and its still not seeing anything. i know the cord is fine because its less than a week old and when i plug it in, the devices are charging. someone please help!

Did you do eveyrthing in the following:
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
Including removing and reinstalling all the Apple software by:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
The above include a link for XP
Do you have another cable to try? The charging and data use different conductors/contacts so it may still charge with a bad cable.

pc only recognizes the ipad as a camera. error message says i need to download 64 bit version.

My Ipod which Ive had for about 6 months has recently decided it will no longer sync to my Itunes so I cannot update the music. It recognises it is there and says it is syncing then comes up with the message 'The Ipod cannot be synced. An unknown error occured (13019)'
Any help would be greatly appreciated as Im going travelling next week and am fed up of listening to the same music!
