My netflix account used to work, but now it does not. Only the "my account" page is accessible and not the main page. Major problem. Please help. I'd rather run an older version than one that doesn't work.

I believe I was running a 6.3.as.df,msad.f,masdf version of Firefox and my Netflix account was working wonderfully well. I happened to hit the quit button last time, instead of the save and quit button and for some reason, Netflix did not load properly. I cleared the day's history, as usual, and tried again. This usually works. I closed Firefox and tried to reopen it, but it said Firefox was already running, that I would have to restart my computer to solve the issue. I did that twice. Finally, I noticed Firefox was trying to download a new version -- even though I don't recall asking it to do so. Now I'm running 7.0 and my Netflix page doesn't work. I am logged in - great - but I can only access "My Account and Help" page and "Viewing History" but nothing else. Lame! I would love to know how to get this to work. I can't even pull up Netflix's main page on its own. All other websites seem to be working properly. PLEASE ASSIST!

If this were just a Netflix problem, why can I access Netflix through Internet Explorer and not through Firefox? I've been using Firefox to access Netflix for at least the past year and starting yesterday (12/6/11) Firefox doesn't seem to recognize that Netflix exists. I've tried the suggested Firefox "help" which was of no help whatsoever and may even have made life more difficult in accessing other accounts. Anyone know how to contact Netflix or Firefox by phone?

    - The 2G iPod can only go as high as iOS 4.2.1. It does not have the hardware to support a higher iOS version.
    - Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.
    - You can only download the current version from the App store.

  • Yet another Version of iTunes that doesn't work

    Well, I've tried...more than a few times. Every time they come out with a new version I give it a shot, but every time I do...I'm glad I kept the executable from 4.7 because I always have to roll back. They have, however, made progress. I can now rip the first 10-15 seconds of each song instead of just the first 1-3 seconds. Excellent job Apple! At this rate, I figure I'll be able to get a full song by version 24.0, and that'll be very nice indeed. So, since this is not supposed to be a bi**h-fest. I'll ask simply...any suggestions as to how I can make this thing work?

    As you have had problems in every iTunes release since 4.7, it may be time to stop looking towards Apple to 'fix' the issue and investigate what in
    i your
    PC may be causing the problem.
    Start with making sure you are completely updated with WinXP. Then check your drivers: audio, video, HD controller, CD, DVD, etc. After that, search for interactions with your CD/DVD drive with various third-party software you may have loaded onto the PC. For instance: WinDVD, Roxio and Nero do not always play nice together. Add iTunes into the mix and more issues may crop up.
    Lastly, check into the various spy sweepers, virus scanners, popup blockers, etc. that may silently interact with various functions.
    Admittedly, not an easy endeavor - but one that needs to be done by you. Especially as you have a home-built system that may be outside the 'standard' that the iTunes developers tested.
    You may also want to search these Discussions, as CD importing problems have been posted here somewhat frequently. Perhaps one of the solutions to another's problem may assist you.

  • Where can I find an uncompressed version -- or one that doesn't use 7-Zip -- of the Thunderbird installer?

    I'm trying to install Thunderbird on my work computer. However, our IT department has a company-wide block on 7-Zip, the compression program used in the Thunderbird installer. I'm looking for a way around this block. (I have approval to install Thunderbird, but they aren't going to turn off the block on 7-Zip to allow me to do so.)
    Are there uncompressed versions of the Thunderbird installer around somewhere? Or ones that don't include the 7-Zip extractor?

    The last Release of Firefox and Thunderbird to have a .zip version was the ancient Firefox 1.0.1 and Thunderbird 1.0 as they were .zip for Releases till then. They stopped with the .zip due to bad crashes caused by people installing the installer and .zip builds over each other and mixing. I would not recommend to use such old vulnerable versions.
    Maybe if need be you can extract it on another computer and transfer to your work computer by usb.

    I'm sorry that you're having trouble with ExportPDF. Can you please try the following to resolve this sign-in issue:
    Choose Edit > Preferences (Windows) or Adobe Reader > Preferences (Mac)
    Click 'Adobe Online Services' on the left-hand side
    Sign out of our Adobe ID and sign back in.
    Try to convert your document again.
    If you continue to have trouble, please verify that you can access the service via the web interface.  To do this:
    Open a browser and navigate to http://exportpdf.acrobat.com/signin.html
    Try to log in with your Adobe ID (email address) and password
    Once logged in, follow the on-screen prompts to convert a file

    This can be caused by corrupted cookies or cookies that are blocked (check the permissions on the about:permissions page).

    How does one remove temporary files from Safari?  A friend logged on to her Facebook account using my iMac running Mac OSX 10.7.5 and Safari 6.1.6.  Now I can't remove her e-mail address from my computer.  When I open Facebook her address shows in the user button.  I do not have a Facebook account.  It was suggested to me that I try clearing temporary files from Safari but I can't find anything that tells me how to do this.  Are temporary files the same as the cache?  It also was suggested that I try clearing Safari cache.  How do I do that?

    Check Safari/Preferences/Passwords to see if the Facebook account is there. If so, select it and remove it. If you are still having problems, Safari/Preferences/Advanced - enable the Develop menu, then go there and Empty Caches. Quit/reopen Safari and test. If that doesn't work, Safari/Reset Safari.

    You and your husband can share a store account and still have seperate iCloud accounts for your contacts, bookmarks and stuff like that.  Click here for instructions to make an apple account without entering a credit card.  Make sure you use a different email address for each apple account. 
    Set up your iPhone/iPad whatever using the new account for iCloud.  Then go into settings/store and sign in with your purchasing account, you may need to sign out of the other account.  To the best of my knowledge, your household is allowed to share purchased legally, someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
    Once you each have your own devices set to your own accounts you can set them to backup to that account and it will keep all your contacts seperate.

    Boot to the Recovery HD:
    Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    When the menubar appears select Terminal from the Utilities menu. Enter resetpassword at the prompt and press RETURN. Follow instructions in the dialog window that will appear.

    Be sure to open Keychain Access and repair the keychain:
    Assuming that you are using a recent build of OS X, go to /Applications/Utilities and launch the app called Keychain Access. Go to the Window pulldown menu and select "Keychain First Aid". Enter your password, set the radio button to "Repair", and click "Start".
