My Network Connection Keeps Going SOS

i have a blackberry 9300 and am on the EE - T mobile network, i have a problem with my phone , its keeps going to sos mode i have tried changing sim card to other networks , calling my provider , even used the same sim card on another phone and it works just fine but on mine,it seems to work for a little while for like 5 minutes then go to sos mode, but my wi fif connections works just fine , so i was wondering if it could actually be fixed or is there a way i can personally fix it ?

  • Wireless Network Connection keeps going down

I have an Intel WiFi Link 5100 using the iwlwifi driver. The network comes up when I boot and works fine for a while, then suddenly stops. The card is still recognized, but I can't bring up a connection.

Power management is already disabled, you can see that from the output of "iwconfig wlp2s0". It was the first thing I tried. I also tried turning off wireless N which was suggested in the wiki and that did not help either, so I caved and posted to the forums.

Do you see any toolbars at all?
Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: Command+Shift+F).
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible.
    *Firefox menu button > Options
*View > Toolbars (press F10 to display the menu bar)
    *Right-click empty toolbar area
Use Toolbar Layout (Customize) to open the Customize window and set which toolbar items to display.
*check that "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
*if "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the toolbar palette into the Customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
*if missing items are in the toolbar palette then drag them back from the Customize window on the toolbar
*if you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar setup
You can check for problems caused by a corrupted localstore.rdf file if the above didn't help.

  • The wireless connection keeps going away and I need to power off and on the time capsule to get the wifi network up

Time Capsule wifi access very poor. it keeps disconnecting and i need to power on and off thr router to get the wifi connection back again. When it works its so slow, it works only in the roms nearby and not even upstairs in my home!

I cannot work from the serial number.. I need the model number. A1xxx in the rubber .. in the rubber.. for Gen1-3.. 2010 is probably Gen3 but can be early Gen4.
    Follow up questions:
How do i take the firmware back to 7.6.1 or 7.5.2
wireless names are Room of requirement and Leaky Cauldron - Is that too long a name?
How do I set fixed wireless channels?
Can relocate. Its in the main level of the house to give me access upstairs in the bedrooms and down in the basement,
Change firmware.. hold down option whilst clicking version.
Wireless names.. short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric.. yes.. your names are wrong.. from my point of view.. more they do not obey the rules.. no spaces.
Check C9 here why this is important.
    http://pondini.org/TM/Troubleshooting.html
Fix wireless channels.. option page in wireless are of utility.. you need to spend more time in the utility so you know what is there.
Location is everything.. sometimes you simply need more than one device.. wireless has limited range. Use ethernet or EOP - homeplug adapters to place another AP in area closer to your position.

  • Network connection keeps changing after sleep mode

I bought a brand new iMac for my mom just over 2 months ago and have been having internet connection problems. Sleep is set manually going under Apple and hitting sleep.  Every time it's woken up after sleep the internet connection is gone and has to keep manually being switched to our network name which is quite frustrating.  Tried this fix found on an old link on here: http://osxdaily.com/2011/11/06/lion-wi-fi-problems-solution-mac/?utm_source=feed burner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+osxdaily+%28OS+X+Daily%29&utm_conten t=FaceBook
and it didn't work. All the threads I found were from 2010 or 2012. Just wondering if there is a recent fix on here.

    Welcome to the forums!
Only if it's Ethernet, not Airport/Wireless, because the radios are shut down to save energy.

  • My connection keeps going!

For the last week or so, my connection has been TERRIBLE.  Forget speed, I'd happily go at a snail's pace if I could only keep connected.  I'll be working away for about a minute and the blank page will appear saying 'Internet Explorer Cannot Display Webpage' and everything goes.  As I am trying to order stuff for Christmas, this is slightly (?) frustrating.
I've tried everything that the Broadband Desktop Help tells me to do but still without any luck.
I'm not far off throwing the laptop out the window.
One thing I've noticed is that sometimes Windows seems to be managing my wireless connection and, at other times, a message tells me that Intel PROSet/Wireless is managing it.  I'm pretty ignorant about this stuff but it seems as though the machines have taken over and are doing their own thing!!
    Can anybody suggest anything?
    Thanks.
    Diane

    Hi Diane30,
Thanks for posting. It sounds as though your problem is with your wireless connection. Can you try connecting with the ethernet cable and google which manufacturer wireless card you're using. Once you've found that out go to their website and try downloading the latest drivers. Let me know how you get on.
    Cheers

  • Connection Keeps Going

Hi since switching our set up to BT infinity we have had 3 long periods with no connection to the net. All of these within the last 8 days and each time it follows a weather storm of which we have had a few in our area. When it goes down I do all the usuall things restart the router - power down power up etc then i call BT support. They have got me back on each time within around 8 hours but naturally getting fed up with this situation as we never had this before when we were on "normal" broadband with Bt.  I explained to the BT support that I wish to make a complaint as I have lost around 28hours net time due to the outages and am looking to see what compensation of my bill I would be entitled to if any.
Also this may be another area but the support techs tend to give me a different answer each time as if they not really sure what is going on. And now I have yet another BT enigineer arriving tomorrow (second one in the week) Rant over But can anyone point me to where I can put an official complaint in about my down times. This is not a bash at the BT phone support as they do the best they can. And BT are usually top notch but I gotta gripe - 0) Any help on this very much appreciated. Many thanks Georgie

Hi thanks for the reply. BT Engineer arrived last Sunday with a new box as apparently all the ones rolled out in my Town have been faulty. Since the new box was installed I have not lost connection again but still lost at least 2.5 net access.
Anyways glad though its sorted and hopfully all lights will stay green for longer than a week now

  • Mac book air os x lion windows network connection keep getting locked out

hello, I have an end user with a mac air, running os x lion. I attached him to a network share on the windows network active directory on server 2008. he is the only one that when he clicks on the network share it locks him out. I check a/d and he is locked out each time. Is there a fix for this. other computer specs are processor 1.7 ghz intel core i5 4gigs memory. this should be an easy fix for such a robust machine.

    Hey,
yes I did get to the bottom of this problem!!!. After spending some time on the phone with apple support they suggested that it was probably a problem with the hardware on my macbook air.
So I took this to an apple shop they had a look and it was infact a problem with the logic board. Not sure what was wrong specifically but they replaced it and then reinstalled OS for me and now works perfectly. All came under the warrenty obviously.
I had a look at your thread and it seems that your having the same problem, only thing i can suggest is ring support if you havnt done so already they will go through recovery with you, should be all free if you have just bought your new mac. Alternatively, to save time I would quickly check and download via a different internet connection/ try connect your mac to the router with an ethernet cable, just to see wether its an internet issue.
If this fails unfortunately you will most likely have to take it to an apple store to get them to take a look!.
    Good luck
    A

  • AppleTV - Maintaining Network Connectivity to Wireless Network

Should my AppleTV always maintain its connection to my wireless network?
Everytime I go back to my AppleTV, I have to re-establish my network connection by going under Settings>Network Configuration>Select My Network>Done, and then it will be OK...for a little while...
I can then access the iTunes Movie Trailers, Music Videos, etc., but if I then go back to content on my AppleTV for just a few minutes and then try to go back to the iTunes content, the network connection has been lost.
    AppleTV; PowerBook G4; D-Link DI-714P+   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

What's the physical proximity of the router to the
tv? Is there the possibility of a weak signal
    between the two?
Also, have you tried changing channels on the router?
I've had problems in the past on my 802.11g routers
with interference from neighbours causing drop outs
    on the connections.
Since most routers seem to come preconfigured for
channel 1 or 6, you're often best to pick just about
any other channel (since most of your neighbours
    probably won't).
I'd also suggest turning OFF any proprietary network
acceleration mode features that your router may have
(ie, the features that some D-Link and similar
routers have that provide a speed boost when using
    their own network cards).
Have changed the channel it was set to auto but changed to 3 I think still same problem. The ATV is about 5 feet away from the router. Moved it from the other side of the TV incase that was blocking the signal. Also the ATV always has a full signal when connected.

  • Im using an iphone 4s with the latest firmware which is 6.1.3 but my wifi button keeps going grey how can i fix it? i rested network connections and it worked for a while and went grey again, what can i do?

im using an iphone 4s with the latest firmware which is 6.1.3 but my wifi button keeps going grey how can i fix it? i rested network connections and it worked for a while and went grey again, what can i do?

Have you worked through the Troubleshooting iOS and WiFi knowledge base article?  If not, see if there is info in there that might help.
Is the WiFi greyed out on all WiFi networks or just the one?  If it does this on all then there may be a hardwaer problem that needs attention from the techs at an Apple store genius bar.
Before that, however, try a reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears and it restarts, ignoring the red slider if it appears.  That clears a lot of iOS hang ups that occur.

  • How can I keep my iMac on the wireless network when it goes to sleep?

I have a new iMac (from Santa) and when it goes to sleep, so does its wifi connection.  I use it for work and need to keep my instant messaging app open and running at all times, even when it's asleep. I also like to have all of my email waiting in the inbox when I come back to the desk.
Is there any setting (or workaround) I can do to keep it connected even when it goes to sleep? I have a MacBook Pro that keeps its connection when it goes to sleep so can't figure out what's happening. Thanks in advance!

going to sleep means disabling the network connection to save power
so what you're asking is not really possible
unless you can change what going to sleep mean on your computer
in the power saving settings you may be able to set going to sleep to just turn off your monitor
because thats pretty much the only thing that can go to sleep if you still wish to use it over wifi

    Hello VanSlyke333,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information, take a look at:

  • Keep losing network connection... I have to continually shut down then restart to get network connection.

We have 2 computers and Apple TV that will be connected to internet while my iPod loses its connection.  It seems to happen after it goes to sleep for a while like a half hour or so, haven't actually timed how long. But I won't get iMessage notifications. As long as I am actively checking my gmail or texting or searching internet I don't lose connection, just after it sits for awhile.
New(2 months old), 32GB (still have 15GB available), iOS 7.1.2, I only have one wifi network connection setup on it and have "ask to join networks" set to off

How do I make IOS 6 keep wifi on when iPod is sleeping?

  • HT3204 When doing a "Network Connectivity Test" on my PC, as to iStore Connectivity, it says "Secure Link to iTunes Store failed". And when trying to "authorize" my computer to sync ringtones I downloaded to my PC, I keep getting an errot message.

When doing a "Network Connectivity Test" on my PC, while in iTunes, it tells me that "Secure Link to iTunes Store Failed", yet I'm connected to the internet.  I was unable to "authorize" my PC with an error message, as well, giving me the code (-3212), saying I was not connected to the internet, yet I am.  I can open browser after browser, and navigate just fine.  In going through the iTunes Help menu, I am running the tests offered in the drop-downs, but I keep getting the afore-mentioned errors.

With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:
Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store
(If there's a SpeedBit LSP showing up in Autoruns, it's usually best to just uninstall your SpeedBit Video Accelerator.)

  • HT5625 My wireless internet connection keeps defaulting from my network to a neighbors' when the computer is left idle for a few minutes. How do I reset to my stay on my network?

My default internet connection keeps defaulting to a neighbors' network when left idle for a few minutes. How do I reset to use my network?

Likely both of you have Open networks and the Mac is just connecting to the strongest one, hopefully it's just that.
If you set a encryption and a password, then it shouldn't be doing this.
WiFi security issues, at home and WiFi hotspots
If you can't do this yourself, then have a local geek come by and set you up.
Also if you head to System Preferences > Network > Airport > Advanced, there might be a connection list, you drag your connection to the top and remove the ones your not going to use.
