[High level of difficulty] how to change the monitor display in the space of a full screen application

Hello everybody,
I have an application which when opening creates a personal space (I can get back to the desktop with F3).
But this application changes the display of my monitor : it sets "Adobe RGB 1998" (very painful)
The problem is : totaly impossible to change display monitor when i'm in the personnal space of the application.
How to open the monitor control panel when I'm in that space?
If i do F3 to come back on my desktop, the color of my display monitor return to LCD color, it's nice. However it's impossible to keep the LCD display when i come back on the application : "Adobe RGB 1998" comes automatically

i was just wondering if the 2013 imac 27" came with two hard drive bays?
when looking through the specs there no longer seems to be an option to have an ssd, as well as, a standard internal hd (only fusion drives/??)
is it possible for me to set the new imac up with, for example, a 250gig ssd and then a 1 or 3 tb storage drive?

The 27" is the same except for the door/panel that can be opened to change/replace/upgrade the ram.

The best way is to make a backup of your old iMac. Do this either by cloning to an external hard drive through SuperDuper or Carbon Copy Cloner. OR Use Time Machine.
Then set up your new iMac using either Setup Assistant or Migration Assistant.

Hi,
In the Finder > View Menu > View Option > change the Text size.
This changes the size of text under the icons on the Desktop.
If you open any Finder window after this you can create a Default size for all windows from the same panel.

HT3775 i need help as i'm new to iMac and still getting used to the thing. i keep trying to play stuff, movies that ive downloaded and also pictures that ive put into slideshows but keep getting told i dont have the right codec and things won,t play.

I have been running late 2013 iMac i7 27" and loving it for the last 8 months. I decided to upgrade and went and bought the Retina iMac yesterday and upgraded the ram to 16Gb.. 2699 not too bad.
Excited as can be I got it home and hooked it up only to be dumbfounded and disappointed that the 2 Samsung 21" 1600X1200 monitors that I have been running for years and years as my companion monitors with my iMac do not look right. They look fuzzy and almost like the res is wrong. Its finding them fine and showing them at 1600X1200 no problem but they look horrid.
They looked fantastic on the 2013 iMac 27 I have been using.. They are hooked up with Thunderbolt to DVI adapters and I have one on the left and one on the right of the 27" screen. I have been using this config for years and years and now I can't ..
I think not only is it the new GPU and the way its handling the external monitors I think Yosemite is causing some of this as well.
When I go into Accessibility and turn on enhanced contrast it gets a little better but still not good..
I also notice that sitting at a few feet from the screen in my normal position reading text on the Retina is not good for my 49 year old eyes. The text is smaller and just not as punchy as it was on the 2013 iMac. Is this a case of too new to jump on technology ?
I really don't want to return it and go back to a standard 27 but i might have to.
Funny some of the articles i have been reading say for graphics editors and photo people its great but for text users its not that great and I am seeing this might be the case.
I unfortunately got rid of the 2013 iMac already and I can't get it back..

Using FCP 7 - Can I connect two more displays to the new 27" iMac and have one as a display monitor?

I use Final Cut Pro 7 right now and am thinking about buying the new 27" iMac with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4GB GDDR5 card. I have a 24" Apple Cinema Display with mini Display port cable. I also have one more Samsung display with DVI & HDMI. Can I connect both monitors to the iMac and be able to use one in FCP as a display monitor?

How to configure the monitoring computer to see the Xserve Raid

Finally I got My Xserve RAID.
I mounted It using disk utility as a single big disk.
But i don't know how to use RAID Admin since no List of System on subnet is present.
How do i change these setting on the monitoring computer?
I can write to the Xserve and i can read from it but I cannot use RAID Admin.
The fibre Channel utility is working well, do I have to change the setting of the PCI card?
I'd like to leave It as a single 2.7 Tb disk RAID 5, but sliced in smaller disk (Lun ?)

Now IT is Buidilng the Raid 5 across all the 7 disk. I unmount it from the desktop and shut It down via Raid Admin
Building a RAID 5 array takes hours. You can't shut the RAID down while it's doing this, otherwise you will lose the array settings.
I removed the older system and I added a new one that It has a different IP.
Once you connect with RAID Admin you should change the XServe RAID's configuration so that it has an IP address you can remember. If you leave it set to DHCP then it will probably change addresses every time you start it up.

I installed a new video card onto my computer...the monitor wont work!!!?

So I got a new GPU (VGA MSI NX8800GT 512M OC RT). I installed it last night and plugged the monitor into it...I know the computer sees it because the LED light turns green, then it goes to sleep. So I figure that maybe the GPU is incompatible with my motherboard, so I put my old one back in and the same thing happens!!! Anyone know what can cause this?!?!

Test with mainboard out of PC case:
Test the motherboard outside of the case to verify that the motherboard is not shorting to the case and causing a problem
• With only the CPU and heat sink, memory, and video card (or onboard video) connected to the motherboard, place the motherboard on a non-conductive surface and retest the motherboard
• Check the case mounting standoffs to verify that they are lining up correctly with the mounting holes on the motherboard.
If no change try with different better and well known working PSU

How to solve the monitor shuffle? G4, G5, Cinema Display and 2 ViewSonics

Here's a monitor puzzle I'm hoping to get some help with.
I have two computers- a G4 and a G5.
COMPUTERS
G4- 1 VGA port, 1 ADC port - video card is ATI rage 128 pro.

MONITORS- 1 20" Cinema Display
- Two 17" LCD Viewsonic VG720 displays. Both monitors have a VGA and DVI output.
*What we need to do is have the Cinema Display on one computer, and the ViewSonics on the other in a 2-monitor setup.* It doesn't matter which monitors go where, as long as they work.
The ViewSonics can't do a simple 2-monitor setup on the G4. One of them can hook up to the VGA port. But the other one can't hook up to the ADC.
But since the ViewSonics are both DVI-compatible, they work great with the G5, with no problems.
This leaves the Cinema Display to be hooked up to the G4. The Cinema display is a DVI, but the G4 is only VGA and ADC. I bought a DVI to VGA adapter and hooked it up to the G4, but no response from the monitor. No luck.
Question 1: Would this work if I bought a DVI to ADC adapter?

Other scenario:
I hook the Cinema Display up to the G5 (flawless) and try to put the 2 ViewSonics on the G4. One will hook up to the VGA just fine, but then I'm left trying to convert either a DVI or a VGA to the G4's ADC.
Question 2: If I buy an adapter for this purpose, could I do a 2-monitor hookup with a VGA and an ADC on the G4?
