My new 6th generation ipod is not recognized by itunes or my computer. I went through all the troubleshooting steps in the help guide and the ipod is not recognized anywhere on the computer, not even as an 'unknown device.'
I can't find any answers to this question besides a discussion from 2006 regarding a "SPTD driver installation" with a broken link. I don't think it's the cable because I can still charge the ipod, but the device is not listed in My Computer or in the Device Manager or anywhere. The ports work with other USB cables including my web cam. Help, anyone?
If you uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes, did you follow the steps in this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 exactly. Check and make sure. If you did, then try this support document to get the phone into the Recovery mode. It may take more than one try. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

The content that you are viewing on your Nano via iTunes is grayed out since your iPod is set up for automatic syncing with your iTunes library. If you want to be able to manually manage your contents (which is sounds like you are trying to do), you must enable the Manually manage music option from under your iPod's Summary tab in iTunes.

cannon 8800F not working with OS X yosemite 10.10.1 . I have downloaded the latest drivers and firmware from Canon. I called Canon for support and went through all the checks , but, still my iMac did not see the scanner. Any new ideas?

Since purchasing the Note 3 in October i have had nothing but issues. I went through all the steps and eventually I was sent a different phone, which was working for the most part until the recent upgrade. Now I am back to the old issues, no service, it actually says not moblie network available, when everyone else in my family has coverage and are on my plan with iphones. I am missing text messages and dropping calls left and right. This is unacceptable for the cost of this phone and my service. I have did a hard reset etc. What else can I do??
Use the trackpad to scroll, thats what it was designed for. The scroll bars automatically disappear when not being used and will appear if you scroll up or down using the trackpad.
This is a user-to-user forum and most people will post on here if they have problems. You very rarely get people posting to say there update went smooth. The fact is the vast majority of Mountain Lion users will not be experiencing any major problems with the OS, or maybe with apps which are not compatible, but thats hardly Apple's fault if developers don't update their apps. -
About a month ago my wifi switch greyed out. I went through all the trouble shooting and ended up going to the Genius Bar and got a new iPhone 4S. Now the switch greyed out on the new one.. help!

I have an iphone 4 started the problem saying no service, then when restarting asked to connect to itunes and became jammed in MDU mode, I connect to itunes and clicked on restore, it went through all the steps and nearly completed it gives me an error message saying cannot be restored error -1. Can anybody help me how to restore my iphone. or what to do next, some reseller asked me to go the shop where I bought to replace it for me as this error cannot be restored by any shop. It has to be returned to apple and get it replaced. The warranty already expired and don't know what to do.

I'm running Windows 7 and iTunes (and the other Apple programs) wouldn't automatically update. Went through all the options and finally had to delete all Apple files and re-download iTunes. Worked fine, until the next update. Is there a glitch in the system? Does someone know of some proprietory block (I think it is related to Quicktime)? Also, once I re-downloaded everything, cleaned everything up, and deleted duplicate files, I closed down my computer. When I re-started it, iTunes was "brand new" -- all of my music, organization, tagging, etc. was gone and had to start over. Idea?
Ok, so after like 4 days of going through all these different issues, I figured out that several programs weren't downloading, and it was an issue with my wireless connectivity messing up the digital signatures, so if you plug in your comp to the modem and delete your temp files, it should start to work!

ipod with click wheel not recognized on two separate laptops. Checked the cable and newer ipod shuffle works fine. Ipod will play already loaded music and play from a dock. Have went through the 5Rs and still not working. Any help appreciated.

You're not trying to connect the iPod with click wheel using the short USB cable for the iPod shuffle, are you? If so, that won't work. The shuffle uses its headphone jack for the data connection. All other iPods use the dock connector, using a standard docking cable. -
When I connect my ipod nano to my laptop it shows the icons on it and in the upper right hand corner it has a charging symbol on the battery symbol but my ipod still doesn't appear in my computer or itunes ... is there anything i can do to fix it ... everything on my laptop is up to date

ok i am trying to put my ipod in recovery mode but when the itunes and ubs icon comes up on the ipod im not sure what to do next how do i connect ?

If the steps on the support site failed to correct the issue, it notes that the issue is likely hardware related with the iPod's hard drive, meaning you'll want to have it serviced/replaced either by Apple or a third party service.

Not quite sure what to do about this. All of the previous music that I have downloaded works fine but for the past week anything that I purchase from iTunes Store will not play because it states the computer is not authorized to play, but it is authorized and the purchased songs were purchased under the same account.
