My computer got 4 repairs, and another time is working bad, bad ,bad...
No logs, disks failures, 3 alimentation and 2 superdrives, display , motherboard, graphical Nvidia G 8000.
I think that the problem is of the enssamble, but I can´t work fine and äpple¨ don´t see the list of problems, I´m bored.
I think that only got monts of life my lot of money.

I would purchase an external USB enclosure for the HDD. With the HDD in the enclosure, install OSX and then mount in your MacBook. If you continue to have problems, it could be a faulty internal SATA cable.

Making a small change to an old project - How do I know what versions of Drivers and RIO etc was used for the last good build?

If I want to make a small change to a legacy project of years ago, I want to limit my risk by using the exact same versions of LabVIEW, NI-RIO etc. So I check out the project from the repo, but I don't know how to check what versions were used when the last know good build was made. I don't want to introduce issues by mass-recompiling to the latest version.
What is best practice in this case? I could, before every repo commit, take a screenshot of MAX's software tree and save this in the project folder.

The report is a great idea! I store both a max technical report and a project.NCE (HW config export) with each of my projects for this exact reason. Those files have sure come in handy!
Also- its a good idea to make an image of the target as accepted and archive it somewhere. ESPECIALLY for PXI based systems from NI. (When the customer comes back for a "duplicate" just send the image with the PO and the system arrives fully configured)

Has anyone else had a problem with the Artist search buttons search peramiters changing after Apples latest ipod update ? I synced my ipod touch recently and it came up with a message saying a new update was available for the ipod but might take an hour .

Last time I synced my ipod touch it ofered me an update for the pod that could take about an hour , I did it and now it doesnt search properly . When I used the Artist tab at the bottom of my ipod before it would find every single song on the ipod by that artist (ie it searched by TRACK Artist) . Now it only find the songs by any given artist that are on Albums by that Artist (ie it searches by ALBUM Artist) What that means is it wont find any song by any Artist on a Various Artist CD . HAS ANYNOE ELSE GOT THIS PROBLEM OR A SOLUTION?

We upgraded to Mavericks on two computers at work, and now Favorites from one computer show, while Favorites from the other don't. The same AppleID was used for the upgrade on both computers, but we have separate logins.

At work, we upgraded to Mavericks on two iMacs, using the same AppleID. Now, in Safari, the Favorites bar shows only my coworker's faves on both computers, and my Bookmarks are in the bookmark listing, also showing on both computers. How can we fix this, so that I only see my Favorites and Bookmarks and she only sees hers?

I hope it's okay that I post about my progress with this!
I restarted both computers and tested our Safari connection by deleting a couple of bookmarks on my computer. They did NOT delete from the other computer, so that problem seems to be resolved. I'm not sure what will happen if she signs back into iCloud, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

Start with the article below to troubleshoot issues with Mail sending and receiving email. You may not have to do every step, but pay attention to what is relevant. Start with using Connection Doctor to bring up a window that will tell you what could be the issue.

The only Adobe product I have reinstalled so far is Reader XI but I would like to reinstall Elements 8 and Acrobat 9 without taking up more licences as both are also installed on my laptop. If you have the two allotted activations already and one was lost on the hard drive that failed then you need to contact Adobe Support thru chat and ask them to reset your activations.

The folder would be at the root of your hard drive. Double-click Macintosh HD and look there.
If it isn’t there, I’m not sure what it is seeing.

I bought my MacBook Air in january 2012 and want to install the new Mountain Lion update. I have downloaded it but when I´m supposed to choose where to save it I can't choose the Macintosh HD because "This disk is used for Time Machine backup..."

After 10 days of trying to install Mountain Lion I finally took my IMac t the Apple Store in town. It was still under Apple Care. When I would try to install it I would get a message that this disc (HD) was used by Time Machine. I had read about the Time Machine backup folder some people had mentioned should be trashed. I used "Find" and "Spotlight" and never could find it. My phone calls to Apple Support were non productive. The young lady tech at apple took all of one minute to fix the problem. She simply went to the backup folder which was empty and trashed it. mmediately the Mounain Lion begin the install and problem solved. She said that folder would not show up using Find or Spotlight as they were not to be messed with by the average Joe. It was on the HD but I have forgot how she got to it. The Apple Store was a great experience. You call and make an appointment and take your computer to what they calll the Genius Bar where they have nummerous technicians. They hook it up with you sitting at the Genius Bar as you show them what the problem is and they fix it on the spot in most cases. They will even carry the computer in and out if you need help. They also answered some other tech questions not related to my original problem. They must have the fastest net connection in the world and you are free to walk into the store and use it if you have a big download. On one install it would have taken me 8-10 hours at home while going to the store it took less than an hour. You have a place to put your computer on a bar and a stool to sit on while doing this. No charge of course. I am sure glad I bouhgt Apple Care in this case. A very impressive operation.

Thank you for the help. Every app on my phone was downloaded using my old I-tunes ID. I just hope that they will re-download under my new ID because I still can't change it on my phone. In order to change to the new ID it says I have to sign out from the old ID and change to the new one. My problem is that I don't remember my password to be able to sign out from my old ID. Then the phone says it can change my password through e-mail and I agree but I never get an e-mail at my old address or the new one.

What country's Store are you using?
The two have to be the same and the payment method for your account also has to be associated (billing address, where iTunes gift card was purchased) with that country.
Has the ID(s) worked before for purchases for this country's store?

Hello. I have recently installed version 7.41 of Quicktime for Windows (had the same problem with 7.4). What appears to be happening is that when I boot my computer, without opening any programs, if I go to a location where I have a MOV (Quicktime movie file) file, and try to cut and paste it to another folder it gives me the message:
Cannot move [MOV filename]: It is in use by another person or program. Close any programs that might be using the file and try again.
I have found by using some memory/file monitoring tools that EXPLORER.EXE is opening a handle to the file (accessing it for some reason) and then holding on to that handle thus not allowing me to move the file from one directory to another. By forcing the handles closed, it then allows me to move it, but then immediately maintains it open again, and cannot move it again.
This only happens with QuickTime MOV files. I have renamed the file to another format, just for kicks basically, and it works fine using another extension. I have also reassociated the MOV files with another app, but still has the same issues.
I have not run or any applications before this point and especially not anything related to QuickTime. Does anyone have any insight into what might be happening?

I am having the exact problem when I try to rename or move the MOV file. I use Unlocker to determine which process is locking the MOV file and like you have said: it is the Explorer process.
I hope there will be a patch for this problem soon and if you know of any solution, please inform me.
