Did my new phone seriously just crash? What do I do now? I left it overnight with the white screen, thinking maybe it'll go away and needs time to upgrade. Woke up this morning, nope still white screen. Very disappointed with Apple. I was so excited to get my phone and can't even use it right now.

First turn the iPhone off and back on and see if it works. If that doesn't work then do a Reset by holding the Sleep / Wake Button (The Power Button) and the Home Button at the same time until the white Apple Logo appears, the release both Buttons and wait until a Full Reset occurs. The iPhone 6 should come back to your Lock-Screen. If that doesn't work then you could connect the iPhone 6 via the Lightning Cable to a Computer with a Current Version of iTunes. Then open iTunes on the Computer and wait until your see a Button that represents your attached iPhone and click on it. This should bring up a Summary Screen on the Computer within iTunes. At that point your can choose Update Software if an Update is available or Restore the iPhone to Factory Settings / New In The Box, or you could try to Restore from your Backup if a current Backup had already been saved from a previous iPhone.
If you don't have a computer with iTunes and you can get the iPhone back on, then go to Settings>General>Software Update and see if the iPhone is still on iOS 8.0 or if it is now on iOS 8.0.2

Have you tried resetting your iPad?
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Of course it would help to know what you have tried but without that information here goes:
Install or Reinstall Lion from Scratch
If possible backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive.
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Erase the hard drive:
Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Erase button and wait until the process has completed.
Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion: Select Reinstall Lion and click on the Install button.
Note: You can also re-download the Lion installer by opening the App Store application. Hold down the OPTION key and click on the Purchases icon in the toolbar. You should now see an active Install button to the right of your Lion purchase entry. There are situations in which this will not work. For example, if you are already booted into the Lion you originally purchased with your Apple ID or if an instance of the Lion installer is located anywhere on your computer.

I foolishly set my screen resolution to what my computer recommended, now I get Input beyond range

As I said in the intro, when i switched on this morning the pc suggested I reset my screen resolution to 2560x1600 which i did and now i cannot access even the login screen.
All help seems to point towards safe-mode but i cannot even get to that.
Any ideas? or should I throw away windows 8 and buy a mac instead?

Well no help, no support, nobody seems able to solve this.
I solved it myself.
Solution:
Press F10 and a screen appears for configuring the system.
Select the "Secure Boot" option and disable it and disable "Fast Boot"
THEN next re-start (by pressing and hlding power button) and press F8 until it asks about starting up then follow the last part of this advice:

Then it gives you the option to reset the graphics.
It still prompts me to change the graphics but this can also be turned off by stopping all notifications which are rubbish anyway.
Well done HP, no help and you have a faulty peice of software that prompts users to set screen resolution that makes the system unusable.
Next PC will NOT be a HP one

well I have a genuine Mac Leopard OS X 10.6.7 installation disk and the iMac is stuck in grey screen and says in panic: We are hanging here.I have been able to get to white scree in Open Firmware but that's about it. Holding the C key down doesn't start the installation disk.

Is your signature correct?
The A1076 is not able to run 10.6 - that OS is for Intel Macs. That model is a PowerPC G5.
You need the original install disks or a copy of 10.5 to install or fix that hardware.

If this is a brand new iPad - and I don't know where you can buy a brand new iPad 3, I would take it back to the store before going any further. It sound like the screen dies from what you are saying.

What exactlyare you seeing on the iPad's screen ? If it's the iTunes icon and a cable then that means that it's gone into recovery mode - you will need to connect it to your computer's iTunes and you should be able to use that to reset it back to factory defaults and you can then restore/resync your content to it.

My new I pad air has a problem - it froze during a face time call and now it reboots and turns dark grey - Siri says 'connect to Internet' but blank screen so can't - help !
