My new iPad 4th gen won't come on. Any suggestions?

I've had my iPad since Christmas, and haven't experienced any problems (although I have seen a couple of flickers with power or transitioning that I assumed could be typical) but this morning it just wouldn't come one.  It was on the charger, so it should have a 100% charge.  No storms in my area, all other electronics (including iPhone using same eletrical outlet).
I've tried turning it off/on, and get no response.  I've tried plugging it into multiple ports in my computer (which work with my iPhone) and get no response.
Suggestions?

My 4th gen wifi/cellular ipad doesn't see my Lexmark Pro915 printer. They both connect to my network just fine. Any suggestions for a solution?

    Hi, Gangusb.
You may find these articles helpful in troubleshooting your AirPrint issue.  As you Lexmark print is an AirPrint compatible printer, some AirPrint printers will require a firmware update out of the box to become AirPrint-enabled. See the manufacturer's documentation or website for details.

  • No wifi connection on new iPad 4th gen

Help please ive just bought the ipad 4th gen and it wont connect to any wifi networks, im unable to complete the setup because of this. Ive tried different networks and still nothing.I have also tried reseting it but nothing same thing keeps happening, is this common with the new ipads because i have the first one and have never had any trouble connecting to wifi

    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app
        •    Tap on Wi-Fi
        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

  • IPad 4th gen won't charge?

I have recently got an iPad 4th gen (3 with lightning charger).
Last night I was on youtube watching videos, when suddenly the screen went black.
I plugged it into the wall, pressed the on switch.. it turned on and it was 1%.
    So I let it charge overnight (12:45am - 11:30am)
I go down to see it and its STILL on 1%
I use the plug (12WATT) that was provided in the box, and also the cable provided
both seem to be working fine as it says my iPad is charging due to the lightning symbol in the corner next to the percentage..
but my iPad will not budge past 1%
I have tried the power button and home button reset... twice and it hasn't worked either time.
Does anyone have any ideas why?
And what should I do, because I really need to use it..?
Update : I plugged it into my laptop and it now says 'Not Charging' in the top right hand corner?

    Hi Moll.x,
If you are having difficulties charging your iPad, you may want to follow the directions listed in this article -
iPhone and iPod touch: Charging the battery
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1476
Note that the article title says iPhone & iPod touch but the same steps are relevant to the iPad -
If your battery doesn't charge, or if your device shows a low-battery image, black screen, or "accessory not supported" alert, follow these steps.
Inspect the connector at the bottom of the phone:
Make sure that there are no bent pins in the connector.
Make sure that the connector is free from debris.
If there are bent pins or debris, please contact Apple Support.
    Otherwise, continue troubleshooting.
Make sure that the outlet you're using works.
Make sure that the Apple USB cable and Apple USB power adapter work.
Plug the device in to power and let it charge until your device turns on. This could take between 10 and 30 minutes. If you don't have an Apple USB power adapter, try connecting to a computer's high-power USB 2.0 port (not a keyboard). The computer must be on.
If the device still exhibits an issue, try turning your device off and then on again while connected to power.
If the issue persists, please contact Apple Support.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
    Best,
    Brett L

Can't photo stream from iMac 10.5.8. To new iPad 4th G. Can't seem to upgrade iTunes software . What can I do?.. Thanks John.

    Buy Snow Leopard upgrade:

See if the iTunes update is available with software update, get it from downloads (http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1576), or otherwise find the link to 10.7 in the "how do I downgrade from iTunes 11" threads. Most of them link to non-Apple sites carrying previous software versions like itunes 10.7.

  • HT4060 what is the charging time of new iPad 4th gen??

Hi have bought a new iPad 4th Generation. it takes more than 3 hrs to full charge even when i use its 10W adapter supplied with box. How much time exactly iPad takes to full charge??

That's a lot faster than most users report. Usually overnight.
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
How to Calibrate Your Mac, iPhone, or iPad Battery
    http://www.macblend.com/how-to-calibrate-your-mac-iphone-or-ipad-battery/
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. • New iPad 3d gen won't display email attachment???

    Hallo,
I have the new iPad with retina display, and I've recently noticed that the default mail app won't display the mail attchaments even though the incoming mails sport the paper clip symbol. In contrast to my iPad, my iPhone 4 opens the attachments from the same mails without any difficulty. I'll sum it up once more time to prevent any misunderstandings. The problem is not the fact that my iPad can't open the attachments but rather the attachments are nowhere to be found. This is a huge bug or what?
Ps: please don't tell me to restart my iPad or do a hard reset. Dohhhh! Thx.
Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.

Well duh ... I still don't understand what the heck you mean and frankly, so are there no misunderstandings - your statement makes no sense to me.
If you can open the attachments that is where they are - on the screen of the iPad - you just opened them. Where do you expect them to be?
You open the attachment and then you need a compatible app in which to save the attachment. If you are stating that the attachment opens but is not visible - that is something different. I have never seen that before.

  • IPad (4th gen) won't save photos from any source

This is a NEW iPad using iOS 6.1.2. I restored it from a backup of my previous iPad that was replaced under warranty last week. Here's what I've tried so far...
    Reset (3X)
Privacy settings for Photos set to allow Facebook access
Taking pics and video with the iPad
It won't even save the photos I take with the iPad.
    Suggestions appreciated.

I'm not sure this is related, but it sounds like it's worth checking to me:
You say you have set your privacy settings to allow Facebook access.
Are you signed on to Facebook (at Settings > Facebook)?
I would think you should be (but don't know this first hand).
Maybe toggling your Facebook login status would help.  (If you're logged out, then log in.  If you're logged in, then log out.)

  • IPad 4th gen won't rotate

    I cannot get my ipad screen to rotate at all when turning it on any apps. safari or anything for that matter. I have tried the following;
    - hard reset
    - soft reset
    - deleting apps on the quick menu
    - changing switch on side to lock screen and flicked on and off
    - double tapped home button and flicked across to check if locked there
    - the basic one, turned it off
This is a brand new iPad bought from pc world and I can't seem to get this to work, I updated straight onto iOS 6.1 when I opened it so I don't know if it was working before update or not.
    I'm stumped please help.

    1. Settings>General>Set Side Swith To: Rotation Lock
    2. Use Side Switch to control rotation
    3. Use Task Bar to control muting (double-click Home button and swipe Task Bar to the right; Rotation Lock is on the far left)

I have eventually sorted the problem, had to disable the anti-virus software (kaspersky) then reboot the computer, even though the anti-virus software was disabled the connections were still been blocked until the computer was rebooted, thanks

  • Is Win 7 Pro compatible with new iPad 4th gen Wifi?

Actually I know that it is... but my computer is failing to download the driver when I plug the iPad in to synch my music from iTunes. I am synching what I've downloaded from CD's not what I've purchased through iTunes. Anyway, is the driver available somewhere that I can manually download? I've restarted several times and keep having the same issue. I've looked online, downloads.com and other places, but not found anything I recognize as the solution.
    Thanks for your help!
    David

Driver is included in Itunes software during download and after download is in AMDS. You can try to reinstall driver as long as itunes download was not corrupted by your security or firewall.
It is actually described here, but not an easy process sometimes.

  • Brand New Touch 4th Gen won't sync out of box

This is driving me crazy. I've been using a 1st Generation Touch on my Vista PC. It started having a lot of problems dropping the wi-fi signal. Then, it just stopped syncing altogether. Not sure if it's related, but I wonder. iTunes wouldn't open and wouldn't recognize the device.
So, I tried everything. Reinstalling iTunes seemed to work, but only the first sync, then it would never work again until I uninstalled and reinstalled. Then I got a 1603 error, got through that to a 1611 error and then I got the USB icon and couldn't do anything with it. Was about to quit when I discovered YouTube videos (well, just Touch sync ones). I wound up trying to DFU and most amazingly it synced, finally.
The next morning, wouldn't sync again. I was so frustrated I decided to get a new one. Found one on craigslist, brand new, still sealed in box, great price, but no receipt, no warranty. Same problems! I just now reinstalled iTunes and that didn't even help. I don't want to fool around hacking the new one. And, I'm beginning to suspect (duh) that it's something wrong with my PC software, not the pods'.
Any recommendations? So incredibly frustrating, was just supposed to work out of the box, grrrr.
    Thanks for any help,
    Sharon

Why happens when you install the last compatible version of the podcast app and sync?
Starting when iOS 7 was released, Apple now allows downloading the last compatible version of some apps (iOS 4.2.1 and later only)
App Store: Downloading Older Versions of Apps on iOS - Apple Club
App Store: Install the latest compatible version of an app
You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists.

Try and force your iPad into Recovery Mode
    1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
    2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3.While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
    4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
