1. Try reset iPad
Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home button down together until you see the Apple Logo.
2. Sign out and sign back in to iTunes and App Store
Settings>iTunes and App Store>Apple ID>Sign out and sign in

Since updating to IOS 8.1 on ipad mini can't download apps from iTunes store. Apps show "waiting." Have reset to new condition with no improvement. Also turned off Wi-Fi and re-connected. Any solution? Thanks,
If you restored your iPad as new, and it still didn't help, I don't know if anything in here will help. in any event, I have posted this boilerplate of suggestions many times in the past and the suggestions in here have worked for others at one time or another. Feel free to give them a try.
1. Tap the "waiting" icon and see if you can pause it. If it does pause, then tap it again and see if it will resume. If that works, repeat the same steps for each "waiting" icon.
2. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
3. Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. If you see a downloads tab in the lower right corner, then there is a download in iTunes.
4. If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
5. You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again. Apps may also be able to be deleted in Settings>General>Usage>Storage if you cannot get the X to pop up on the icon.
6. You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered.
7. Reset your router. Unplug it from power for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in again. -

Theres almost a trick to it for first time users, goto SETTINGS...General......Cellular (if Verizon) ....Personal Hotspot, turn it on.....turn on wifi on your Mac, select your Iphone. Enter password.
If you take too long doing it, youll need turn turn off and on real quick the "personal hotspot" slider on the Phone.......then go quick again thur the Mac. -

Trying to update my ipad2 - went to Settings, General but I don't have a Software Download option. Now what?
Very old versions of the iOS prior to iOS 5 did not have the option to update over the air by using the Settings app. If your iOS is lower than 5.0 you need to update your iPad while connected to the computer you normally sync with.
First thing to do is start iTunes on your computer and use the menu to check for updates. Your iTunes must be version 11.1 so it you have and earlier version of iTunes on your computer update iTunes to 11.1.
Then start iTunes on your computer and connect your iPad. Select your iPad in iTunes and select General or Summary in the right side panel. Do a backup of your iPad next.
Once the backup is complete click on Check for updates. -

No Japanese carrier provides unlocking services. Therefore, your phone must have been hacked to unlock it. That hack was removed when you updated the software. You need to be a legitimately unlocked phone.

Looking for an information management solution. I have three boys that have brand new ipad mini's. I would like to set them up to manage information the easiest way.
My first thought was to use my apple ID for their apps and purchases. This would give me the advantage of seeing everything downloaded and be able to monitor this closely. The disadvantage to me, was that they would see all of my contracts, my apps, and my music.
My other thought was to create one new apple ID and to share that among the three boys. This way I would not have to worry about my information being on their ipads.
This is a very confusing situation for me. My goal is seperate my stuff from my kids stuff. Appreicate input from anyone who has in-depth experience with this as it applies to apple ID, icloud ID, and any detailed explaination of how to do this would be appreiciated. Thanks.I think I will do this. I will use my apple ID and set face time and message to work independently. That solves one problrem. My other problem and maybe my bigger problem is that if I am using my apple ID, how do I iflter all of this so that my kids don't see my contacts, get my apps, etc. ?

IPhones can connect to each other in Facetime, but new iPad mini can't
I just bought a new iPad mini. One of the main reasons my wife and I wanted this was to help when we are long distance in our relationship.
When I try to make/receive a Facetime call with the iPad mini (with my wife's Apple ID) to my phone, it places the call and then when answered it gets stuck at "connecting" and never makes it past that point.
The weird thing is that I can then make the same Facetime call with my wife's iPhone 4 to my iPhone 4 on the same WiFi network, and it works just fine.
I tried installing a VPN on the iPad Mini to see if that would help as I saw some threads where people said it was the kind of data packets being sent. I checked the router and plug and play mode is enabled. The IP address starts with 192 which one forum suggested is a double NAT problem, but that is crazy because I think half the US has an IP address like that.
Any help? This is driving me crazy. I'm going to bring it into the Apple Store this week sometime to verify that it has something to do with the way our modem/router/iPad are communicating, but I don't think they will be very helpful. I saw someone in there with a similar problem a few months ago and the guy just kept on telling the woman "it's your modem/Router/ISP's fault, not ours". Which is probably true to a degree, but Apple needs to figure out a way to avoid having this problem.Hello Georgia2006

Yes - you can either copy them to your computer's iTunes (via File > Transfer Purchases) and then sync them to the new iPad, or re-download them directly on the new iPad. If you want their content on the new iPad then copy the apps to your computer' iTunes (they need to be on there for the restore to work fully), backup the iPad by right-clicking the iPad 'device' on the left-hand side of iTunes and selecting Backup, and then restore that backup onto the new iPad

New iPad 2 won't install apps and movies
I purchased a new iPad 2 yesterday, and it won't sync 2/3 of the apps that I previously downloaded for my iPhone, even though they are compatible with the iPad and display in my iTunes list. I continue to receive the following message, "The app "xxxx" was not installed on the iPad because the app could not be found." I get the same exact message when I try to sync the iPad with my movies. Why can't the iPad sync the apps/movies, but the iPhone can?
I've tried shutting down and restarting iTunes multiple times. I even restored the iPad. What else can I do?

it's running ios 7.0.2 or something like that. I can't install new apps anymore, updates work fine. the 32gb real estate are only used for apps, I have no stored movies, photos, music. So there is room. There is also room on the screen itself. I know there is max number of apps you can install right? But even though I delete an existing app to replace with a new different one, it still won't install. I reset, turned on/off, everything but no luck. Please help.
Hook it up to the computer that you normally sync with and, if necessary, fire up iTunes. Look at the usage chart at the bottom of any screen. If it appears to be unreasonable, a "Restore" may be in order. Go to the summary screen and follow the on-screen instructions.
