What is the error number in the error message? To reset the phone you must press and HOLD both buttons for at least 10 seconds, and longer until an Apple logo appears.

Got my ipad mini. It works perfectly fine until I updated to ios 6.0.2. Now I can't connect to wifi. I've tried every solutions offered in every forums and internet sites but nothing happened. Still ipad cannot connect to wifi. HELP!!!
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Did you get any error messages? What happens when you try to restore from backup? Error messages?
If music, the apps themselves and some other items were not in yur iTunes library when you did the update they will not be on the iPod after the update. This is because the apps themselves (app data is in the backup), music and some other items are not part of the backup and are synced to he iPod during a latter stage of the update. -

I had a problem once and apple traded my damaged iPhone for a new one, i got everything from the old one, but nothing from the "new". On the german apple website i can find the sentence :
"Du kannst auch eine Liste der Seriennummern, die deiner Apple ID zugeordnet sind, finden und Informationen über die Verwendung von „Mein iPhone suchen“ für iPhone, iPad, iPod touch oder Mac bekommen."
On english this means :
"You can get a list of serialnumber, wich are addet with your apple id, and get information about the using of Find My Iphone for iPhone, iPad......"
But they don't tell me where i can find it.

i have tried to update both my iphone and ipad to the new software on itunes and both came up errors and locked me out telling me to connect to itunes but nothing happens
Try putting them in DFU mode. This helped me when it happened to my iPhone 5.
If you don't know how to do that there are plenty of tutorials on the internet. It only takes a couple seconds. -
My Mac has blue screened a couple of times this week it started to work a couple of times after that but now it is grey screening with inch wide blue lines from top to bottom the apple logo is also there it is trying to boot up again but won't. Not sure don't know anything about how to fix things but I suspect the fan has stopped working as I can't hear one. The problem I have I now live in Turkey and I am 1000 km from the nearest apple shop which is in Istanbul I believe and I now live in Didim, Altinkum I don't trust the everyday Turkish shop to take it to as they will tell you they know how to fix it but will probably make it worse, typical in Turkey. In other things, it seemed like the only time my MacBook was working was when I had Snow Leopard without the 10.6.8 update download that was supposed to be done to prepare for OS X Lion.
When I look at the information of my HD it says that I have 10.6.8 but that was the install that it claimed to have failed and caused me to restart resulting in all of the repeated problems.
Also, because my computer is currently down, and I've lost all files how would that effect the use of my iPhone? Because if it doesn't get fixed by the time OS 5 is released, how would I be able to upgrade?! -
I have an iPod Classic 60GB. It started to have problems and wouldn't sync.
I choose to restore it to factory settings.
The instructions and icon on the iPod say to plug it in to outlet with adapter but when I do, nothing happens.
Is there anything I can do at this point?
Would I be able to send it in to be fixed?
A 60GB iPod is too great to have not working!
Thanks, JoanKTBy outlet do you mean a USB port on your computer? If so does your I pod show up in iTunes? If not you will have to follow the appropriate steps for your iPod not showing up in iTunes for your particular OS. Are you using a Mac or a PC?

Do the following, then try again:
1. Close all open apps: Double click on the Home key and then swipe up on each of the thumbnails that appear above the open app icons
2. Sign out of the iTunes store: Settings>iTunes & App Store, click on your Apple/iTunes ID, then sign out
3. Check Settings>Safari, and make sure that "Block Cookies" is not set to "Always". If it is, change it to either of the other two options
4. Make sure you do not have Restrictions turned on. If they are turned on, make sure that access is allowed for Safari, iTunes Store, Installing Apps, and Deleting Apps
5. Reset your device (nothing will be lost): Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Silver Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the Home screen redisplays sign back into iTunes and try again

I only lost my music playlists and music that was on my phone, but that music is also on my iTunes, not the playlists though, and I don't want to go through ALL my iTunes library to fix it either... Whatever you do, do NOT upgrade to iCloud Drive, keep iCloud till OS X Yosemite comes out, if your computer is a Mac. I also just noticed that all my documents on my phone are gone from Pages, BUT if I go on the iCloud website they are still there. Hopefully it will all work itself out when I can update my macbook pro to OS X Yosemite.
If you backed up your phone and all your purchases off your iPhone prior to trying to upgrade you should be fine... But I'm not even remotely sure. -
