My new iphone 6 plus won't stay connected to the internet

I rebooted my phone, reset the internet connection several times, and rebooted my wireless router and it still won't stay connected. Now what?

Can you go to the wifi settings and select your network and "forget" that network?  Are you on the latest update?  What version of iOS are you using?
From another source:
Others have found that heading into Privacy > Location Services > System Settings (all the way down at the bottom > and turning off Wi-Fi Networking did the trick.

  • My Airport won't stay connected to the internet

I was previously using ethernet to connect.  I have had the airport for a few months and can connect to the internet okay from my laptop.  I now wish to use my airport to connect.  I set it up without a problem and it does connect.  Problem is that I lose the connection after a minute or so.  I run through diagnostics which tells me my connection is okay.  It is at that point but I again lose connection after a minute or so.  Back to diagnostics and the circle of events continues.  I have re-started the computer to no avail.  Help anyone?

I should say that my computer won't stay connected to the internet.  I have reset the airport.  The airport extreme works and connects fine with my laptop, ipad and iphone.

  • My iMac won't stay connected to the internet, even though all other computers in my house stay connected

My iMac won't stay connected to the internet, even though all other computers in my house stay connected, and its connection is set up the same way my fiance's macbook is (his macbook is about three years older than my iMac). Every time my computer goes into sleep mode and I come back (even if it's mere seconds after giving the black screen) I have no internet connection. I discovered a workaround for it some time ago, but now that is working less and less, and now my computer randomly disconnects WHILE I'm actively using the internet. Just a few minutes ago, the connection refused to come back until I restarted my computer, even though once again all other computers in the house were connected. The workaround I discovered before and which doesn't work as reliably now, is to click opne Airport at the top right of the screen, click "Open Network Preferences," then click "Assist me," then click "Diagnostics," and wait for everything to turn green again, signalling a connection.

Let's check the quality of your connection since signal strength alone does not insure a good connection. The "bars" that you see at the top of the iMac screen are there pretty much for show.
Hold down the option key on the iMac while you click on the Apple icon at the upper left corner of your screen and select System Profiler
Look down the list of items at the left of the window until you find the setting for Network, then click on AirPort.
In the window to the right, look for any listings of your wireless network name. You may possibly see two listings for the wireless network name.
We need for you to list the information that you see for Signal / Noise.  These will be negative numbers. Post back with your findings and we will continue.
In the meantime, please move any cordless phones that you have or any other electronic devices that are near the iMac as far away as possible from the iMac.
If the iMac is located in a corner or an enclosed area, give it as much room as possible since the wireless antenna is on the back of the iMac and it needs to be able to "see" the room.
Anything that you can do to minimize the number of obstructions like walls or furniture etc between the iMac and the wireless router will help the cause as well.

  • Have an iMac G5 won't stay connect to the internet

Have an iMac G5 won't stay connect to the internet by cable/ethernet for more than minute or so.  After I reboot the Verizon modem I have five green lights, ethernet, network settings, isp, internet server all green.  Open browser, internet, server go red.  Somehow my grand-daughter downloaded some program that gives me a world back ground "Not licensed evaluation use only". If I change the background the world background comes right back.

    Aminiman:
    What make is the router?
What are the firewall settings on your Vista? What puzzles me is that your steam connection is fine and yet you cannot browse the internet.
I am sure you have right clicked on the system tray icon (wireless connection) and chose to repair the connection right?

  • My Macbook Pro suddenly won't stay connected to the internet.

My Macbook Pro recently has had problems staying connected to the Internet. Our other Macbook Pro is having the same problems. I have already spoken with with our ISP, AT&T. After trying several things, they said that it may have to do with Safari and that they couldn't suggest any settings changes to our browser because it might disqualify any warranties that we have on our Notebook if another company makes changes to it. I've spent hours and hours trying to resolve this and it's driving me nuts. Also my wireless HP Printer won't stay connected either. Not long ago AT&T sent us a new modem/router (all-in-one), that is why I called AT&T to see if it was the new modem. But come to think of it, I had called AT&T because of this connectivity issue and now I'm thinking that it wasn't them at all. Maybe it has to do with Apple. I'm a Apple lover, so please help!!!

Also my wireless HP Printer won't stay connected either.
Does that mean it won't stay connected to the network, or it's not reachable from your Mac? There's a difference.

  • New iPhone 5s won't stay connected to my iMac,

brand new, up to date iphone 5s won't stay conected to my imac 10.7.5, computer says iphone lacks necessary services. seems to connect briefly before dissing my phone. what to do?

The little circle means you are connected to Edge data (if you are on GSM). It is the slowest of the data speeds. There has to be a reason you are losing your wifi. Have you tried to reset your wifi router? Does the wifi stay connected at locationis other than home? Steps to try for wifi troubles are after resetting the router, reset your phone, hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together  until you see the Apple logo and then release. If this does not help, then go into Settings, General, Reset, Reset Network Settings. Understand this will remove all wifi passwords of other wifi networks as well. If this doesn't work, then you may have to try and restore the phone, first from a backup and if that doesn't help, then as a new device.

  • Bought a new iPhone 4S which I cannot connect to the internet, mobile data network activation is not possible!

I recently bought a new iPhone 4S in Singapore and found out that I cannot connect the iPhone to the internet over my mobile 3G connection.
The telephone function is working fine as well as wifi; just connecting to the internet through my simcard is not possible.
I hav another existing iPhone 4S, and in this iPhone the mobile internet connection 3G is working perfectly!
I discoverd 1 difference between the two iPhones:
On the new iPhone if I look at
Settings / General / About / Carrier : the text "Orange UK 13.0" is displayed
On my existing it says: "T-Mobile Nl 13.1

Sorry, but I think you were ripped off.  There is no way a "new" iphone came out of the box provisioned for a carrier in a completely foreign network and country.  And Orange phones are sold locked to Orange, so if it is working with your T-Mobile SIM, it has to have been hacked.  That would be like me here buying a new iPhone and discoverying it was showing some carrier in Austrlia - just completely beyond reasonable explanation.
If you try and restore, I'd bet money it relocks to Orange and won't accept your SIM at all.
You can try wiping out all network settings and setting things up fresh (maybe do that with the SIM out, then see if it reads the settings correctly from the SIM).
Settings - . General -> Reset -> Reset network Settings

  • LINKSYS N750 - EA3500 Won't stay connected to the Internet!!!

This SMART WI-FI router is AWFUL!  First of all, I'm smart!!! So I don't like the "easy" system set-up where you can't make your own decisions.  It's frustrating.
Anyway, I could never get the first one to connect to the internet at all.  I exchanged it at the store.  Came home and hooked up the new router.  It worked for almost a FULL 6 DAYS!!!  I spent 2 hours trying to fix it, re-booting everything and so on. Finally, I got it to connect to the internet again.
2 DAYS LATER - "No INTERNET CONNECTION".  Wi-fi piece is great... All my devices can hook to it.  It's just that none of them can reach the internet because the router won't!  I have a charter cable modem.  I can hook directly from the modem to my laptop w/Ethernet cable & I'm on the internet.  It's not Charter.  Called Linksys again.  "They wool liking me purchase warranty".  I don't want a warranty.  I WOULD LIKE SOMEONE SPEAKING ENGLISH TO FIX WHAT I JUST SPENT $100 FOR!!!
After an HOUR W/no speaky english butthole... For $40 he'll upload some info from my charter modem and make it work.  UGHHHH!!!! SO FRUSTRATED!  I will never ever ever ever ever purchase another linksys router.  They used to be great, the best... an now, they aren't.  My D-Link worked fine with the internet... but my daughter couldn't get signal upstairs.  With this router, she gets signal - Unfortunately, the purpose was to get internet!
By the way, please tell your customer NO SERVICE reps in India... That in America - We don't treat women like **bleep**.
ANY IDEAS??? I just bought this product.  I've had it less than 2 weeks... Why should I have to pay to get it fixed.

Try to upgrade the router’s firmware if the firmware has not been updated yet and then reset the router afterwards. You can try to adjust the router’s mtu size using this link: http://kb.linksys.com/Linksys/ukp.aspx?vw=1&docid=fbf8e8564632422eaa8ea80bf9dcba64_386.xml&pid=80&re... for better router performance. In case the router’s performance does not have any improvement, then consider to returning the router and have it replaced.

  • My Mac Mini won't stay connected to the internet.

I am using an Airport base station.  I get max bars on my menu bar.  I routunely connect to the internet with my laptop, my iphone and two ipads.  Never a problem.  I launch Safari or Firefox from my mini and get the message "you are not connected to the internet".  I click on network diagnosis, select the airport network and get the message "your internet connection appears to be working correctly.  At this time I am instantly connected to my homepage.  This lasts for no more than a minute and the connection is dropped.  I have been through this many times, always with same results.  The mini had previously worked fine over this network.  I had a power outage (my UPS died and had to be replaced) for a couple of days and have had the connection problem ever since.  All other devices work and connect fine.

and... your DNS(in Network Pref/Advanced/DNS) is maybe 192.168.1.1 or 10.0.0.1 or ... nothing?
Is Wi-Fi in the top of the "Service Order" pane?
If not, click the "gear' and from the drop down menu click "set service order" and drag Wi-Fi on top.
Click "apply" and check your internet again? Any progress? if not , continue reading...
Before going any deeper, let's try with a "new location"
In Network Pref click "Assist me" and choose "Assistant". Follow the next steps till the new location is created.
    Try again with your browser.

  • My mac won't stay connected to the internet, and it has ethernet, it's not working.

My  mac will not connect to the internet and i REALLY need it to! like NOW!!! this is a big problem because the internet is its primary use. this is realy bad. its using ethernet and i have tried everything i know of and im so confused and i need help... any help would be GREATLY apreceated! tysm!

When I connect the Mac directly to the modem it will connect. My other devices will not connect to the Mac when it's wired to the modem.
When the airport is connected to the modem all devices and the Mac will connect to it.
At some point, the airport will drop the internet connection, but the green ligjht on the airport stays lit. Diagnostics show it's not connected to the internet. iOS will connect to the network at that time, so will Mac, but none can acheive internet connection.
My ISP is xplornet as I am rural Canada. Spoke to them yesterday and thier end shows I have a connection, so they asked me to power cycle the airport and it connected no issues. They also said if it happens again, as in drops during the night, that it's likely my router that is the issue. My signal is great, the waether is sunny and clear and nothing is blocking my reciever on the roof...and I am sad becasue I lubs the internets.

  • We have a MIFI 551OL-956F  It won't stay connected to the internet.  Anything we can do to correct this.  Tired of being in middle of transaction and have to sign of and restart and sometimes that doesn't work.

Is there anything we can do to keep our internet signal?  Tired of being disconnected.  Just switch to this in December/January.

First thing we would need to do is determine if the problem is with the local WiFi or with the VZW towers.  There are a few isolation tests that could help us figure that out.
For example to test local WiFi you would need to take a look at your local airwaves.  There are many free WiFi analyzer applications such as WiFi analyzer for Android.  Fire up one of these guys and watch the air for a while to determine what may be going on.  2.4 Ghz has a very limited number of non-overlapping channels which are ideal to be on, if you are in an apartment or have many neighbor signals near by then 5.0 Ghz is certainly worth a shot.
To test the VZW towers you would have to travel to a different area for a while and compare your results.  For example test directly outside your home or in a different area of your town.  If you happen to travel out of town then test at your destination when a different tower can be used. Something that can assist you here is called a site survey.
    More info on Site Surveys:
    http://3gstore.com/page/13_will_an_antenna_help_me.html
If no progress can be made in either of these areas then there's a chance the Jetpack is bad and would need to be replaced.  One thing is for sure the more leg work you do on your own before calling VZW the quicker you will flow through their troubleshooting and arrive at an acceptable solution.

  • IPHONE 3G Won't stay connected to bluetooth hands free on car hifi

    Hello,
I have just switched to the iphone 3G from my Nokia 8800 and the iphone 3G won't stay connected to my Pioneer head unit! It connects OK manually but the "AUTO" connection function on the Pioneer does not work with the Iphone, But it does work with the Nokia OK!!
So everytime i come back to the car it doesn't work till i go through the whole connection 5 minute procedure again!
Have factory reset the pioneer but no cigar.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks, Chris

I would try a reset or a restore first. Also, chances are that you paid for your phone using a credit card. Most credit cards give buyer an extra year of warranty protection. If you paid with a credit card and the purchase date is less than two years, call your credit card company and ask if they can pay for the repair.

  • HT1695 My iPhone 4S won't stay connected to my wifi any longer.

My iPhone 4S won't stay connected to my wifi any longer. This just started after the recent update to iOS 6.1.2 (or 6.1.1). If I do a reboot, it'll connect the first time, but then drops later, and won't reconnect until I reboot again. Any suggestions?

i have a similar problem except i've a 3GS.  i took the phone to the "Genius Bar" and the "Geniuses" there did nothing more than clean out the lint that had accumulated over the past three years.
here's the link to my thread:  https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3947285
I've done everything possible with the phone and my router at home (though, as you can tell from reading what i've done, anything related to my router at home is moot because th eissue persists anywhere i go...)  all i can think is that it's a OS issue some how.  I may try to wipe and install an older OS or jail break it to see what happens.
My bets are on what people have said to me though in passing:  this is Apple's way of making people want to move onto the iPhive (name trademarked by me!) due to frustrations with their iPhour or iPhthree (that doesn't work so well does it...).
