I had exactly the same problem. Only soultion is to either wait for the next update, which may or may not fix the issue, or do like I did and take the iphone back to the AT&T store and pay the exchange fee of $30+ bucks and get a new iphone. You could also send it back to Apple to have them repair it. This simply cannot be fixed any other way.
Sorry friend.... I was cursing Apple after my VERY FIRST experience with one of their $300+ gadgets.

If you have connected to other wi-fi successfully, then your wi-fi should be working. Try power cycling the router. Disconnect it from power for about 30 seconds and then restart it. After it has come back, try connecting again.

I would do a hard restart and then make sure you flip the Vibrate botton on and off on the side. If that does work i would reset to factory settings. If that does not work i would take it to a apple store, Good luck

Thank you for the question. It sounds like there is no sound with an incoming phone call or text. Have you checked to see if Do Not Disturb was accidentally enabled? You will see a "moon" icon in the status bar if it is enabled.
You can disable Do Not Disturb in Settings > Do Not Disturb or in the Control Center as described in the following articles:

IPhone will not ring if locked even when Do Not Disturb is not on. Even when the sound toggle on the side is not red. This problem occurs regardless of whether it I have Do not Disturb on (manually, or scheduled) or COMPLETELY OFF.

I've tried wiping the phone and reinstalling from a saved copy but of course the problem comes back because the problem is inherent in the save. There are two options under "Silence" at the bottom of the Do Not Disturb preferences. "Always" or "Only when iPhone is locked". Those are the only two options and I want neither. No amount of deselecting will work. It forces you to pick one.
Does anyone have a solution given that I've better explained the problem?

The settings at the bottom of the Do Not Disturb page do not matter if you have the switch for Manual turned to off, or the Scheduled turned to off.
When the phone is unlocked, if you try to raise the volume of the ringer, what do you see on the screen? Does it say ringer, do you see the word headphones anywhere?

New iPhone will not connect to iTunes Store. Not able to activate

I bought my iPhone 3 weeks ago from an AT&T store and use it everyday. It works fine. I bought one for my wife 2 days ago from the same AT&T store and it does not work. After spending 2 + hours on the phone with Apple level 1 and 2 support, the final diagnosis is a bad sim card. (Apple phone support was very good and very professional) They are in process of sending me a box to mail the iPhone in for service and I am confidant they will fix the problem. I am disappointed, however, the iPhone did not work out of the box and I now have to wait for service on a brand new iPhone.
Has anyone experienced the following problem?
When connected to iTunes, the iPhone is not able to connect to the iTunes store and I receive the following error message, "We could not complete your iTunes request. The network connection timed out. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active." I was not able to activate it.
The iPhone screen itself shows the iTunes logo and the sync connector. iTunes does not give me the ability to activate the phone nor make any changes to it. iPhone shows up in the device listing, but that is it. There are no settings in iTunes for making changes or setting up the new phone.
When I plug my iPhone into the computer, everything works fine. The new iPhone does not. I tried everything Apple recommended including: Resetting the phone and deleting / reinstalling iTunes, but nothing worked. So, here I am waiting for service on a brand new iPhone that I have paid for and am paying for monthly service, but cannot use. Kind of stinks...

Right now I have restored the MAc os6 back on my Iphone, works, but the can't call anywhere, it is set airplane mode. Today! I tried dial 611, this is a Ipod iphone5 32gb for mow.
