My new Nano has no Fitness "steps" program.

How can I get the software for the "steps" portion of the Fitness program?

There is no "walk" option in the Fitness program on my new Nano. All I have is "Pedometer" and "History".
Should I take it back to the store because the "walk" or "steps" program is missing? The 6th Generation Users Manual shows this as part of the program, so I would very much like to see it on MY Nano.

Sorry. We can't help you. It's no longer an iPhone. Apple won't touch it.
Take it to whoever replaced the screen and see if they can help you.
iPhones are not user servicable and Apple does not sell iPhone parts at all. I'd be surprised if you were actually able to back it up at this point. It sounds like it's completely borked.

The white plug at the bottom of the nano doesn't seem removeable.

The new Nano has the smaller Lightning connector instead of the dock connector. Apple has two adapters to connect the new connector to old docking accessories.
This one is just an adapter, but may be awkward for use with a dock accessory.

The New Nano: Should I Buy?

I posted this question on the Macworld forum in response to their iPod Buying Guide, but figured I'd ask it here too. Here's my dilemma:
I have a first-gen iPhone (8GB) that I got last December running the 2.2 software update and have roughly 1100 songs on the iPod. It works great. My problem now is, ever since the new Nano was released, I've been smitten with it, especially after test-driving one at Best Buy. After that experience, I really, really want one.
And that's my issue: I WANT one, even though logic tells me I don't need it.
I should mention that I'm a little OCD when it comes to my iPod cuz I only have complete albums on there -- no playlists, singles, etc. I got a 2GB Shuffle last April so I could load up on all those hit singles that I don't want littering my iPhone's iPod. It's worked well for me -- just feed the little guy when I want and listen to it whenever the mood strikes.
I guess what I'm really asking is, is there any justifiable (practical) reason to getting a Nano?

The tech can be addictive!
In my case, I picked up a new Nano and relegated my old smaller capacity iPod to permenant Car duty with all my audiobooks.
If you are completely happy with what you have, why change?
However, if you decide you need more capacity or some other feature the new Nano has that your iPod does not, then go for it.

New nano freezes after Nike workout, loses workout data

My new nano has not frozen for a third time after giving me my workout summary at the end. It doesn't save my data and thus is a complete waste. I will be exchanging it for a new one, but I hope this is fixed otherwise it will be returned.

Mine has also continued to have this problem intermittently. It appears to be random. Sometimes I finish my run, and all is fine with both the ipod and the uploading to nike's website. Other times the nano resets itself as soon as I hit menu after viewing my completed workout's summary.
I was contacted by someone from Apple, so they appear to be trying to fix the situation. It's gotta be hardware-related as it doesn't necessarily happen every time.
Very annoying though. I could go for a runs on my own without spending the extra money on the receiver/sensor. The whole point of it is being able to record and monitor your progress IMO.

Adobe Cloud has 2 different Muse programs.... how do I know which one is the newer better version?

So I am new to Muse, and my Adobe Cloud has 2 different programs from Muse... how do I know which one is the newer better version?
One Must program (Muse CC 2014.2) has a black background when working on it... it looks like other Adobe programs such as Photoshop.
The other one is light color (Muse CC) very similar to the black color Muse on functions.....
One of the difference I notice is that the light color Muse has a few widgets in the library, while the black background Muse seems to have an empty library
So... why are there 2 different Muse programs in my Adobe Cloud?

The latest version of Muse is 2014.2, so you need to uninstall another version of Muse manually.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Itunes, but it still gets hung up when trying to access the Itunes Store from the Itunes program.
I've been unable to register the new Nano or sync it with my library.

With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:

New ipod nano doesn't fit new ipod hifi

I just bought a new 4 meg ipod nano and apple ipod hifi from the London Apple Store. The ipod nano doesn't fit in its adapter. Anyone know of this problem? I'm gobsmacked that Apple's quality control let this happen!

If possible I would arrange for a good service center to go over it. Hopefully they have a variety of parts in stock. They can test and verify all is working. The previous attempts are based on guesses by the person at the other end of the phone without diagnostic tests to assess the culprit. It is extremely unlikely for a webcam to fail & for it & a Mic to fail together should be an indicator to a good technician it is something else. EG Motherboard

Doublechecking. Have you also tried a complete uninstall of both iTunes and all the other related software components and then a reinstall? If not, try the instructions from the following document:

Brand new Nano 7th gen has no sound!

Brand new Nano 7th gen has no sound. I've tried 3 different headphones, turned volume up, watched the bar indicate the song is on play, cannot find a mute switch (or indicator on screen) and can't understand why I can't hear music. Can there be an earphone jack problem on a brand new Nano? Help please!

Are the headphones plugged all the way in? Does the FM radio work?
