Occasionally hotmail will open just fine but I cannot access any of my listed e-mails or files. At the same time everything works just fine in Chrome. How to sincronize with itunes an 3G iphone that has the same name as the new 4S

I've just boght a new 4s iphone to substitute my old 3G so when asked by itunes I didn't change the name of the new iphone. Now I have two I phones with the same name and the old one is not able to sinchronize with I tunes any more. It's not even able to restore it self so I could change its name to use it under a different Iphone, does any one have any idea of what can I do to reutlize it,. It's easy to rename each unit. When you connect your iPad and it syncs, the unit will appear on the left of the iTUnes screens just click on the unit there and you can rename it. You should do this immediately so you can see which unit was backed up by it's name. You can sync as many decices as you want in one iTunes library and you can even share Apps as long as you're going to sync both from teh same iTunes account. My household has 2 iPad 2s and we share our apps, and we also share downloaded books, magazines, music, etc.......

My husband and I both have Macbook pros, can we both back up to the same TC? I have noticed a bunch of his files on my computer and I am not sure how they got there other than from the TC, Suggestions or advice helpful.

iPod Classic are high drain USB devices, I hope you are not trying to connnect them simultaneously to iTunes, which will definitely hang your USB Host controller, thereby freeze iTunes.

Connect your phone to iTunes, then right-click on the name of your phone on the left sidebar and select Reset Warnings. Then sync again and you should get a warning listing the problem files.

When you saw this dialog box, did you choose "Erase and Sync"?
If you did, your iPhone was erased, then your iTunes Library was transferred to it. If your iTunes Library was empty, your iPhone will be also.
Your previously purchased music, apps, books, and videos are still yours. You just have to download them again.

When I setup my new MacBook Pro, something slipped by me and my computer was named First-Lasts-MacBook-Pro (using my real first and last name).
I changed the computer name in Preferences/Sharing to a new name and Preferences/Accounts to just be Mike. I can right click on my account name, choose advanced, and see that everything looks right.
However, If I do a scan of my network with my iPhone using the free version of IP Scanner, it lists my computer as First-Lasts-MacBook-Pro! And it lists the user as First-Last.
So even though another Mac just sees my new computer name, and my home folder is Mike, somewhere in the system the original setup with my full name is still stored. And it's available on a network scan. So my full name might show up at a coffee shop.
Can I fully change the name without doing a complete re-install of Lion and all my apps?

One thought... you said the iPhone displayed your computer's old name? I think that you must have used the iPhone with this computer before you changed the name. So no one else's iPhone should display your full name unless that iPhone had previously connected to your Mac. For example, I did this exact same change, and I use the Keynote Remote app to connect with my MacBook Pro. It would no longer link with my MacBook Pro under the old name, and I found that I had to unlink and then create a new link under the new name. So the answer to your question is, there is nothing you need to do on the Mac, but rather the phone, and no other phone will display your full name.
