• Middle mouse button will not open a new tab anymore

The problem started yesterday. I did upgrade from 4 to 5, however, it started a few hours before hand.
I tried restarting in safe mode, still won't work.
My about:config is the way it's supposed to be: (middlemouse.openNewWindow;default;boolean;true) and the other three options are false.
and i checked my mouse options through control panel and couldn't find anything.

It did the trick for me. It seems that the driver "auto selected" "Scrolling"

with firefox 21, links will not open a new tab, only in the main window. I have set the option for tab opening, but it still will not work

Did you installed ASK toolbar?
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

• Firefox will not open any new tabs since windows update

I have windows 7 64, and recently, when windows automatically updated, my firefox will not open any new tabs, manually or when opening a link...

Uninstall the Ask toolbar and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar and Firefox that prevents new tabs from being opened.

• The wheel click button does not open a new window since the latest update (9.0.1)

Hi
I just want to report this bug in hope it will be fixed asap
The wheel click button does not open a new window since the latest update (9.0.1)
Thank you

Middle-click or click the scroll-wheel on a hyperlink has always opened a new Tab. Any chance you had an add-on that changed that action, and now that add-on is disabled or incompatible?

• New tap window will not open

duplicate - locking - https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/783813
I've asked earlier bout on Firefox that the new tap window will not open when I hit the open new tap button, but I just seen that it will open when it is forced to open a new tap window by the system..but when manually I still cnt open it @ all

Although advised not to, I finally hit the reset button in the Save Mode Window. This corrected the problem. I suspect a faulty add-on - I try and reject many. I will add them back on at a time as I develop the need. Thanks for you help.

• RAW (NEF) photos from my new Nikon D750 will not open with Photoshop Elements11 Camera RAW.

RAW (NEF) photos from my new Nikon D750 will not open in Camera RAS with Photoshop Elements 11. This has not been a problem with previous Nikon cameras. I'm using a MacBook Pro with OS X 10.9.5. How can I solve this problem?  Thanks.

Aside from upgrading to pse 13, you can use the 8.7.1 adobe dng converter to convert the files to dng copies, which pse 11 should then open.

Clarification: this is a user forum; you are not addressing Adobe here.
The answer to your question as phrased is: never.
CS5 is history and it is not longer supported.  There will not be any updates or bug fixes for CS5.
You need to convert the raw NEF files from your D810 to raw DNGs using the free, standalone Adobe DNG Converter 8.6 RC (beta), the first version ever to support that camera..

• Clicking a link will not open a new tab

On a Win7 computer, Firefox 34.0.5 works fine for the administrator account. For the user account however, a new tab will not open when clicking on a link in a web page. The settings under options / tabs are all checked properly. I have uninstalled Firefox, removed all the files from the profile directory for the user, then reinstalled Firefox - got the same result. I even uninstalled Flash player per https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1032376 - still, a new tab will not open when clicking on a link in a web page. Have tried safe mode and restoring defaults without any luck. I suspect the answer is simple (Occam's razor) - just can't seem to find it though.

Hi postseason, you said
<blockquote>
The link opens in the same window. It's not unique to any site, it's consistent.
</blockquote>
As John99 stated, that is the normal way that Firefox handles links. The setting in options refers to when links are coded to open in a new window, do you want a new window or do you prefer a new tab.
In addition to the methods John99 listed, Ctrl+click opens a link in a new tab (nearly always; links intercepted by scripts can evade it).
If you want ALL links to AUTOMATICALLY open in a new tab, you would need an add-on for that. I don't use it myself, but Tab Mix Plus has a very rich set of options for where to open links, bookmarks, etc. You can read more about it here:
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/tab-mix-plus/
As a footnote, Google has a search preference (here) that codes results to open in a new window, so that's why I asked if you only noticed the difference on particular sites.

• Upgraded to latest 3.6, new tabs button does not open new tab?

• Firefox will not open more than one window and upon restarting will not open the previous tab and refuses to open bookmarks

Firefox does not open more than one window. I can open plenty of tabs, but not more than one window. Upon closing firefox and trying to restart the browser will not open and needs to be closed through windows task manager. Upon trying to re-open Firefox I receive the 'oops this is embarassing , firefox cannot re-open your tabs" message. When I click on "new session" the bookmarks do not load. It is becoming very frustrating as I am a student and often do lots of research on the web while using lots of open windows.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
See:
* Troubleshooting extensions and themes
* Troubleshooting plugins
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
* Use "Disable all add-ons" on the Safe mode start window to disable all extensions.
* Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

• Links will not open in new window from iPad but work in IE on desktop.

I am trying to set some links to open in a new tab but for some reason they just keep opening in the original tab. External links work fine but when I try to make another page from my website open in new tab, it will not work.
I have looked at the code and it all looks fine.
<a class="nonblock nontext shadow rounded-corners clearfix grpelem" id="u105617-9" href="metro_tweets.html" target="_blank"><!-- content --><p id="u105617"> </p><p id="u105617-2"> </p><p id="u105617-3"> </p><p id="u105617-7">Metropolitan<br/>Region TWEETS</p></a>
I have also ticked the box that says "open the link in a new window or tab".
Any ideas what the issue could be? It has worked before so I am sure it can be done.
Would it have anything to do with the site hierarchy?
Cheers

Hi Aish,
Thanks for the quick reply.
I had a feeling you would ask me those questions so I'll give you a bit more background of what I am doing.
I have created a locally accessed web app as part of project I am working on at Universty. It is a mockup of an iPad app that I will eventually build, although it is fully functional in it's web app state. For this reason it is not hosted on any web server but instead transferred to the iPad via DiskAid and accessed from Mercury Browser.
Mercury browser is the only browser that I have found that can display html files from within it's own file storage and make it look like it is being served from a server. Safari browser will not let you do this and the only other browser that I found that could do it has been discontinued (Terra Browser).
Adobe Muse has been fantastic for doing this kind of work and as I said before, the internal links opened in a new tab with Mercury Browser previously, so I am not really sure what is going on.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Cheers
Garry
