My NI-FBUS 4.0 disk will not read. Can I get a copy?

My computer's hard drive crashed and my programs need to be re-installed, but my NI-FBUS 4.0 disk will not read. I suspect it is corrupted somehow. Can I buy/get a copy of the disk to match my USB FF interface?

Hi LJGremillion,
Besides CD, we also provide the web download for NI-FBUS software. Here is the download page for NI-FBUS 4.0:

  • I have gone through all the suggested steps to restore the navigation toolbar to the default position, yet none have worked. Is there anyway I can do so? If not, where can I get a copy of the previous edition of Firefox?

I have tried all posted means to restore default settings to my navigation toolbar. Are there other ways?

I was a strong supporter of Firefox until this happened. None of the fixes have worked...and besides why should I have to waste my time trying to fix it in the first place. I lost a lot of time and information with this situation and Firefox provides no support for itself that I can see. No...I've switched to Google Chrome and Firefox will have a serious uphill climb getting me back or preventing me from warning others off their product. FIREFOX HAS COST ME SEVERAL HOURS...NO...DAYS REPAIRING THIS DAMAGE. I won't be back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank god we still have the freedom to chose in this country...at least for now.
P.S. I hope Firefox goes the way of Netscape. I was once a supporter of their product too...but they blew it bad...

  • My Mac Mini will not read TDK disks from my iMac G3.

My Mac Mini will not read TDK disks from my iMac G3.
I used an iMac G3 (2001) -- the ones that looked like a big pod -- running on OS X and saved files to TDK  CD-R, 700 MB disks, which worked fine. Now that I have a Mac Mini (model number  A1347) I cannot get this computer to read those disks, made on the iMac G3.  Once inserted each disk will open and I can retrieve files for a short period, then the problems start. The computer makes some noises, the beach-ball/pinwheel goes around and I cannot get the files to open or the disk to eject. After a while the disk does eject -- to my relief. I keep using Control+E until ejection happens.
My Mac Mini (2010-2011) is hooked up to a View Sonic HDMI LED monitor, an iOmega external hard-drive for backing up, an Epson Stylus C88 Plus printer and to the internet by a fibre 10MB feed. The Mac Mini runs on OS X version 10.6.8 Snow Leopard: Processor Speed:2.66 GHz
I took the Mac Mini to an Apple retailer and he hooked the computer up to one of his monitors and it read the TDK disks just fine. I am now using Sony CD-RW, 700 MB disks, but I would prefer to use my TDKs because I have such a large pile of blank ones to use and there are those TDK disks with information that I want to look at from time to time. Can anyone tell me what to do?

Try disconnecting everything attached to the Mini except the monitor.
If that doesn't work, try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. If Back-to-My Mac is selected in System Preferences, the Guest account will not work. The intent is to see if it is specific to one account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later. If successful, copy the files to the original account Public/Dropbox.
Isolating an issue by using another user account
If the problem is still there, try booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account.  Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up after waiting 10 seconds. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.

    Hi Samcat,
You can use a download instead of the disk as an alternative: Adobe - Download free trial version Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 | Adobe you can license with your serial
Please test the disk in another windows machine to check if it's caused by the drive or the disk. If you tested with 2 drives please start a support case, i assume Adobe will only provide downloads at this point. They are the same as the trials. If you still need a disk you can burn the trial to a disk as a backup disk. Good luck!

Use of any software made available for download from this system constitutes your acceptance of the Export Control Terms and the terms in the Toshiba end-user license agreement both of which you can view before downloading any such software.
    Information:
Many Toshiba PCs can boot (start Windows, or another operating system) from devices other than the built-in hard disk (HDD) or built-in diskette drive (FDD). These devices include USB diskette drives, CD-ROM discs, a local area network (LAN), and PC Card (PCMCIA) hard disk drives.
Toshiba PCs that offer alternate boot devices allow you to specify which device to boot from (the 'boot priority') by three methods:
    From BIOS Setup (semi-permanent setting)
Boot priority specifies the order in which the computer searches for a bootable operating system. For example, if you set your system to boot from devices in this order: CD-ROM > HDD > LAN, the computer first checks for a bootable CD, then for a bootable HDD, then for a bootable LAN, and loads the operating system from the first one it finds.
Different models offer different options for setting boot priority. For information about how to access the BIOS/CMOS settings on your Toshiba PC, please see the Support Bulletin entitled "How to access the BIOS Settings on your Toshiba Portable PC" that is applicable to your model. By setting the boot priority in this manner, the boot selected priority setting will be retained for all future restarts, until it is changed again.
From the Boot Device Menu (temporary setting)
When the TOSHIBA splash screen is displayed when you first turn on your computer, a boot menu prompt may be displayed for a few seconds near the bottom of the screen, indicating that a key (F2 or F12, for example) can be pressed to display a menu of boot options. The time allowed for detecting the keypress is very brief, so you'll need to be both prepared and quick.
On some models this prompt reads Press F12 for boot menu. On others, it may say Press C to boot from CD-ROM. On still others, there may be a row of colored icons representing the various boot devices (HDD, FDD, CD, LAN, PCMCIA, etc.) Press F12 while these icons are displayed, and then use the arrow keys to move the cursor from one to another. As new models are released, the wording of these prompts may change.
On models that offer a text boot device menu, simply press the key corresponding to the desired boot device from the list of available devices.
The selection of a boot device from any of these boot device menus affects only the current startup operation; the next time the computer is started it will follow the boot priority setting established in BIOS Setup (see the BIOS Setup method, above).
From the Boot Device Hotkeys (temporary setting)
Immediately after pressing the power-on button, press the hotkey for the device from which you wish to boot:
    Hotkey Boots from device
    C IDE CD-ROM1
    F ISA FDD2
    U USB FDD3
    N internal LAN adapter4
The computer will boot from the selected device if it finds a bootable operating system, otherwise it will search for a bootable device, following the boot priority set in BIOS Setup.
"IDE CD-ROM" refers to the computer's internal CD-ROM drive (built-in, SelectBay, or built-in to a Toshiba docking device).
"ISA FDD" refers to an internal or SelectBay diskette drive, or an external diskette drive that connects to the PC through a special Toshiba-proprietary connector.
Not all models support booting from a USB-connected diskette drive.
Not all models support the hotkey for the internal LAN adapter, even though they may support booting from LAN.
The selection of a boot device from Boot Device Hotkeys affects only the current startup operation; the next time the computer is started it will follow the boot priority setting established in BIOS Setup (see the BIOS Setup method, above).
    Notes:
Booting from a CD in a CD-ROM drive requires that the CD be made bootable when it is created ('burned'). Simply copying files to a CD does not make it bootable.
If a "PXE..." error is displayed when you start the computer, it indicates that the computer is attempting to boot from a network (LAN), but is not able to find a remote boot server. If this happens repeatedly, and you are not deliberately trying to boot from a network server, change the boot priority in BIOS Setup to make 'LAN' the last entry in the list of boot devices.

You can't run PSE from a USB drive, nor can you transfer PSE to a different computer via a USB drive. PSE must be installed on a computer using the installer program provided by Adobe.

True I Dont need to do so many (so to speak) But I use my system mainly for audio production and I always have some new update, plug-in, or this or that I am doing to my system. And In all fear and respect for the ghost bugs computers sometimes get, , I always do repair perm after any update or maintenance, and , so far, knock on wood, My systems for the past 5 years have been trouble free

  • My new macbook pro will not read a pc disk

A DVD-r generated on a PC of unknown type and model was given to me. My Mac will not read it, but other PCs will. I am in the wilderness here physically and I really need to read this disk. My MBP is fully up to date with OS 10.6.8 The internal drive can read other DVDs just fine. I insert the DVD and my computer reads it as blank. Can you help? I thought MBPs could read anything. Silly me

Chances are that the disc was burned without finalizing it on the PC, which is essential for a Mac to be able to read it. If that wasn't done, there's no way you can access its contents. This is not a result of the machine on which it was burned, it's a user error. Request another copy of the disc that has been finalized properly.
