My noctua d14 is running to fast on my p67a-g45-b3

ive just installed noctua d14 with the low noise adapter, but its still to noisy, its spinning around 920rpm
how do i lower it more?
and what exactly is smart fan target in bios?

The PWM control works perfectly well with PWM fans.
If you don't have PWM fans then you will need to consider alternatives.
The Noctua fans allow two speeds, thats in the manual.

If you wish to control these fans outside the low RPM and normal RPM, the you will need to get a variable fan controller. You can also try to use the 3 pin System Fan #1 board header and set that one in the BIOS to 25%. You can then try and control that fan speed inside the BIOS through something like Speedfan.
Another option is to get replacement fans that do have PWM control.

I know the topic is a little bit old, but I am seeing this issue as well. Since no answer was ever posted, I thought I would bring it up again. I have several animated gifs that play normally in a web browser, but when I try to display them in Java, they play extremly fast. I am just adding an ImageIcon, the animated gif, to a JLabel and setting the ImageIcons ImageObserver to the label. This technique worked in 1.3 but appears to be broken in the 1.4 releases. I have 1.4.1_02 installed right now.

Why would my video clips be running too fast when played on the monitor panel?

I posted my problem earlier today, but re-reading it maybe I didn't explain myself well enough.
My main question is: "why would my video clips be running too fast when played on the monitor panel ?". This is occuring after I have selected my media from the Tasks Panel and placed them in correct order in the Timeline/Sceneline. I knew something was wrong when I could see that the clips were not indicating their right length when viewed in the (expanded) timeline. They were compressed into just a few seconds, whereas the clips should have been at least 5 minutes. I ran the clips in the monitor and sure enough they ran too fast, with a lot of jerking movements.
The 3 video clips I am trying to make into a HD PAL video were taken with my Nokia N8 mobile video camera. These are in mp4 format. Can this present a problem ? Note that when I play these individual HD clips on my computer in (Windows Media Player) they run fine.
After I placed the clips in my Project Panel (or before in the Organize Workspace), I have perforned no change or manipulation of the clips. They are in their original state.
Just too confirm that the clips did seem to be compressed, I burnt a DVD, the resultant video ran in a matter of seconds.
Help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, that is what the problem was.
Although the video camera on my Nokia N8, mobile was capturing at 25fps,
for some reason once transfered over to PrE9 (via file transfer), the clip was interpreted as 500fps. Once in Interpret Footage I was able to change the fps to 25.

Is there anyway I can run a faster OS on my G4 Powerbook (pre Intel)?

I was very kindly given a G4 Powerbook by my uncle, but after waiting a whole year to get it I was heartbroken to realise I could not sync my iPhone 5 as it needs to run a faster OS to be able to run iTunes 11. My mum established it is a pre Intel processor which is going to make things virtually impossible and she and my other uncle have trawled for advice and instruction on the possibilty of upgrading the processor which is coming up as a big fat NO! (an occassional person seems to think you can change the whole board but most seem to think this won't work!) A new machine is not going to happen even 2nd hand we don't have the money and I was over the moon when my uncle gave me his (very) old one the only reason I have a 5 is because I saved so hard and it put together with various family members for Christmas and Birthday. If I can't upgrade the processor at all is there any other way at all I can run it on any faster OS to be able to run an updated enough iTunes to be able to sync it to my phone?

The path to upgrade to a later OS X requires a different build series intel-based architecture and a few companies offer used repaired guaranteed models, older yet still serviceable Apple portables, some also have desktops. Parcel costs vary.
And to reach the newer App Store, iTunes Store, Mac App Store, etc you'd need to get Snow Leopard OS X 10.6(.8) on DVD, or a computer model such as MacBook 13-inch Late 2009 that shipped with 10.6, and included a system install-restore disc. The original packaged applications would likely not be available, in a used or refurbished third-party computer, usually the as-shipped OS X system in basic form.
A MacBook from 2006 can run Snow Leopard 10.6(.8) but any included software would be older than that; so the retail DVD for 10.6 from Apple costs about $20. before shipping. Older MB models have a ceiling on what OS X versions they can use, based on hardware limitation and age.
Depending on where you are located, you could probably get a fair deal on a repaired used MacBook for around $350 or so, plus shipping. And extra fees, taxes, duty, when shipped to another country. wegenermedia has some intel-based macbooks and options for a fair price; they repair too.

An intel-based Mini with at least 2 or 4GB RAM and OS X 10.6.8 could likely be OK, depending on cost and whatever was included with it. And be sure it is not a powerPC old model. Some persons still want those older PowerPC G4 macs, ibooks, powermac, powerbooks, etc. But they won't connect with iPhone, etc.
Hopefully you can get the iPhone 5 to directly get apps and updates without a computer. Not sure if an Apple Store would be able to help you figure out how to go online and upgrade or update, get Apps, etc without a computer. If you have a real Store you could ask. They may have a genius, maybe even some free help?

Computer running really fast - eats up battery

I am having a problem with my mac every Monday - It begins to run very fast and the fan starts running and then what was a full battery (5+ hours) drains to 1 yo 2 hours and the entire computer slows down. Could there be a program set to run at this time every Monday - if so what would it be? It happens at the same time every Monday! Should I just take my computer in to be looked at by the Bar and see if they can figure it out. Also I am getting a whining from the speakers (I assume) everytime I bring the computer out of sleep mode or turn it on. It is a high pitched squeal that is quite annoying - what can I do about this and what is it?

Be sure when you check Activity Monitor to pick all processes so you can be sure to see what all is running.

Time is running too fast

Hi there
I've got an iphone 2g, FW 3.1.3 and a very strange issue:
The clock is running too fast. After one day the time on my phone is 1 hour ahead ( 1hour/each day). When i connect and sync, the time on my phone jumps back to the normal time, the time on my macbook.
I did a total reset (came from version 3.0), but with no luck.
Ive got no option "Set time automatically" in my Firmware version.
I hope somebody has any idea what's going wrong.

Turned out that one of my homes' NLS_LANG had norwegian_norway and the others had american_america. As soon as I changed the norwegian to american, Forms started and I let go a huge sigh of relief :-))

Apple is infamous for being restrictive and controlling.
The iPhone also doesn't connect to faster 4G networks, except the 4S version from AT&T, but whether you'll see noticeably faster speeds will likely be hit or miss. If you own a apple product? I feel for you, it like owning that old beat up rusty car you have to park way out back in the parking lot, and you pray no one see's you getting out of it.
Android phones are like PCs - they are extremely customizable - by carriers, handset makers and owners. Virtual keyboards, phone dialers, wallpaper, home screen widgets and much more can be done.
All told, Android is likely to be the Windows PC equivalent in the smart phone market, and the operating system is well-positioned to soon become the leading smart phone platform in the United States.
In closing, if you like being led around by the hand, go and get yourself one of those iPhones, and then stop crying about what you can not do with it.

1. Check the cycle count of the battery against the rated life for your model. The battery may be due for replacement. If the power adapter is connected almost all the time, the battery may need replacing even though the cycle count is not too high.
2. Follow these instructions, or these for OS X 10.8 or earlier.
3. In the Energy Saver preference pane, uncheck the box marked
Enable Power Nap while on battery power
if it's shown (it may not be.)
4. You can also try resetting the SMC.
5. Make sure your system is up to date in Software Update.
6. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service center.

Why does my battery run out fast?

My battery on my iPhone 4S is always running out fast. I have to charge it multiple times in a day. I delete the running apps, but it still doesnt work.

Maybe because you never put it down.
Maybe because you never allow it to go to sleep.
Maybe because it is constantly checking email.
Possibly because some app is running using location services.
Try a search of the forums for battery issues, you'll find many threads with steps that can be taken to mitigate battery usage.
Depending on what I'm doing... I can easily make it through a full day on a single charge or completely drain the battery in about 6 hrs.

Slightly below the scrubber bar the is a box with either 1/2X. 1X or 2X. Those are the playback speeds. Tap on the box to change/cycle through the speeds.
