My Nokia 710 can't hear through bluetooth

Hi,
I am able to pair my phone with the bluetooth, I can make calls with it, but can't hear or talk through the bluetooth? i have a Motorola roadsters 2. i can connect other phones I have with the buletootch, but not my Nokia 710?

Because you cannot do much right or wrong, sounds like an interoperability issue, a software bug. Either you go for another phone or for another hands-free kit.

  • Unable to fix "Can't hear through the receiver" problem

A previous thread discussed the issue of something causing the receiver (handset) to think that a headset was plugged in. It referred to this article as a solution:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=306910
However, that is not working for me. So I am reposting so that I hopefuly can get an answer.
I last played music through a connection to my Prius's stereo system using an Apple cable for iPhones for that purpose. Now I cannot hear anything on my iPhone (except for phone calls if I select speaker phone). It might work with my earbuds, but I didn't bring them today.
If anyone has seen a different solution that works, I would greatly appreciate it. Also, does anyone know how pervasive this problem is? Maybe a software fix is needed.
    Thanks.

Hopefully this is not the situation for you but I know when I first got my phone the same problem happened to me. The fix.... The clear film over the screen.., covered the speaker for the ear. If it is the situation for you, dont feel bad! Who would of thought that the company would not think about making a hole for the location.

    Hey shahbazfromgbr,
Thanks for the question, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.
I understand you are having issues with sound output on your iPhone 4S. For troubleshooting steps, the following article provides the best information:
iPhone: Can't hear through the receiver or speakers
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1630
    1. Verify that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack, including headsets, headphones, or adapters.
    2. Make sure the Ring/Silent switch is not switched to silent.
    3. While on the Home screen, adjust the volume buttons. If you see the icon below, indicating that headphones are attached, there may be debris or an object lodged in the headset jack:
    4. Check the headset jack. If there is an object lodged in the headset jack that is not easily removed, have the iPhone serviced to remove object.
    5. For Original iPhone: If there is light debris, such as lint, in the headset jack, try connecting a pair of headphones to the headset jack and then remove the headphones. Repeat this several times to remove the debris.
    6. If you have installed a protective film on the display, either ensure that the receiver is not covered or remove the film completely.
    7. Check the receiver mesh (which is on the top front of the device, above the display). If it appears blocked, use a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush to carefully and gently brush away any debris.
    8. If you have paired with a Bluetooth headset that is nearby, either use the headset or turn Bluetooth off (choose Settings > General > Bluetooth).
    9. Restart the iPhone.
    10. If restarting the iPhone doesn't resolve the issue, try restoring the device.
    11. If the issue persists, go to the Service Answer Center - iPhone for information on service.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • When I make a call, I can't hear anything??? HELP - I helps after trying 3 or 4 times, or turning of my phone....

I have also heard about the problem by surfing the web, but what to do ????? /:

I had the same issue the last couple of weeks.  Several recommendations I found that I tried without success:
    * power off and power back on
    * inserting and removing headphones several times
    * checking various settings and switching them off/on (bluetooth, airplane mode, etc.)
I recently upgraded iOS to 4.3.3 (the latest patch to resolve location issues) and I can now hear through the earpiece.
I am skeptical because I also read where someone took it to an Apple store and got it fixed somehow, but then when they sync'ed again, the problem came back.
But, for me, updating iOS somehow fixed the issue.  I'm not sure if this was an issue that was addressed in the update since I think the update was mainly for the location/caching controversy.

  • HT201436 Randomly, people on phone can't hear me and I need to put them on speaker..???

The listener when using my phone is not always able to hear me and I have to put them on speaker. It is random. Also, this may be connected, the voice option to text no longer works . At times when texting and I press the microphone by mistake, it seems that after that, the person to whom I speak to next on the phone, will not be able to hear me ( haven't tested it repeatedly to see if related). Then, maybe the next person on the phone can hear me fine when I speak into phone..???
Pls help :) This stuff intimidates me :)
    Thnx!

    Hey Notatechy5,
Totally understand about being intimidated, but hopefully I can help. I would go through the following troubleshooting steps and see if that resolves the issue:
Verify that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack, including headsets, headphones, or adapters.
While on the Home screen, adjust the volume buttons. If you see the icon below, indicating that headphones are attached, there may be debris or an object lodged in the headset jack:
Check the headset jack. If there is an object lodged in the headset jack that is not easily removed, have the iPhone serviced to remove object.

If you have paired with a Bluetooth headset that is nearby, either use the headset or turn Bluetooth off (choose Settings > General > Bluetooth).

  • IPhone 5S: does anybody has this problem. During a successful voice call all of a sudden people can't hear me while I can hear them

iPhone 5S: does anybody has this problem. During a successful voice call all of a sudden people can't hear me while I can hear them. Signal is strong and call quality (me hearing the other) is still very good but it looks as if I’m going on mute while I’m not muting my iPhone. When dropping the call and re-dialing it works fine again. It’s a brand new iPhone 5S but it now happened already 4 or 5 times in 2 days.
It feels like a hardware/iOS problem and not a network issue. It happend with iOS7.03 but I just see 7.0.4 is available so will install that one now.
    Thanks in advance for feedback
    Best regards,
    Marco

  • The sound on my iPhone 4S isn't working. When headphones are plugged in you can listen to music an watch videos but when you take the headphones out the option to adjust volume goes away and you can't hear music or videos. Any idea how to fix this?

Today I tried listening to music on my iPhone 4S, only to find that my volume adjuster had disappeared. And just to clarify, when I say that it disappeared, I mean that when I press the volume buttons on my phone, I see the speaker icon but the gauge bar is gone. I can't hear music or watch videos
