Hi. My nokia PC suite is always disconnecting when I use Bluetooth.
I recently update the bluetooth software and mow it say's that there's is note a bluettoth software installed. but it is and is working with the phone that I want to use with nokia PC suite.
What can I do to solve this problem?
Regards,
Marco

Hi Marco,
Sorry for the late reply. Don't have access to Internet afterhours for a fortnight. Anyway, back to topic.
A couple of questions: I supposed that PC Suite can only detect your N70, the first time the connection was set up. (Or is it that only the first time after your laptop/PC reboots?)
Can you also try this? On the second attempt to connect:
1. Right click on PC Suite tray icon, select "Synchronise".
2. Click "Select Phone".
3. Click "Connection...". Ensure that bluetooth connection(s) is/are selected. (For my LifeBook, the "Bluetooth (Toshiba)" will go unchecked whenever I turned off the Wireless switch to off.) Click "Close".
4. Click "Refresh". This may take a while, typically under a minute and sometimes a couple of retries.
These are my ritual steps to get bluetooth connection to my N80. ^_^;
Let us know. Cheers.

  • Nokia PC Suite and Passworddragon Software

I am running Windows 7 Pro with the latest updates. I was using Nokia PC Suite v3.8.48 when I got a notice of an available update to v7.1.60.0. I installed that update forgetting that I had a past conflict with a program called passworddragon. Passworddragon utilizes Java and has a conflict with Nokia software. I contacted the makers of Passworddragon and was told to contact Nokia since they are the ones that are changing the registry settings upon installation.
I really don't care who's fault it is. All I know is that I can no longer access my passwords and I need to rectify the problem fast. Using the system restore did not resolve the issue so that option is off the table.
Please...Please...Please, can someone assist me in resolving this issue?
    Thanks
    Michael

Bit confusing .. v3.8.48 is for the Nokia Suite whereas v7.1.60.0 ( If I remember it correct, this too is an earlier version) is for the Nokia PC Suite. Surprising that you got Update notification for Nokia PC Suite while using Nokia Suite.
BTW, were you able to use passworddragon with Nokia Suite (v3.8.48) ? If yes, un-install Nokia PC Suite that you might have installed and if required re-install the Nokia Suite and see if the problem gets resolved..

    - Reboot the computer and delete the download and try again. The update file is located here:
IPSW file location for Mac and Windows
    - Next would be to :
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
    or
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
    and then try again.

  • Downloading Music via nokia pc suite

Hi all... hope someone can maybe help... yesterday i got a brand new Nokia 6300 and everything is fine with it except i can't get my music off my pc and onto the phone...
I've downloaded the Nokia pc suite and but then when i try and connect my phone via a usb port it won't recognsise it and i've spent the last few hours racking my brain trying to get it to work but without any success........
anyone able to help me out there ???
    thanks Mark

if you cant access thru "pc suite" mode..try "mass storage" mode...your memory card should be accessible from there...you just need to copy paste the file from pc to your mobile phone's memory card..it doesnt matter which folder you place it..but much better if you can copy it and paste it in the "music" folder where the other audio files were saved...hope this will help you...good luck....

  • Nokia Ovi Suite 3.1.1.90 hanging on "Signing In" w...

    Hi,
I have been trying to get the latest Software Update for my E7 for about 6 weeks. I log in to Nokia Ovi Suite successfully and then when I go to get the latest update it asks me to sign in again, which I do and then it hangs there showing "Signing In". I have left this over night and come down the next morning to see the same thing. It is obviously starting to really p*** me off. What actually makes it even more annoying is that I have to come to a forum to try to resolve the problem as I can't find a contact for Nokia.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

There can sometimes be issues in downloading the phone sw but if your problem has gone on for several weeks, it's then something else. There may be something wrong in your Ovi Suite installation and you could try to fix it by running the uninstall command and selecting the repair option during uninstall. Check also that the internet connectivity is working OK on your PC and that you can connect to your Nokia account when prompted by Ovi Suite.
If the problem persists, you could try upgrading to the latest Nokia Suite beta version which can be found at Nokia Betalabs:
    http://betalabs.nokia.com/apps/nokia-suite-beta?req=true
It's worth checking also if the over-the-air update for your phone becomes available sometimes later on in Applications > SW Update menu. The OTA packages don't necessarily become available at the same time with the PC updates.

    Hi...
I had the same problem and I resolved it doing this:
With 7zip I unzipped the PC Suite.exe file, into the new folder (with the name”PC Suite”) I found and installed the PCCS.exe and after that I installed the PC Suite.exe that was into the “PC Suite” folder...
    Voilá..
I hope that my English was good enough to help you…
ps: I found somewhere that we have to install in order VC80_x86, CCD, PCCS and Nokia_PC_Suite files...For my part I don't have any problems with only PCCS and PC Suite.

  • When Nokia PC suite is released to Linux-family op...

People are started to replace old Windows XP systems to new operating system (or planned to install near future) because everyone is telling that Windows Vista didn't work well even on new preinstalled system. Most of people I know are replaced their OS to Ubuntu system.
I don't want to by a new computer to get OSX, so when the Nokia PC suite Linux-family version is released? This XP is very rotten and I don't want to wait to next spring or something. I really like to know planned release dates or do I have to change my phone instead?!? Room mate says that Sony-Ericsson works already directly without any extra software installation on his Ubuntu

"Don't hold your breath. People have been asking for linux support for years."
OK. I hope some Nokia people read this soon if they want to keep customers. It is cheaper to switch mobile phone than computer

    - On application crash, you'll see the dialog asking whether you want to Debug or Close. Don't do either. Closing the dialog  destroys the dump file before you have a chance to copy it.

    - Find the minidump file (probably C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Temp\???.DMP) . If there are multiple .DMP files, check the modification time the find the one that was created at the same time the application crashed.
    - Start Task Manager and kill process "dwwin.exe", the dump file is locked by this process.
-The dump file can now be copied.
    Windows Vista and Windows 7
    - On application crash, you'll see the dialog suggesting "Check online for a solution and close the program" AND "close the

    - Find NokiaOviSuite.exe from the processes list in TaskManager.
    - Right click NokiaOviSuite.exe and select Create Dump File.

    Hi 'baltwo'
Thank you for your link, I already had been on this particular website this afternoon. they only discuss problems in the application and nothing about how the MS Office application installation does disturb Mac OS.
Or have I missed a special comment there?

  • 6280, 6230 and Nokia PC Suite - no calendat sync

I am using version 6.81.13.0 of PC Suite on a late-model Dell 9300 notebook. I connect using a Nokia CA-53 USB cable supplied with my 6280 phone. The PC is running Windows XP Professional SP2 with all available Microsoft patches.
Until recently, I was using a Nokia 6230 phone and an older version of PC Suite. The calendar was sent from the PC to the phone with no problem at all, and I could always refer to my phone to check my calendar. This connection used Bluetooth.
When my new 6280 arrived, I loaded the PC Suite software from the 6280 CD. The software immediately demanded an update from the Nokia website, which I downloaded and installed. After a couple of successful bluetooth connections, suddenly neither phone would sync with Outlook.
Very soon after that, no Bluetooth connection would work at all, and I resorted to the USB cable. With the USB cable, the phones communicate with the Sync software, but no data is sent to either phone. I have removed the software, used the Nokia PC Suite Cleaner, reinstalled, created new profiles and tried every single option, but the system simply will not sync.
Can anyone help? By upgrading my phone, I have lost my sync facility altogether.
Here's the system info from PC Suite:
    Operating system:
    Microsoft Windows XP
    Build 2600
    Service Pack 2
    Language: English (United States)
Language for non-Unicode programs: English (United States)
    Locale: English (United Kingdom)
    Input language: English (United Kingdom)
    Nokia PC Suite:
    Version 6.81.13.0
    Language: English
    Connectivity Cable Drivers:
    Version 6.81.1.2
    Microsoft Outlook:
    Version 11.0
    Build 8010
    Bluetooth stacks:
    Microsoft Bluetooth stack
    Version 5.1.2600.2180
    WIDCOMM Bluetooth stack
    Version 4.0.1
    Build 2401

The difficulties people with XP SP 2 (with Microsoft Bluetooth) and any other Bluetooth(like Widcomm) are having, is really sad.
YOu can try to run arepair to PC Suite and Nokia Connecitivty solution from add/remove programs and see if that helps.
Also check that is the Bluetooth software you are using (I cannot tell by looking at your list), is working with the phone.
    Last resort:
I can only suggest that you start from scrach, uninstall the widcomm, Pc Suite and Connectivity solution, run Pc suite cleaner and reinstall PC Suite(includes the connectivity solution).

  • E71 - Nokia PC Suite - does not connect ? unable t...

I installed Nokia PC Suite (v7.1) on my PC's:
    Connected Nokia E71 with USB-cable
(Mass Storage > Via Windows Explorer  I can see the directories on the memory card of the E71)
Problem-1: Nokia PC Suite gives error: "unable to find device"
(while phone is unlocked, USB mode is not applicable)
Problem-2:  Also Nokia Software Updater does not work (cannot find device)
Happens both on XP and Vista PC.
In other words... I can't access my E71 at all. Who knows a solution ?

Hi, i just ran into the same problem with the "Device Not Found" I will give the steps for what fixed  my problem.
Connect the phone to your computer via data cable. Select "Connect Pc to Web". Then, inside the folders run the installer.exe** and select Repair instead of Uninstall. Now your device should work like a charm.
**If the installer.exe interrupts you saying that the version installed on the computer is newer than what you are trying to install and exits itself, you will have to go to control panel to uninstall Nokia Pc Suite and reinstall it with the phone you plan on using so it will be the correct version. Even after you reinstall Nokia Pc Suite you may have to run the installer.exe a second time and select repair before it will work. I did anyways.
I hope this fixes your problems you are having. Also the reason it is hard to get tech support for stuff like this is because when you can connect your mobile internet to the pc you can use a lot of data because you have more access to things. Eventhough you may have an unlimited data plan most if not all companies will ban your phone possibly without notice if you use more data then they want you too. Also tethering, which is what we are all trying to do. Is illegal for most if not all phone companies. Always best to read the Terms and Conditions.
As far as the USB not beeping when connecting the cable. I didn't hear mine either but it worked but if yours isn't working try this: Start -> Right-Click Computer -> Properties -> Device Manager-> Check all USB devices to  make sure they are working properly and you may need to reinstall them.
Please reply to let me know if anything worked. If it did please check solution button to allow other people to find my post. Thanks for any replys to my post.

During update search on my N8, software found is 014.002.  Half way during installation of .022.014, the Nokia ovi suite gets disconnected from my N8. The message on screen is Device Recovery - Nokia las lost its connection with your device. Then suggests following steps: 1. Remove battery, charger, USB cable, from your device. 2. Reinstall the USB cable, then battery, & finally the charger. 3. Press device power button for 1sec. 4. Click retry to continue. I have tried everything but no success. I also have Nokia bubbles installed on my Nokia 8.

    LOL
I just tried Nokia Ovi Suite again to copy the full error report that it sends to Microsoft.... lo and behold it started to work again?????
    ======================================================
This I did before I tried
    ======================================================
Then I installed Nokia PC Suite 7.1.40.1 which worked just fine with 5800 XM (RM-356 V. 51.0.006). I had no problems making backups or to synchronize with Nokia PC Suite.
Made a complete backup on my phone.
Installed Nokia Software Updater and I reinstall the latest FW 51.0.006 to my phone.
Then I organized my content for a few minutes.
Shut down Nokia PC Suite and Nokia Software Updater.
    Started up Nokia Ovi Suite.
Connected my phone and clicked on PC-Suite on the options.
    It now works again????
Something happened when I installed PC Suite that enabled me to use my Nokia 5800 with Ovi Suite again.

  • Nokia PC Suite not detecting my N79 via USB.

    Hello!
Got my N79 yesterday and having a bit of a problem with getting the Nokia PC Suite finding it. The program tells me to plug in the phone and when i do this nothing happens. I'm connecting via USB with a CA-101 cable.
Have tried reinstalling the Pc Suite a couple of time and same with the USB connectivity drivers.
I'm using XP Pro x64 SP2 on my PC and the Nokie PC Suite version is 7.1.26.0.
    Any solutions?
    Regards
    Erik

Is the settings in your N79 for the data cable set to "PC Suite Mode" or "Always Ask on Connection"?
Did you try a different PC?
Is the phone getting detected as a removable drive when you connect it in Mass storage mode?
    Cheers,
