My Note 4 is slow to download apps, sometimes won't at all.

Since I bought my Note 4, it has been slow to download apps... usually it is so slow it won't finish at all. I usually show 4G and three or four bars. When at home and connected to my wireless router, there is no difference. In fact, sometimes it's slower. If I persist, sometimes hours later it will say it's downloaded and then install it. I bought my Note 4 before Lollipop, and it's been the same before and after. The preferred network mode is set to global.
All other features seem to work fine. I don't have any problems with the phone.
Any suggestions?

chuckwilmot, that does seem to be a little odd! I want to make sure that we are able to speed things up today. Since you have received the Note 4 have you been able to power off the phone all the way, remove the sim card for a good 10-15 seconds. Once that is completed then place the phone back together and try to re-download some applications to see if you have faster speeds. Please keep us posted.

Remember, any purchased item from the itunes store is forever associated with the Apple ID used to buy it. So when you get prompted for an ID/password and it doesn't accept it, then you are using the wrong ID.
Go to Settings>iTunes and App Stores, be sure it's logged into the ID you have set on the iphone (since that one seems to be connecting with the right ID). If you've done this, then you might wait a bit to see if the "cannot connect to .. store" message has to do with internet connections.

What happens when you try.
Apps are tied to the apple id that was used to purchase it, so you can't use your new Apple id to update the app, you will need to use the old one.

You will need to say what is happening. Is it crashing, is it giving you a message or it it stuck with waiting on the app or something else.

Other is usually around 1 GB...
A ' Large Other ' usually indicates Corrupt Data...
First Try a Restore from Backup... But... if the Large Other Persists, that is an Indicator of Corrupt Data in the Backup... Then a Restore as New is the way to go...

I had a free trial at one point, just purchased Creative Cloud, but it won't let me download or drag and drop, it just says I'm up to date, even though I no longer have these apps on my computer. What do I do?

OK. I am going to guess that you dragged the applications to the Trash. This does not work for uninstalling Adobe applications. Please go to Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers and use the links there to uninstall the applications. You should then be able to install them again using the Adobe Application Manager.

Removing IOS 5 and reverting to ios 4 (iphone 4) - as it will not allow me to download apps or stream music on radio apps.

i updated to ios 5 today on my iphone 4 much to my dismay it cant stream radio apps i paid for anymore because it somehow HOGS the internet, but yet when i tried to play one of the multiplayer adventure games it is fine. i dont know if its an INDIVIDUAL app issue whereby i have to enable or disable something or something within the settings to do with the itnernet i need to change?
i cant even download apps on my iphone either it gives an error reading something along the lines of my internet; i connect at home with wifi and successfully stream music radio apps through my home speaker system; or i did do so before updating to this TRASH!. so i'm sure you can understand why i now ask to remove ios5 otherwise there is no point in me keeping the iphone, i have one year left on my mobile contract with orange to pay for.
i need to perform a downgrade, i have ONE back up from july which would be the ios4 version if i restore it using this back up file in itunes, would it definately remove the ios 5 and put the ios4 backon my iphone ?

You can NOT downgrade iOS.
That said, millions people have updated to iOS 5 without experiencing the problems you report. Why don't you try some basic troubleshooting before you resort to drastic measures.
Restoring from your backup will NOT revert the phone to iOS 4.
First, try to reset all settings. This will re-set the network settings and clear any personalization (wallpaper, custom assigned ringtones, etc.) but you will not lose any data.
Then, try a simple re-set. If that doesn't work, try restoring from your last backup. If that doesn't work, Erase all content and settings and set it up as a new device. It's possible one or more of the apps you are trying to use

Not being able to download App in App Store

Hi, I am not being able to download any application via the App store. I get the error "The network connection could not be made". I tried to download using different sign-in accounts even then faced the same issue. I also tried to use iPhone for app download, there I face "Unable to download application" error. Kindly help.

Ipod touch prompting me for security information required then asking me to fill in 3 questions and answers but will bump me out of it and will not allow me to download app, help

Jusat the other day i started getting prompted for Security Information required when trying to download apps. on my Ipodtouvh 4Gen. Typically when I download an app. I get asked for my apple ID and then it will allow the download. This new prompt pops up after it looks like the app is downloading. It gives me the option to cancel which will not allow the download or I have to select Security information. It then brings me to a screen where it asked for three questions but as I put the questions and answers in it bumps me back to the screen of the app I was trying to doenload. Any clues???

this has recently been happening to other people. We think that it is a fault at apples end of the line. However in the cases i have seen the problem fixes itself and it goes back to normal after a day or 2 you just have to wait!

It's not a matter of changing the country. The issue is your credit or debit card credentials must be associated with the same country where you reside.
"Although you can browse the iTunes Store in any country without being signed in, you can only purchase content from the iTunes Store for your own country. This is enforced via the billing address associated with your credit card or other payment method that you use with the iTunes Store, rather than your actual geographic location."

You can change the country by clicking the round flag icon bottom right side of the App Store window.

Downloaded OM4.5 OTA but its not showing on the downloads/apps folder

The OM on BB world is the latest 7 version and i hate it cause it crashes and its slow. I vistited operamini.com and downloaded their officlal old versions for blackberry. when the download is finished, I click RUN and its ok.
problem is, the icon is not showing anywhere! So i cant run it again after exiting the app. I mean i cant just run the OM on the background at all times!

Start iTunes and plug in your iPod. Click on Device and you will see a Summary page in iTunes. Look at the far right tab - Applications. You need to tell iTunes to sync your applications.
You should also have a folder in your Library marked Applications.

Slow speed downloading apps

Anyone else having trouble downloading applications to their iphone? I have tried many times in the last few days to download facebook (after wiping in error) with no luck.

I was having the same problem on my 5th gen iPod Touch... Changing my DNS server seems to have fixed this issue for me:
To do this, go into your iPod's Settings->Wi-Fi then click on your active wifi hotspot's blue arrow icon. Find "DNS" and after noting the address found there (in case you prefer to revert back to it later), click on it and substitute one of Googles two Public DNS addresses (you can use either 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4). This fixed it immediately for me.
You can download Cisco's app "Gist" (from AppStore) to measure your Wi-Fi throughput before and after. I went from 365 kbps to a respectable 7900 kbps after making the change.
If it doesn't seem to work immediately after applying the fix, try using Safari & surfing somewhere after changing the DNS addr. (I went to Google.com then to "Images" using the link found there, then tried the Gist app again). This was only necessary once in several tests.
Anyway, I was able to reliably recreate the problem by reverting back to my old DNS settings where I found myself again at 365 kbps. Google's DNS address brought me back to 7900 each time. Hope this helps.... - e
