My notebook whenever starts it opens recovery manager to recover system daily.

sir/madam
whenever i start my pavilion g4 1200tx windows 7 home basic 64 bit ,system startup repair starts to repair  my system but it fails to repair it and opens recovery manager to recover my system daily.so tell me what i can do.????

Hello BRADS_COMPAQ-_-. Are you using the HP recovery manager to perform the reinstall of Windows? Take a look at these instructions to find out. If this is what you've tried to solve the issue the recovery partition may have been infected by the malicious program. It is uncommon but possible. However, that seems like a lot of money to solve this problem; I would like to offer a different solution. I think you should order a set of recovery discs from HP. The cost is minimal (and they're a good item to have in the case of hard drive failure). Using these discs you can re-create the entire factory image onto the hard drive which will also "re-install" the recovery partition. This means the corrupted recovery partition would be fixed.
Customers in the US/Canada would call 1-800-474-6836.  It seems, however, that you are in the U.K. so I think this is the contact information for your area.
I hope this is helpful; have a great week!

  • What command to use in command prompt inside HP Recovery Manager to recover hard drive?

    Hi,
I'm trying to use HP's Recovery Manager to restore my hard drive to the original factory settings. When going into Recovery Manager via "F11" during computer startup, all of the options are greyed out except, "Run Computer Checkup." Inside that option, all options are greyed-out except, "Open a command prompt."
Once I open a command prompt, the window title is "Administrator: X:\Windows\system32\Cmd.exe" and the command line in the window is "X:\Windows\RM\>"
I have no idea what command to enter here to recover the hard drive! What command should I use???
Why are all the normal options in Recovery Manager greyed out?
Background: I dropped my laptop and afterwards the computer will power on but not boot up from the hard drive - it says there is a hard drive error. I have been able to recover most/many files from the harddrive by taking it out and connecting it to another computer and using a recovery software program. I am not sure if the hard drive is physically/irreparably damaged, but it does spin and I have recovered many files from it. Now ready to recover it back to original state and then reload my recovered files.
Computer: HP Pavilion DM3-1030us purchased in January 2010
    OS: Windows 7
Thanks for any suggestions anyone can offer!

There isn't a command that I am aware of to use at the command prompt that will recover your computer. If you dropped your computer, it is likely that the hard drive suffered physical damage. Please see HP Notebook PCs - Testing for Hardware Failures (Windows 7, Vista) for instructions on testing the hard drive. It is also possible that the HP Recovery partition was damaged and you may need to use the HP Recovery Media you created when you first setup your computer
If you didn't create this media, please contact official HP Customer Support in your region / country, via the HP Worldwide Support Portal, to see if HP Recovery Media is available for your computer. Software may not be covered by the warranty and there may be a charge for the HP Recovery Media.

Thanks for your help. I had tried starting Firefox in safe-mode before I posted this request, but it did not work. I tried to restore the system to an earlier version, but that made everything worse. Two accounts were unusable and one sort of worked, so I reloaded the operating system and now firefox works, for how long, I don't know. But thanks again for your suggestion.

  • Recovery manager does not show up

Hi, I have a HP Pavilion dv6000 CTO Notebook PC with Windows 7 professional.
I want to reinstall the operating system and to return the pc to its original condition. If I am well informed I think I should do this through recovery manager. However, when I restart the computer and I press f11 nothing happens at all. Also, I cannot find recovery manger anywhere in the computer. How can I open recovery manager? Is there any other way in which I can perform a system recovery? Thanks.

    Hi @Meri01
Welcome to the HP Support Community! I saw your post regarding wanting to a recovery back to factory defaults. The reason you can't find the HP Recovery Manager is because you are no longer using the original operating system that came with the notebook. It would have been Vista or XP.
You might be able to order a set of recovery CDs put it would be for Windows Vista or XP and if you do the recovery you will lose Windows 7. To do that you can contact HP Total Care at 1-800-474-6836 in North America or start here if you live outside of North America.
Your best bet would be to back up your files and reinstall the operating system using the CDs you used to install Windows 7 Professional in the first place.

  • Exch rate diff account for open item management recently checked accounts

    Hi all,
I have recently activated open item management for certain gl accounts.
i post only local currency transactions in that gl and gl account ,aster data is also in compnay code currency.
So no foreign currency is involved here.
But when i try to clear line items for those gl accounts , system is showing an error and asking me to maintain exchange rate diff accounts in OBA1 (KDF).
But i dodnot understand why i need to maintain foreign currency diff accounts when there is no foreign currency involved.
When i post any new entry after open item management is activated, system allows me to clear these line items without any error.
So i think the problem is only with line items where open item management activated recently,
Could any one help in this.
    Thank you,
    Siva Kumar D

    Hi
May be this is because of the additional currencies define for that particular company code, if any difference in the exchange rate at the time of clearing system looks for the difference in ex.rate account. In this case, you have to maintain the GL in OBA1 (KDF)

  • Activate open item management in GL

    hi experts,
can any body help me to change the GL master data, I want to activate the open item management in gl master but system does not allow me to do that bcs there is some transactional data.
how to active open item in that particular gl.
    help me
    Thanks & Regards
    Suresh

    hi,
system never allow you to change the master data, if there is any transaction data. if you want to make that gl as a open Item management, unless the balance is 0
    1) first you have to make the gl as a 0 balance... so you have to reverse all the transactions. then the gl would be 0 balance... using fb08.
    2) then change the gl master data as a open item management.. now system allows you to do..
    3) then re-reverse the reversed documents....
I think it will be useful to you..
assign points if it is useful...
    regards.

  • HP Recovery Manager only shows a black screen when opened on dv6t

I just recently got a HP Pavilion dv6t-6c00 notebook and I tried to create my set of recovery discs, which I've already been having trouble with because I don't have the right brand of DVDs. I still haven't completed the process of making all 5 recovery discs. When I try to open the HP Recovery Manager to continue the process, it opens but only a black screen comes up that says "Welcome to HP Recovery Manager. Use this tool to get your computer back up and running if it ever stops running as usual." It won't let continue making the recovery discs, or do anything for that matter. I've tried running in safe mode and starting the program, but the same thing happens.

Hello msorr21. Before I can thoroughly assist you, I need to ask a few questions:

  • Recovery manager won't start for clean reinstall of Windows 7

I have an HP Pavilion Elite HPE-110f that is 4 years old.  Everything was fine until a couple of weeks ago started getting RAID messages on startup and other little qwerky things.  Then last week the dreaded BSOD showed up.  I shut down the computer and tried to restart, but got error messages that the computer couldn't start.  I then tried everything I could think of - startup repair, tried to boot in safe mode, recovery from partitioned drive, system restore - nothing worked.  I have the recovery media from HP but was saving that as my final option.  I tried to do a clean reinstall today from the discs, but now the recovery manager won't even come up.  Can somebody PLEASE help me get my OS back?

No, it wasn't an error message.  It was just notifications about different things being accessed on port1.  I just assumed it was startup items loading, but I had never gotten notifications about them before.  I just tried again to reinstall from recovery discs.  Pressed esc and got the boot menu, selected the dvd drive and you can hear it running, then it slows down to nothing and I get no recovery manager opening.  I turned off the computer again and pressed f9 when I turned it on.  Diagnostic show processor and memory are fine, but I get an error code of "BIOHD-8" on the hard drive.  Any suggestions?

  • 0xc000025 - Trying Recovery System via Recovery Manager: Windows failed to start.

    Name: Pavilion dv4-2161nr
    Prod. Number: WA691UA#ABA
    Windows 7  64-bit
I splitted original Hard Disk Partition in three partitions.  I formatted those two not containing O.S.  Now I want to format the partition containing the O.S.
      1)  If I choose "Recovery System", will it format all three partitions?  Or will it format the partition I choose to?
      2)  I tryed "Recovery System", but it failed.  What can I do?
2.1)  I made Recovery DVDs when first used the PC.  It loads but it never runs.  It's like theres no AutoRun, and there's no ".exe" to execute when I open the first DVD Recovery via Windows Explorer.  What am I missing?
2.2)  I tryed Recovery System via Recovery Manager.  System shuts down and starts reiniciating but it gives the following message "Windows Boot Manger: Windows failed to start.  A recent hardware of software change might be the problem.  Status: 0xc000025.  The boot selection failed because a required device is inacessible".  What can I do?
         Regards,
         Rafael.

I tested the Hard Drive and it passed 100% ok.
I tested the Memory and it passed 100% ok.
My PC runs a Win 7 Home Premium.
I've just run a Win 7 Ultimate CD Installation.  It formatted the System Partition, but I couldn't get Win 7 installed because when I filled in my Product Key it said the Product Key wasn't right.  Is it because Product Key for Win 7 Home Premium wouldn't work on a Win 7 Ultimate installation?
I hoped the Hard Drive would be ok after it had been formatted while I tryed Win 7 Ultimate installation.  So I tryed once again to boot with HP Recovery Disc.  It stopped at 23% once again.  Until 23% there are all noises that get me thinking PC is running ok.  When it get up to 23% all noises just stop.
    Any ideias?
    And thanks once again.
    Rafael.

  • Can not find recovery manager and have no disks to even start.

Ever since I got my laptop fixed I have been having a lot of problems My system was windows 7 and is now windows 8.
First it will not let me complete an update and on the screen it says it is reverting files.
Second when I first start up my computor it will not start up it does not do anything I even waited 1 hour today to see
if it would. and it still did not I turned it off and restarted it to get it to come on. I also even waited almost three hours to try and install updates, and the same error message that I talked about earlier appears, but before that message it had a message saying that it would be two days to complete the install the updates is this even right.
The last thing that I tryed to do well I watched on you tube how to do a system recovery, but I need the disks that I do not have so after watching the video I was very disapointed to find out that I do not even have a recovery manager so this computer is just giving me a whole bunch of problems, and I would hate to send it back yet again, because of this.
I am looking for another job right now and want to get busy and get my resume together and job applications together, because in about 4 days I go back to work and the job that I have now I do not get much time to do anything. So please help and I would like to do it all on line if posible. Thank you.

    You have contradictions here.
The specs indicate that the computer came with Windows 8 installed, did you downgrade to Windows 7.  If you did the recovery partition is certainly gone.  Now you say you have Windows 8, how did you get it installed.
What update are you talking about, is it just one or many?
You say, " and the same error message that I talked about earlier appears, but before that message it had a message saying that it would be two days to complete the install the updates is this even right."  Where did you get that message from, no way will it take two days to install an update.
If you desire recovery disks and If you live in the USA/Canada, call HP at this number 1-800-334-5144, and see if you can still get a set of recovery disks.

  • HP Pavilion g6-2101tu Notebook PC ,After BOIS update, Is HP Recovery Manager option available?

    Hi,
I have recently installed BIOS and other drivers update through HP support assistent for the first time. During the installation a drive partition has been created with the name "HP_TOOL drive:f ".
I need your guidance for the recovery of system in the future and want to know about such partition which has been created automatically during update.
Eariler i have once recovered my system using tool which was provided by HP RECOVERY MANAGER through "esc + f11" keys. Hp recommands that we should not make any partition of drive in order to recover your system. if we make partition, we may lose system recovery through HP RECOVERY MANAGER.
I had 2 partition (Drive :c and Drive :d)of the drive by default from the begining when i have purchase my notebook but Now I have 3 (Drive: c,d,f).
Drive; c has system file while Drive: d has recovery and Drive: f contains HP_tool files.
"Please note thatI have not manually created any aprtition of drive till now."
    My problems are as follows--
    1. Is drive: f is a real partition of drive ?
    2. Can i able to recover my system using my BIOS setting i.e esc + f11 key through HP RECOVERY MANAGER?
    3. If i recover my system using HP RECOVERY MANAGER in future, i will have to download BIOS and drivers update again or what?
4:  suggest me what should i do after BIOS update and with Drive:f to recover my system in the future?
My System details are as follows--
     HP Pavilion g6-2101tu Notebook PC,
    Product no. B6U26PA#ACJ
    RAM - 2GB
Hard disk drive - 500 GB
Opreating System - Windows 7- 64 Bit Home Basic
    Partition Drive :d - recovery.
Please give me a best response.,,,,,,,,,, Thanks

Yes, before Windows logo. At the first screen after powering on the machine tap Esc to bring up the Menu- same screen where you use Esc + F11 for Recovery.
