My Notes for 2013 just suddenly disappeared from my iPhone 5
NOTES app: All my notes entered for 2013 have disappeared from my iPhone 5 & my iPad 2. What happened? Can they be retrieved?
There is no way to retrieve something if it doesn't exist somewhere. But from the way that you describe this situation, maybe it is just a fluke kind to thing with iCloud. I assume that's how you keep your notes in sync if the same thing happened on both devices. Before you start trying iCloud fixes, try this.
This is a stab in the dark, Close the notes app and reboot your iPad. See if the missing notes reappear.
Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the Notes app then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

To double check it wasn't misplaced do a Spotlight search for a few tracks you know exist. Spotlight will usually find them even if the files have obscure names.
If you really, really can't find any of this anywhere then it is possible it is all gone. Normally an update or doing anything with iTunes should not do this, but once or twice a week out of millions of iTunes users we see somebody who has lost a library. In that case you have to restore it from your computer's backup. If you don't have one (why not?) you have to rebuild the library from the sources. You can re-download most media you have purchased from Apple from the Store (not all though). -

It is not possible to delete Safari, it may have moved to a different screen. Do a search for the app or you can click on your settings>general>reset then select reset home screen layout.

Yahoo's servers are notoriously bad. Yahoo will have to fix the problem. It's not an Apple problem, or an AT&T problem (except for the fact that AT&T chose to contract their email service out to one of the worst providers on the planet).
Try downloading and using the Yahoo mail app from the app store. -
Yahoo mail has suddenly disappeared from my iPhone 5 inbox
I've had Yahoo email on my AT&t iPhone 5 for a year. Yesterday, with no action on my part, and no changes to the settings on my iPhone, all my Yahoo emails disappeared from my iPhone inbox, and no new emails sent to my Yahoo email address are appearing there. The Gmail inbox on my phone is fine. I can access my Yahoo mail on a browser, but not on in my iPhone inbox. I have reset network settings, deleted my Yahoo mail account, re-booted the iPhone, and re-added the Yahoo account. Nothing helps. I have no idea if the problem resides with Apple, Yahoo, or AT&T. Has anyone had the same problem? What can I do?

FaceTime icon suddenly disappears from my iPhone 4S

I have seen few similar posts on the Apple Support community about the same issue and have tried most of the solutions but none of them seem to address the nature of the problem that I have. The iTunes app has suddenly disappeared from my iPhone 5s on 7.0.2
The iTunes Store app has mysteriously vanished from my iPhone 5s running 7.0.2. It was literally there one minute and gone the next: I checked the phone, locked it, then had to check something else and when I unlocked the icon was missing.
So far I have tried:
A full system search - the app does not appear in the universal search list.
Tried getting Siri to launch it - Siri replies that it cannot find an app called iTunes.
Checked restrictions in the general settings - restrictions are off.
Done a full wipe and restore from a backup prior to the app going missing - iTunes app still not present.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!Well, just to tie this one up I'll say that the problem resolved itself. About three weeks after posting this question the iTunes app mysteriously reappeared. I did not do anything to try and get it back and the phone had not updated any software for a while. I have no idea why it disappeared or why it reappeared but there we go; maybe it fancied a holiday?

I had previosly set up a number of IMAP e mail account in addiiton under my .mac and .me account which is my personal account.
On the mail home page it had the inbox listing thee accounts and further down the page its used to list the on line accounts set up under I cloud using the same name as the .mac or .me accounts, but also included the i cloud icon as does my ipad. Logged onto day and the i cloud icon had dissappeared? not sure why it is still functioning and I still have all my icloud accounts set up but the icon is no longer present.
Maybe just a bit anal but it bugs me to know why this icon has suddenly dissappeared?Hello,
Do you use these settings in Mail for your Gmail account (especially for the SMTP) ?
If you use IMAP and all your emails are still stored on the server you can delete your account in Mail and recreate it with the settings mentionned above.

My iPhone suddenly lost all contacts this afternoon. Hadnt even been using it. When I tried to Back it up and resync on the computer it wanted to update after installing the update to the computer it crashed the phone. Now I have no assess to the phone. It has gone to the original setting that tells you to connect to iTunes. iTunes does not recognize the phone any longer.

i cant restore my contacts from computer or icloud ?they disappear when i restore

I contacted Apple & did as below as advised & I got my contacts back.
Before I started I made sure that I had a Icloud backup for my IPhone ( which was before the problem started ).[ Settings > ICloud > Backup. ]
IPhone reset - by 'Erase all contents & settings...
after the phone starts, choose to restore from Icloud backup.. & choose the Backup you think is without the issue.
VERY IMPORTANT.. Once the phone restores from the backup & the Home screen comes, put the phone in Airplane mode Immediately.
Now go to settings > Icloud > put the contacts OFF. ( Keep the contacts )
Now OFF the Airplane mode & go to settings > Icloud > put the contacts ON & select Merge.
I got all my contacts back which was there until that Backup.

Why did a whole bunch of apps disappear from my iPhone!?
A great many apps, a number which I cannot guess, have suddenly disappeared from my iPhone upon sync with the new iTunes 9. After this sync, I installed iPhoneOS 3.1 and sync'd again. The apps are simply gone. They're not in my trash bin. They're not in my Home Directory. They are still in my Home Directory under ~/Music/iTunesLibrary/Mobile Applications
Why have they disappeared from my iTunes Library? Why did I see a message stating they were being removed from my iPhone? What gives? Some of my most used applications were simply removed without my permission.
What happened to the Apple Macintosh "It Just Works" slogan? Apple's software of late has not done what I want, and tries to think on its own. Stop that! Do what I say. When I click, you jump. When I don't click, don't jump.I just experienced this same **** problem! I synced my iphone with my computer (like normal), i noticed it was taking a while to sync so I canceled it only to find that ALL OF MY APPS ARE GONE! I'm glad i stopped it because it started to delete my music. and even the folder that I had associated with my itunes library is not showing up in itunes. It surely is an itunes problem, not an iphone problem. I am aware that I can re-download them one by one for free but I want them all back with out hours of doing that! they are even gone from my applications file in iTunes. I'm with you in that apple really has abandoned that whole, "it just works". because it does not "just work". They try to use itunes to lock down their **** but it just turns out to be a pain. I want to know of a place in my account that I can simply go to download all my apps at once?! apple can be so smart sometimes, but so stupid other times and very user unfriendly with regards to the iphone. thumbs down apple.

My iPhoto library has suddenly disappeared from my computer.
When i click on iPhoto it tells me to choose my library or create a new one. However no library option appears. I have searched the computer for the library but it does not seem to exist anymore. I did not have time machine set up, so there is no back up. Is there any way i can retrieve my library?

Search for any file with "ThumbJPGSegment" in the name. If you added at least one image to your library, the library should contain a file with this name, see OldToad's post: Re: Since I updated to iPhoto 9.5.1, my library is not listed or available. All of my calendar history older than 30 days has disappeared from my iphone 4S. I did not perform a sync with my computer-it literally just disappeared! Is there any way to get it back?
Unfortunatly for me I did not, do you think there might be any other way? Maybe by accesing it directly through direct USB contact and not through iTunes?

I can't tell you why the contacts disappear but you can get them back without much hassle by syncing through iTunes with your computer.
do you regularly make backups? if so, you can restore your iPhone using the backups and get your contacts back in your iPhone.
It is strange that half of your contacts are gone over and over again. Do you have Groups that are unchecked in your iPhone? If so, the contacts in those groups will not appear in your contacts list but they are in your iPhone and be recovered by re-checking the group name. -

I was just at the Genius Bar in Chicago and they said, don't worry about it. It just floats out there, however, I can not recover my messages on a flash drive. I need to go back to my old computer which I don't have with me. My messages were in folders for a lawsuit. It is going to take an incredible amount of work for me to, you have no Idea. We are talking thousands of pages! I the defendent will have them during discovery so I am not so worried. However, I can not bring them to him on a Flashdrive when I meet with him without an extraordinary amount of presssure on my part. THis is not just some little email issue.
