My notes won't update

Is there any way to get my notes to update? I keep my grocery list on my Mac at home, but want to read it on my iPhone. My note is on my iPhone, but it doesn't update when I change it on my home computer.

OK, so I had my notes in a non-IMAP account, but I've moved them to my mobile me account, which is an IMAP account. My Notes show up in my in box on my Mac, but not in my in box on my iPhone.
Wait. I see them in the Notes section under my email account! I was looking for them in either the in box or the main notes section on my iPhone.
Another related issue. When I complete a To Do item in my IMAP account, it does not disappear from the Apple To Do on my iPhone.

    I have a tonne of notes on my iphone 4S that aren't showing up in my notes on my 2012 macbook pro. I can't seem to figure out why though. The window keeps saying Updating but nothing shows up but the new notes I type out in the program.
    I've tried shutting both devices off, messing around with Icloud settings and the calendars in Yahoo (the email default I use for all of my notes and calendars), but nothing works.  My calendars seem to be working fine with the same default in the Calendars app.
    iphone and macbook are up to date, I hit SoftwareUpdate 5 times a day
    Ideas anyone?

    I had two e-mail-accounts with notes, accounts are set up in the new notes app, but all notes are missing. i tried to disable and re-enable nites in the accounts system preferences without luck - actually i can't disable notes in the system preferences pane: when i click on the checkmark it disappears and immediately reappears.... IS THIS A BUG?
    so the notes are still there on my ipad and iphone - but not in the new notes app in 10.8 although the accounts are setup and the notes app is showing them...

  • Awesome Note won't update on iPhone 4 (32GB)

    I have Awesome Note 4.9.1. I think I've purchased the full version, but even if not, the App Store function says there's an update for the version I have which is 5.0.3 dated 4/15/2011. When I try to download it on my iPhone 4 (32GB), I get a message saying that the app is too big at 20 MB to download using wi-fi and I need to do it using iTunes on my computer. When I try that, I get a message saying the version is not available because it's being updated.
    What's up with that?

    Try deleting the songs off your iPhone then resyncing.
    Should resolve your issue.

    It sounds like you may have multiple problems, but none of them are likely to be caused by malware.
    First, the internet-related issues may be related to adware or a network compromise. I tend to lean more towards the latter, based on your description of the problem. See:

    If investigation shows that this is not a network-specific issue, then it's probably adware. See my Adware Removal Guide for help finding and removing it. Note that you mention AdBlock as if it should have prevented this, but it's important to understand that ad blockers do not protect you against adware in any way. Neither would any kind of anti-virus software, which often doesn't detect adware.
    As for the other issues, it sounds like you've got some serious corruption. I would be inclined to say it sounds like a failing drive, except it sounds like you just got it replaced. How did you get all your files back after the new drive was installed?

    Correct. The 3G iPod does not have the hardware to support an iOS version higher than 5.1.1
    To more easily find compatible apps:
    iOSSearch - search the iTunes store for compatible apps.
    Apple Club - filter apps by iOS version.
    Starting when iOS 7 was releases, Apple now allows downloading the last compatible version of some apps (iOS 4.2.1 and later only)
    App Store: Downloading Older Versions of Apps on iOS - Apple Club
    App Store: Install the latest compatible version of an app
    You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists.

I have purchased RAM several times from Other World Computing and have always been very satisfied with the product and service. They have on-line instructions on how to replace the RAM.     Many people are having this problem for the last couple of days. This is a problem that Apple has to fix. If you look around the forum, you will see many, many discusssions about this and they have been going on for a few days.
    According to Fly150 in another discussion, this is a workaround - for the time being.
    If you want to update the Apps while waiting for Apple to fix Updates:
    1. Go to App Store
    2. Select Purchased
    3. Select All
    4. Scroll down to find the Apps showing update
    5. Select update on the Apps
    This should update the Apps and get rid of the update count in App Store.

  • HotSync won't update...hard reset not work

    I was not getting my updates from several HotSyncs on my TX. Was receiving low memory messages, so I did several resets to no avail. I eventually did the hard reset and all of my data was removed. When I attempted to HotSync to restore the info, my laptop did not recognize the TX (device). I reloaded all the Palm Desktop software on the laptop and still no results. Where did I mess up? Thanks

    What happens when you try to sync? Do you get any error messages??
    If you are getting the error message, "the connection between your device and the desktop cannot be established, please check your setup and try again" here is what you need to do.
     Do you see the hot sync icon (circle with red and blue arrows) on the bottom right of your computer screen? Is there an arrow with the option to "show hidden icons"? If you do not see it there, hot sync will be disabled and you will keep getting that message (the connection between your device and the desktop could not be established...). To enable the hot sync program once again, click on Start > Programs/All Programs > Palm OS Desktop/Palm One > Hot Sync Manager. It will take about 5-10 seconds and the icon will be there once again. Now the sync should go through. When you begin sync'ing, the computer will prompt you, "there is no user name associated with this account..." select your old user name and then all the info will come back onto your palm.

    You didn't specify which way you are trying to update - using the Software Update setting on the iPad or by using iTunes. I will assume that you are using iTunes because the kb article that linkd you to here was the one about iTunes error codes.
    Quit iTunes, reset your iPad, restart your computer and try again. Disable your firewall and antivirus software of you are using it.
    Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • Certain apps won't update or download on any device.

    I've searched for two weeks to no avail. I've seen similar problems posted but nothing quite like this. I have an iPhone 5s iOS 8.2, a 4th Gen iPad iOS 8.2 and Mac Mini Late 2014 OS X Yosemite 10.10.2. It all started with wanted to download the Pages app. My iPad is old enough it wouldn't let me download it for free so I initiated the download on my iPhone and then promptly cancelled. I then tried to download Pages from "the cloud" onto my iPad. It downloaded 3/4 of the way and failed stated that the app could not be downloaded at this time with two options to continue: done and retry. And now there are a handful of apps that will fail somewhere in the download and some apps that are already installed on the devices that won't update. Any app that has previously failed WILL download over cellular network on the iPhone 5s. I've tried four separate location with WIFI access and these same apps will not download. I've cleared network statistics, restored the iPhone to factory defaults, changed Apple ID password, tried a different Apple ID, and trying to download apps on Mac Mini to sync to iPhone/iPad over tethered connection. The only partial fix I have discovered is to start download over cellular network and switch to WIFI download. Please... any ideas. I feel I may have left out some steps I might have taken so please feel free to ask any questions.

    I had this problem and solved it by going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.
    Note: This will not delete any apps, songs, videos, or podcasts from your phone. It will only reset your wallpapers, brightness, bluetooth, contact sorting, network preferences (still remembers networks though), etc.  It's a bit annoying to go update all these back to how yo like, but much less annoying than a full restore.
    DO NOT press Erase All Content and Settings. This will delete everything and you'll have to restore from iTunes.

  • IMac display issues: black icons and folders, doubled up files in finder windows, programs won't update

    HELP!
    I'm hoping someone can help with my iMac 27" purchased in 2010.  From a previous discussion I started a year ago, I have had virtually nothing but trouble with it.  After the internal hard drive crashing, I was able to install OS X on an external drive and used it for a good 8 months to drive my iMac and I took it to an expert who has replaced it with a 3tb HDD, but at some point the display has gone crazy.  I am not certain if it is hardware, i.e. graphics card or video but I'll describe the symptoms and add some pics to see if anyone has seen this before and knows what the problem may be.
    1.     90% of the screen was covered with white with just a portion of the desktop showing through.
            (This happened when I tried to reinstall OS X on the old HDD and the new one, but didn't happen when using OS X install disc)
    2.     Files, folders, photos and some icons on the dock go black
    3.     Files and photos double up when in Finder.  When I'm viewing photos, it shows them but all the previous panes and the photos are jumbled behind the
            photos.
    4.     Anything I open in Preview is completely black, but ColourSync Utility opens everything fine.
    5.     Programs won't update.  They will download onto my iMac but won't update.  Some say, because I don't have OS X 10.6.8 others just won't open.
            Including Google Chrome, opens with two tabs open but when I open a third tab the rainbow wheel just turns.  Skype won't open just gives a failure
            report.
    6.     10.6.8 Update Combo downloads but when I restart the screen is covered in white - as in 1. and I have to reinstall OS X 10.6.2 to get the screen to               clear but then all the above problems continue.
    7.     Sometimes videos don't display in Youtube, or the entire page other than the video player is covered in rainbow lines.
    8.     Some buttons are blacked out on selection pages, i.e. system preferences, or saving screens
    9.     Photos opened in FB go upside down and flicker all over the page as my mouse runs over them.
    10.   Photos won't upload into internet editing programs.
    I can't find anyone who has had the same issue in all of the discussions I've looked at, but it sounds like I have a video problem, but I wondered if it might be a software problem with flash or something.  Or I have something malicious on my computer.
    I also have an iphone 5 that faulted with the iTunes and USB icons and won't fix after trying one of those R-Sims, and I wondered if somewhere along the line it may have even had a virus/trojan/malware that has infected my external drive and then my internal drive.  A reason I have thought that is because I have used my daughter's MacPro laptop and plugged in my external drive and I noticed the windows in hers were starting to do the same thing.
    And on top of all that, my fans didn't work for over a year and I had to place an external fan at the back of the computer or it would overheat and shut down, but after resetting the SMU it started working again, but it is very noisy. I have tried to download SMC Fan Control and although it downloads to the HDD, it won't open.
    Sorry its such a long post, I do hope with all of this information someone can help me.

    *Soon after, I installed Quake Wars, L4D 1, 2, Mass Effect 2, Need For Speed: Undercover, Mozilla Firefox and *Sophos Enterprise AV*. Approximately a week after installation, I began to experience malfunctions varying greatly*
    Macs get grumpy when running anti virus software. Disable or completely uninstall Sophos A/V and see if that makes a difference. A/V software on a Mac will slow the drive down more and more as time goes on.
    Also, check the vendor sites for each 3rd party software you installed to make sure they are compatible with 10.6.x
    The "hard reboots" are a result of the system freezing due to incompatible or outdated software.
