My notifications are not working

just got my new 5th gen. ipod touch today and none of my notifications are working for any of my messaging apps. has anyone else had this issue??
any questions just let me know.
ive tried turning it off and on and restoring altogether... idk what else to try.

Me too!  I only noticed as we are in a fire prone area and my "FireReady" app wasn't sending notifcations.  Then I realised that NBA/Twitter etc were not working either.  Notification centre has them all active and on with sound.  ISP hasn't changed.  Have tried Reset and turnig select ones on and off.   Sounded like a glitch - wanted to avoid doing a Restore ....
AND then went to SETTINGS/Mail,Contacts,Calenders - Fetch New Data and found it was set to Manual - changed to Hourly and Bam!  NYTImes Notification came through.  Will monitor now and advise ....

  • Push notifications are not working on current gen ipod touch

Push notifications are not working on current gen ipod touch. I just got it a couple of weeks back. It is a refurbished model.
It works fine on my iphone 4 flawlessly. I have compared the settings between the 2 and everything is similar. Not sure if there is anything specific that needs to be done for an ipod. Kindly advise.

Yea...internet is working fine. tried everything. reset the network, turned off the notifications, rebooted and turned them on. Still not working.
When I select auto settings, its asks for https url...what do i type in there?
The most weird thing is that, it was working fine before the update :s

  • Email push notifications are not working.

I'm running os 5.0.1 on a iPod Touch 4.  Push notifications are not working for email.
The only way to check emails is to go into the email app and check for updates.
I deleted my email accounts and reloaded them.
I removed all active apps and restarted my iPod and still does not work.
Fetch New Data is set to Push.
I hear a lot of problems with this but is anything beiing done?
Why would this all of a sudden stop working?

Your welcome, nice it's working now

  • Email notifications are not working anymore

    Hi guys,
I use Grid Control 10.2.0.2 on Windows, and email notifications for critical alerts are not working anymore.
I didn't change anything to the OMS configuration, it just stopped one day, and when I ask for a test email (in "Setup -> Notifications methods" of in "Preferences") it is successfully delivered.
I didn't find anything related to this in log files, and nothing that could help here or on metalink.
Can anyone help about that weird issue ??
    thanks in advance
    Antoine

Have you gone back over your notification rules?
have you tried just creating a new notification rule and testing it?
Also take a look at Note:356774.1. If you've applied any patches (or done partition maintenance) you may have inadvertently lost all your jobs, which will break the email notications.
If still no joy, then try Note:285093.1.
let us know how you get on.

I'm connected to the wifi and my notifications are on for those apps. PPPLEASE HELP

Hi nokia. I'm experiencing the same problem as ,@charmlo except my notification+actions show that they are active, and that Im supposed to be recieving notifications, but I don't receive them. I'll have to open the app before I actually receive any notifications. I made sure my time settings are up date, and my apps are updated. What do I do?

  • Push Notifications Are Not Working

I'm currently using an iPhone 4 (iOS 4.3.3) and push notifications have stopped working. The only app that seems to still be pushing is TextPlus. In my case Facebook, Scrabble, Gowalla and Twitter have all stopped working.
Here is what I have already tried:
    Restored my iPhone
General --> Reset --> Reset All Settings
None of these things worked. Are there any suggestions that will definitively help fix this issue? I'm at a loss.
    Thanks

  • Push notifications are not working on cellular data

    Hello Everyone,
I am using iPhone 4S with iOS 7.0.4. I am receiving push notificaitons only when connected to Wifi and not when connected to 3G cellular data. I have enabled push notificaitons to all apps but I dont receive them when phone is not connected to Wifi. Is there anything I need to enable/activate to receive push notificaitons on cellular data?

    Hello Rangaswamy,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information, take a look at:
    iOS: Understanding notifications
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3576
    Troubleshooting notifications
Push notifications require an active Wi-Fi or cellular connection.
Note: Notifications use Wi-Fi only when a cellular connection is unavailable. Firewalls and proxy servers may affect your ability to receive notifications. For more information, see Unable to use Apple Push Notification service (APNs).
If you're not receiving notifications for a specific app, try these steps:
Verify that the app supports notifications.
After installing an app or restoring a backup to a different iOS device, open the app to begin receiving notifications. If the app requires entering or logging in to an account, you will need to do this before receiving notifications.
Check Settings > Notification Center to ensure that the app is configured for notifications. If notifications do not appear in the Notification Center, verify that the Notification Center setting for the app is enabled.
    Have a nice day,
    Mario

  • CSCus49666 - DX650 - Audio/Visual pickup notifications are not working.

We have a customer who has just purchased 40 of these devices and has found this issue. All of the users they have given them to are manager/secretary board level types so need call pickup to function correctly.
The bugID CSCus49666 shows fixed in releases as (0), Release Pending.
Does anyone have a timescale for this to be resolved?

    This is resolved!
So for Monitor alerts (email, sms, etc) to work for Linux boxes you do need to have owcimomd running with port 5989 TCP open.
You will want to edit /etc/init.d/owcimomd and on line 66 add -n + 10 which should help owcimomd not be such a cpu hog.
    startproc -n +10 -p $PIDFILE $DAEMON $OPTIONS > /dev/null 2>&1

  • My push and notifications are not working

As of a couple of days ago my push and notifications quit working.  They were working fine up until then.  I have tried deleting the yahoo account and re-adding it.  I got it to work for a few minutes by removing all apps from the the notification center and then adding them back.  Now nothing seems to be working.

Please do a search on the forum, there are numerous threads regarding this already.   You can also look at the first page of the forum and see that there is a thread on this.

  • Question on Mail, notifications are not working

I have 3 email accounts in Mail on my MacBook Pro, iPad 2, and iPhone 4. iPad and iPhone are working perfectly, zero issues. The MacBook is the one with the issues. My GMail account and work email are great, when I get a new email, it shows me "1" for one new email, or "4" for four new emails, they both work like they should. My iCloud account is the one with the issue. It ALWAYS says "1", like I have one new email. It will say this whether there is zero new emails, zero emails period, or 10 new emails. It just started today and I can't figure it out. Erased all the emails, still says "1", went to iCloud.com, no emails there, iPad and iPhone, no emails there, just the Mac thinks there is always one new email for iCloud only. Any thoughts besides the basics of restarting the application and computer? Thanks.

My iCloud account is the one with the issue.
    Open System Preferences > iCloud
Deselect the box next to:  Mail & Notes then reselect it then restart your Mac.
