My numbers spreadsheet isn't flowing to the next page.

And sometimes when I paste it (formula results only), it gets locked on the page above and I can't move it.

Dave,
Made sure your table is set to Arrange > Move with text.

  • How can I insert text in Pages so it flows to the next page?

I try copying a block of text into Pages but it cuts off at the end of the page instead of flowing to the next page. How do I fix this?

You have probably started with a Layout mode template instead of a Word Processing template. See the sidebar in the Template Chooser for which is which.
Alternatively you may have pasted an object (possibly from the Internet), not text into a Word Processing template. Click inside the object and copy the text, then delete the object and try pasting again.

  • How to get text flow onto the next page from template "travel journal"?

When wanting to create a new document, I chose "Travel journal" between "side layouts" in templates. When it opens, you see one page with pictures and example of text.
When I start to write my text in the text field, it disappears when I get to the end of the page.
What do I do to have the text move/flow to the next page automatically?

The "Travel Journal" template is a page layout document & uses text boxes. There is no default flow to another page. You need to insert a new page & then create a linked text box. You can link existing text boxes or create a new text box linked to an existing one. Click the linking triangle then click to create a new box or click an existing box to link to it.

  • Empty space in first page if data flows to the next page

    Hello All,
i have some windows after the main window and before the footer, like signature and two more.
suppose the data in the main window flows to the second page, there is lot of blank space left in the first page as i am printing the signature window only after the main window.
is it possible to avoid this space so that the first page is full with the main window data.
    Thank you
    Usha

    Hi Usha,
Whatever i get from from question is like.. when your data in the main window is getting exceed then its flowing to next page.
And you are printing the singnature window after main window.
Do one thing take ur main window size as full page i mean whtever u r going to print in the signature window or other window after the main window this windows u define in your main window footer , By doing this what will happen that after your all main window data that your other windows will print and without space.

  • Making dynamic form flow on to next page

    Hello,
I am trying to make a dynamic form that is expandable. I have succeeded in creating expanding fields, but have been unsuccessful in convincing those fields to flow on to the next page (which I have added). I have set all the content for my fields to flowed and have allowed page breaks in all of them. I suspect there might be a pagination issue, but I have not found any solid information about how to use it correctly. If I select any option other than the default in pagination (while the subform at the bottom of the page is selected), the whole form disappears. I realize I may have some inherent flaws in my design and will perhaps need to start over, but if anyone had a list of requirements for making things flow to the next page (after a set margin at the bottom of the page, i.e. at 1" from the bottom, the field entry splist, and continues at 1" from the top of page 2), I would be grateful.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
I wondered if you might be able to help me solve another flow issue? I've got my form working quite well now, but I', having an issue with the text fields. My fields have captions that ask a question, and the response should be in the field. I wondered if there was a way to make the text fields wrap onto the beginning of the next line as they expand, rather than going onto the next line at the limit of the text field. For example-
What is your favorite color?: (the response continues here and goes all the way to the end and on to the next
    line and continues here.
    rather than-
what is your favorite color?: text text etc etc
                                              text text text etc etc.
Does that make any sense? Is it possible? Should I throw this to the forum?
    Thanks!

I'm trying to input phone numbers starting with 0 into Numbers Spreadsheets. It keeps deleting the 0. any clues anyone?

select the cells (or column) where you are entering the phone numbers and change the format to "Text":
Then "Natural" way to write numbers is to omit leading zeros.
Another ways is to leave the the cell format as "Automatic" and type a single quote BEFORE entering the phone number... like this:

  • Thr_create() returns -1 which isn't specified in the man page. What is -1?

    Hello,
I'm for the first time experimenting with Solaris threads as I'm porting an AIX app. over to Solaris.
Anyhow, I have a sample program that creates a simple thread. For some reason, the return value of of the initial thr_create is -1, which isn't specified in the man page for thr_create. The man page lists the following return values, non of which are -1:
    RETURN VALUES
Zero indicates a successful return and a non-zero value
    indicates an error.
    ERRORS
If any of the following conditions occur, these functions
fail and return the corresponding value:
EAGAIN The system-imposed limit on the total number
of threads in a process has been exceeded or
some system resource has been exceeded (for
example, too many LWPs were created).
EINVAL The value specified by attr is invalid.
If any of the following conditions are detected,
pthread_create() fails and returns the corresponding value:
ENOMEM Not enough memory was available to create the
    new thread.
If any of the following conditions are detected,
thr_create() fails and returns the corresponding value:
EINVAL o stack_base is not NULL and stack_size is
less than the value returned by
    thr_min_stack(3T).
o stack_base is NULL and stack_size is not
zero and is less than the value returned by
    thr_min_stack(3T).
However, I don't see a -1 there and therefore, don't know what this means.
Here is the simple code that I wrote for this experiment as well as the output. It doesn't get too far into the program before exiting - I've bolded where it exits:

In Pages, the column in the table won't flow onto the second page. The text is hidden. Please help!

    Thank you for your reply,
When I click 'view' , I can "show inspector". From the table tab, I can pull up the "Format". [See below]. I don't see the "Arrange" or "Object Placement Move with Text"
Right now I have the Wrap Text On. When I take it off, It messes up my rows [see second image].
All I want is for my column to flow onto the second page.
    Your assistance is genuinely appreciated.
    Thank you again.

  • How to make code in dreamweaver flow to the next line?

The line lengths of my code are really really long. How do I make it automatically flow to the next line without causing it to actually be a new line? Just for viewing purposes. I don't like having to scroll all the way to the end of the line of code to add a close tag.

    Hi
Right-click on the area next to the 'box' that has the page title, and select 'coding' to enable the coding toolbar, (appears on the l/h side of the code window) then select the word wrap icon, see image -

  • Data gets truncated when flows on the new page ?

I have data from about 5 tables displayed in this report.
There is one row which fetches all the required data and displayed there. This is a repeating frame in a group. The group is then again on a repeating frame which is on a group.
At the end of this in the overall group frame, there is a row which has summary columns.
the problem: When the rows of the innermost repeating frame are a lot in number, such that they exceed the page and overflow to the next page, the extra records do not get displayed. they are truncated and the next record starts on the new page. if i fiddle with the properties of the frames. the other scenario i get is, now i get the same number of rows as before, only, this time the summary row is also displayed at the end of this page. and like before a new record starts on the new page.
I tried many possible comninations with the properties, but i cannot get the data to flow over to the next page.
Any comments as to why this is happening ?

    Hi,
It does sound like it's probably related to your print conditions. If you have not already had a look, I would highly recommend looking at the restrictions in the on-line help for the Print Object On property.
It's difficult to say without seeing the report itself. What it sounds like to me is that a detail repeating frame has been set to All Pages. Let's say its master repeating frame is the Base Printing Object for the detail repeating frame. If the master only has a couple of lines of data to itself (ie the department name and id or location) then it likely does not have enough data to go to an additional logical page. All Pages for the detail repeating frame means that it will print on and only on All logical pages that the Base Printing Object will appear on. Therefore, as it would only appear on one page, the detail will get truncated to just that one page.
I suspect this is likely to be what it going on here, however, without the actual report, it will be difficult to tell exactly which object is causing the problem. If after reading the doc on this you still have trouble figuring out which frame is causing the problem (it may be repeating or a group frame) then I'd suggest contacting Oracle Support for further hands on assistance.
    Hope that helps,
    Toby

  • How do you get a table to flow onto the second page?

Since upgrading to Yosemite, I cannot figure out how to get my table to continue on to the second page. If you look at my screenshot, you can see that my table was so big so the whole thing was moved to the next page. I want it to remain on the 1st page and have additional rows continue on to the second page. In the previous version of pages, the column titles would also appear on the second page. Thank you very much for your help.

    Hi F.AD.;
Go to View > Show Invisibles (Shift+Command+I).
This will display Paragraph marks (¶) at the end of each paragraph.
Delete the paragraph mark (¶) that is at the end of the paragraph before the table, i.e. just between the table and the paragraph.
This will bring the table surely just beneath the paragraph (text), I suppose.
    Hi BePositive26;
You didn't mention whether my suggestion made easy to solve your problem.

    Hi,
This issue is in ADOBE, I think there is no concept of Window in ADOBE,
The text box is placed inside a Subform.
