My old account is coming up when i try to buy apps

I have a NEW appleID and it is signed in to Itunes Store/ App store. But ONLY when I try to buy apps, the OLD account email is coming up to say sign in and buy rather than my new one.
HELP!

Are you sure that there are no updates to be downloaded? Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to access your content bought with another Apple ID with a new Apple ID.

You can use the same ID but you will need a U.S. based credit or debit card account.

Try going to Settings>iTunes & App Stores, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with the new ID.

No app on the iPod is required.
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up or conbtinue to show off-line.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.

My Apple ID was changed. Yet when I try to update apps I am asked to enter the password for the old IG which will not work and no matter what I do. When I attempt to update apps it still askes for the wrong ID data.

You cannot change your Apple ID. You can get a new one if you want, but all of your Apps and media are linked to yoru old Apple ID. And no, Apple won't transfer your old ID purchases to yoru new ID.

What id shows at the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app ? If it's the old email address that you had on your account then try tapping on it and log out of your account and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on the iPad.

If you still have your old card listed on your account then try selecting the 'none' option and remove it and then try entering the card's details from scratch. If that doesn't work then what is the full error message that you are getting, and the card is registered to the same name and address (including format and spacing) that you have on your iTunes account ?
