My old Apple ID comes up on my iPad and I can't sign in

I Have changed my apple I'd as I have changed my email but when I try to sign on with my iPad my old Apple ID comes up and it asks for my password. I cannot seem to change my password. Help

The id and password comes up where on your iPad ? When changing your id you might need to log out off where you use it (e.g. tap on the id in Settings > iTunes & App Store on your iPad ; Settings > iCloud > Delete Account) and then log back in with the updated version so as to 'refresh' the account on it

I found the answer... to disable "Find my iPad" first before trying to delete the iCloud account, and the password was accepted. When I tried deleting the iCloud account before disabling "Find my iPad", the password wasn´t accepted.

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.

If you are using iMessages or FaceTime, you will also need to log out and into your ID there too.

Apps and their updates are permanently tied to the ID used to purchase them originally. It will always ask you for your old ID if they were purchased using that ID. The only way to stop this would be to delete them from your phone and your iTunes library, then repurchase them using your current ID.

Hi Douglas,
If any of your devices were signed in after you have made the change then you will need to temporarily change your Apple ID back to what it originally was. Once you have gone back, you will be able to sign out of any account and then change the Apple ID back to what you want it to be. Then just sign in and you will be good to go. You can not merge accounts.
Apps are tied to the Apple ID used to download them, you can not transfer them.

If you want to change your iCloud ID or password on your phone go to Settings>iCloud and tap Delete Account, then sign back in with your updated information. Note: this only deletes the account and any synced data from your phone, not from iCloud. Yes, you can just log out of iCloud on the mini (Settings>iCloud> Sign out) and nothing will be affected as long as the iPad is not restored from any backup after that. Though if you're giving her the iPad I would highly recommend moving the pictures to your iPad (via this page) so that the mini can be reset and set up under your daughters ID to avoid Activation Lock in the future.

But it does somehow my English security answers do not work on a Japanese Question especialy if I did not choose that question I set up the multiple choice In English and wrote the answers in English or Roman and set them langauge preferences in English, do you really think you can correctly write english name or word in Japanese they write a police patrol car pato caa パトカア　they do not have r and l .So it is my choice to make my security easy for me and as difficult for others to hack.But they also have patororoo choo meaning ' now patrolling ' so why they have pato caa patrol car and patoro patrol and have thousands of Chinese words kanji they can find patrol.
I am getting off the topic but I am at a loss to fix this problem when they hold the keys and i have all the info to verify my ID.
