My old Apple ID won't allow me to use the old password to log out of the cloud. I can't use the new one, either. The new Apple ID is in the iTunes and App store. But I can't change it on the cloud without logging out. Which I can't do.
I can't use the old Apple id and Apple password on my new Iphone 6 - I can use the new ones. But I can't access the cloud in the meantime. The iTunes and App Stire has the new Apple ID, but I can't get into the settings to change it on the iCloud. It asks for the Old Apple ID and password, which doesn't work. Does anyone know how to change the old Apple ID on the iPhone in the settings for the iCloud?
First, try the new password. If you didn't sign out of iCloud prior to changing the primary email address of your Apple ID, this is what can cause this problem.

Unfortunately I had allowed icloud to hijack my airbook files, so of course I am afraid I will lose them tomorrow when I exchange my iphone for a new one and cannot keep an icloud account i cannot access. Just bought a new iPhone and am having trouble with iTunes and App Store. I can log in to Cloud, iTunes, and app store but once I try to download, it says "Youe apple id has been disabled". I've reset my password three times and have no issue on my Pad.

Quit iPhoto if it is open.
Hold down the Command and Option keys on the keyboard.
Open iPhoto.

To update outstanding Apps in the App Store do I really need to have the person who purchased or downloaded them to sign in?
How can I remove his Apple ID altogether as this person holds no connection to me at all.
His Apple ID has come with my newly installed hard drive (works carried out under warranty), so I'm
assuming it is 2nd hand.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

On my ipad mini my apple id is correct in the itunes and app but for icloud it is incorrect. How do I fix this? On icloud it shows correctly.
You can log out of your iCloud account via Settings > iCloud > Sign Out (or Delete Account if not on iOS 8), and you can then log back in with the correct id.

I can log into iTunes and App Store but NOT iMessage. What gives?
I'm currently using Wifi with my 3rd gen iPad. iOS 6.0.1. I'm not home so I don't have access to my iMac (actually currently at 30k ft somewhere over Virginia :) ).
Anyway, I can log into iTunes, access the App Store, sign out of those, log back in. No prob. I used my appleID and pass to write this message. But I cannot get into Imessage, and I can't figure it out!
I get an error saying: "could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again." If I try to make a new appleID, imessage thinks and thinks...nothing happens.
This isn't a new issue, it's been like this for quite a while, since upgrading to iOS 6 months ago. How can I get into imessage on my ipad? For what it's worth, it works fine on my iPhone.

My wife has set up a family icloud and sent me an invitation, since recently becoming an iPad mini owner. However, I cannot log in to iCloud. Whenever I enter my Apple ID in the screen I get an error message basically telling me what I have entered is incorrect but how can that be when I am in iTunes and the App Store? Can anyone help as it's doing my wife's nut in as she wants to get the family iCloud up and running and I'm the guinea pig.

TS3297 Why is my iTunes and App Store defaulting to US when I am in the UK?
I somehow managed to get onto the US version of the App Store and I can no longer get the default back to the UK. I am allowed to change the icon in the bottom right hand corner, however it defaults back to the US when I try to update my outstanding apps. I get a message telling me that I should access my own store in the UK when I try to update, which I of course cannot do. Thanks in advance
Privacy is an Option in the Settings App, its not in Safari as that applies only to Safaris browsing. Its called Privacy in IOS 6 In previous versions the same thing can be found under Location Services.

The recommended solution for most families is to share the same Apple ID for iTunes and App Store purchases, so you can share your purchases, but us different IDs for iMessage, FaceTime and iCloud. With this arrangement, each person can automatically download purchases made on the shared ID (by turning this feature on in Settings>iTunes & App Stores), while keeping their FaceTime calls, text messages and iCloud data (including photo stream) separated. Our family now has 7 devices, Ipad, Ipad mini, itouch. I am not sure if I am setting them up correctly to share Icloud and app's but to each have there own device name and apple id for mail, messageing and facetime.

As randers4 says, use separate AppleIDs for iCloud and iMessage accounts. You cannot "share iCloud" and have separate mail, messaging and facetime. To get those, you need to use separate AppleIDs to each create your own iCloud account and your own iMessage account.
You can share apps and other purchased content by having a common AppleID used in the iTunes and App store.
