My old computer broke. Please help me with itunes!
My old computer broke and we just got a new Dell. I plugged my ipod in and it says barbsipod but it says that I can only use one itunes.
The problem is my old itunes is on the broken computer.
How do I switch my ipod to the new itunes I downloaded?

I think I understand your situation. Your iPod actually has a copy of all the music files that are on your old system (it is what you listen to). There are utilities that allow a computer to read the iPod into your new computer. I have purchased and used one, but that was over a year ago. So go find a utility that allows you new computer to upload all of your iPod files. You should be fine.
In the worst case, a local computer shop can usually mount your old system's hard drive and copy your iTunes folder to a CD or a DVD. You could then import this into your new system, sans ratings, playlists, etc.

Please help me with iTunes 7.4
I went on my computer to download iTunes 7.4. Usually when I open iTunes and there is a new update a window will pop open and it says "new version of iTunes available, would you like to download?" It didn't do it this time so I clicked on help and then on check for updates. I finally get the message to download, I click yes to download and a couple of seconds later it says installation complete BUT the window that usually opens up to show it downloading never comes up.
I check add or remove programs on my computer and my iTunes program still shows 7.3 version. So, obviously the download didn't happen. I've tried at least 5 times now. Shutting down the computer and restarting it doesn't help.
I don't know how to do get the new version. Can anyone help? I've never had this happen before.
Is there anywhere on the iTunes page that shows what the current version is on my computer?
Any help will be appreciated.

Not sure if it works the same with Windows.. but on my MAC..with iTunes opened..

But that really shouldnt matter since i just purchased an app just fine but then try to go back into ituns and read about the app it times out on me..lol

Please help, problems with iTunes
Alright, so earlier today my computer crashed. I restored it to its original factory settings and now it's okay. The only thing is that everything that I had on my computer before is erased, even my iTunes.
Before it crashed, I had iTunes 7, so when i got my computer started again, I downloaded iTunes 8 (the only one available) and I still have all the music on my iPod, but it won't let me sync my music from it onto iTunes.
Is there anything I can do?

Thank you!Sure you always have options. If your content is purchased off the iTunes Store you can do the following:
1) iPod Connect to Computer
2) File -> Transfer Purchases
If you want all your content off your iPod that may not be purchased through the iTunes Store then you'll need to use a third-party program such as one of the following:
1) iPod Copy (www.ipodcopy.com OR www.ipod-copy.com)
2) Music Rescue
3) Senuti (Mac)
Those programs will transfer all the content off the iPod and back into your iTunes library. -

Hello, was attempting to back up old ipod touch to laptop (in order to set up new ipod) but message read that cannot connect because it requires itunes version 10.6.3 or later. itunes will not update on laptop. iOS 6 requires iTunes 10.7 or later. Install the latest version of iTunes which is 11.
Trouble installing iTunes or QuickTime for Windows -
I have been here for 5 hours trying to get my itunes to work, i had a video ipod and lost it in december, i just bought a new one, i erased and uninstalled all the old itune and quicktime programs, i installed the new ones and now no matter what i do i can not open Itunes, when i install it it says installation was completed, but when i click on the icon on my desktop it opens with the agreement for like 2 seconds and then closes, what can i do i have a new computer with windows xp, was my old video ipod disc a different versionm i am starting to think so, why doesn't this new version workm can i find the old version online? I don't have my disc now. the "flash" of the license screen is usually associated with an infestation of the PC by Qoologic adware.
the free trial version of the EWIDO malware removal software has been fixing that for most people.

If you have a pc, when you plug your iPad in you should see the windows pop up window offering to backup the photos. Do that and it will save all your photos and videos to your computer where you can then sync them back to your new one.
If the pop up doesn't come up, double click on my computer and navigate your way to the iPad. Double cick on it an d navigate to the DCIM folder. Drag your photos and videos to your pc, then sync them back onto your iPad. -

Nevermind, I got it working.
I ended up extracting the new vob within MPEG Streamclip, which gave me an m2v and an aiff audio. I multiplexed those two back together in FFMpegX which gave me a complete VIDEO_TS folder with BUP and IFO files I needed. -

Assuming your rig can support virtual machines, you can use Hyper-V and run another OS there.
Better practice however is to use a dedicated machine and use remote desktop to the server.
