My old Firefox - w/ Persona, Bookmarks, etc, has disappeared - should I do "Firefox Refresh" , or what?

I can open FF but I just get a "new" screen. In my efforts to retrieve the old I have a "Old Firefox Data" icon on the desktop but
even in that it imports only the websites I've gone to since the old browser disappeared.

no idea are this things connected about committed Physical memory

this picture was taken 3-4 hours back, new it is 12,3/13,8GB, & its with firefox, is it normal or is one of the add causing it, to fix 1 issue i tried refresh, but it did not work then i overwrote the files with old files what were created with refresh (the issue i tried to fix with refresh got solved somehow), then i manually downloaded https-everywhere newest version, + HTML5 Add-on what u will see on this picture:
https://fud.community.services.support.microsoft.com/Fud/FileDownloadHandler.ashx?fid=ece94450-f791-48f4-a31d-44f00295a632
is the thing with committed Physical memory normal or does this means Physical memory leaks? & is it connected with https-everywhere or some other add, or with me overwriting files or did windows update have that effect, or is it normal?
13,8 shows limit, as i understand it, but if the limiter also changes, isn't it strange?
or is it cause i am connected to the Sync server or how to call it, browser connected to Mozilla acc, can that cause problems to?
also widows (or Firefox) instead of increasing the maximum Committed, the limit it should overwrite (or clean) old page files, so far it seems to have done it & i use same pages for weeks & yesterday the way Committed is used changed, no longer overwrites, i imagine if i watch videos with out sleep a month or 2 my Harddrive would be full of Virtual memory, more the Committed limit increases the more Harddrive space it takes & it grows with each video i watch, i closed browser once so it reset, new its 2,4/13,7BG, but it increases later on

I recently had a data migration from old iMac to new iMac 11.2
How do I use that data file to get old email contacts, Safari bookmarks, etc ?

FireWire cables are dirt cheap and that's how you should be doing the migration. You might have to start over, wiping the new machine's HD, and restoring the software as described in the Everything Mac manual that came with it. See Best Practices and Setup new Mac for more details.

  • HOW CAN I GET MY OLD TABS (FILE SAVE/BOOKMARK, ETC) BACK ON TOP OF SCREEN? I HATE THIS NEW LAYOUT!

Today some kind of update happened on Firefox without me even approving it. Suddenly, I no longer have the tabs across the top that I REALLY liked--File/save as, Bookmark, View, etc. I WANT THEM BACK. Yes, I have found the little goofy drop-down icon on the right corner of the screen, but I don't like that. How can I get old view back???

  • If I download a new version of Firefox and delete the old one, will my bookmarks be saved? Should I simply put the old version in the trash?

I just downloaded Firefox 31 and would like to get rid of the old version without losing my bookmarks.

Hello jlinder, YES your bookmarks will be saved.
    1. Download full installer from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
    2. '''Trash''' the current Firefox application to do a clean install.
    3. Install the version that you have downloaded.
Do not select to remove your personal data, your profile data is stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox#Mac Firefox Profile Folder], so you won't lose your bookmarks or other personal data.
