My old mac was stolen and i'm trying to get my website on my new macbookpro

My old mac was stolen and i bought a new macbook pro,
I'm trying to get my website on this new computer from godaddy.com.
I've tried using filezilla and downloaded the entire website file but havent managed to be able to open it up with iWeb yet. Anyone know how i can download my currently running website from the internet to continue working on it using iWeb with my new mac?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. If you don't have a backup copy of the Domain.sites2 file that iWeb uses to create the site you'll have to start over from scratch. However, Chapter 2.3 on the iWeb FAQ.org site has tips on using some of the existing image, audio and/or video files in the published site in the reconstruction of the site.
Happy Holidays

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")

  • HT1689 my ipod was stolen and i am trying to find out serial number on my accout

My ipod was stolen and i am tryingt o find out the serial number on my itunes account. Is this available

Finding serial number for a device - https://discussions.apple.com/message/18246553 - from box or backup file, not from Apple.
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2526 - If you registered a device you can use My Support Profile to find a list of serial numbers that have been purchased or registered with your Apple ID.
    My Support Profile - https://supportprofile.apple.com/MySupportProfile.do
Maybe a way to find serial number after a device is no longer in your possession - https://discussions.apple.com/message/19524469 - "The easiest way to find your serial number is this Open Itunes...click help... run diagnostics.....(tick or untick as necessary) so that you just have ticked the last two, device connectivity and device sync. run these tests. it will say no ipod/ipad found but will give results of test....scroll down to bottom of results... here you will find the serial number of your last attached devices."

  • My old iPhone was stolen and now I'm wondering how to transfer songs I'd purchased on my old iPhone to my new one. My iTunes account recognizes the sons I've purchased and I can see them in my purchases history but I don't know how to access them. HELP!

So, when I plugged in my new iPhone to my computer, all my music, info, pictures, etc was uploaded from the last time I had synced my old iPhone that was stolen. I'm happy I didn't lose everything, but I also had purchased at least $30 in music on my old iPhone (NOT through the computer, just off my device) since that last sync. So my problem is, my iTunes account completely realizes I've purchased all that music but it is NO where in my purchased library on my computer or new iPhone (so the whole "just right-click and transfer you purchases" gimmick is a no-go). And when I go to the individual songs I'd bought to try and get them back, all it says is I've already bought the song but won't tell me the NO MAN'S LAND that these songs are hiding in!!
I've looked up a bunch of threads and am still unsuccessful. I know that I should be able to get these purchases back onto my new iPhone and my authorized computer but I just have no idea how. It is becoming increasingly frustrating and I realllly do not want to spend another $30 on stuff I've already bought so anything would be helpful at this point.
    Thanks,
    Olivia

This was EXACTLY what I needed about the purchases I made from my device. However, is there a way to re-download other ones you've made from a computer? Because I realized some of them were not just purchased from my device.
This is a picture of what it looks like now:
    http://tinypic.com/r/107quxu/7
As you can see, the stuff circled in red doesn't give me an option to download from Cloud Beta because it already says "downloaded".
any way to get around that?

  • My Macbook Pro was stolen, and I have replaced it with a Macbook Air. New hard drive is too small for a Time Machine restore. How do I restore my more-expensive apps (ie iWorks) on my new Macbook without repurchasing them?

My Macbook Pro was recently stolen, and I have replaced it with a Macbook Air. I attempted to simply do a restore from the Macbook Pro's Time Machine backup, but since the new Macbook Air's hard drive is significantly smaller, a Time Machine restore was not possible. I even tried to choose only settings or only my User Profile (option) when restoring, but the backup was still too large to do a restore onto the new machine. How do I restore my more-expensive apps (ie iWorks) onto my new Macbook without repurchasing them? Also, I reaad somewhere that if you went to the Mac App Store and attempted to repurchase the app and clicked BUY, it would simply alert you that you have already purchased the app (and trigger a re-download)... NOT THE CASE... So I just dropped another $19.99 for a second copy of Pages... Not my intention....
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    LM

you should get a usb backup drive as well.  time machine has limited use in my eyes. it saves things. but older things can be errased ad space drops without telling you
nothing beats data redundancy.  2 saves is. 1.    and 1 is none
im personally not fond of time machne though i use it only for a recovery parameter for a mac
id never ever myself consider time machine a genuine data backup tool.  though most do consider it as such
drive clones such as superduper and carbon copy cloner can clone your entire drive for emergency recovery.  and you can boot from them as well o. another mac

  • HT1727 My laptop was stolen and now I can't get my library back.

My laptop was stolen six months ago, and I just reinstalled iTunes on a new PC.  I tried to login with my original username and password and got an error message, so I had to change my username and password.  Now when I login, my libraries are empty.  How can I get them back?  Thanks.

Of course they are empty.  Logging into iTunes has NEVER caused content to magically appear.
Use the backup of your computer to put everything back.
If your backup was also stolen, or for some foolish reason you never created a backup, it is possible to download past iTunes purchases.

  • HT1329 My laptop was stolen and I am trying to transfer the music from my iPad

I want to transfer the music from my iPad, most of which is not purchased from iTunes, to the new computer (PC) but getting a message stating that the device is syched to another computer.  Anyway to make my new computer the home computer and transfer the non-iTunes music without erasing the content of the iPad?

iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848 - only media purchased from iTunes Store
Sync transfer is one way, computer to device, matching the device content to the content on the computer (except purchased content as mentioned above).  For transferring other items from an i-device to a computer you have to use third party commercial software. Examples (check the web for others; this is not an exhaustive listing, nor do I have any idea if they are any good):
    - Senuti - http://www.fadingred.com/senuti/

Syncing to a "New" Computer or replacing a "crashed" Hard Drive - https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141
Do not regard your i-device as a reliable unique storage for your media. It is not a backup device and everything is structured around you maintaining a backup of your media on a computer backup.

  • My iphone was stolen and then returned months later after I already got a new iphone the old iphone is disabled I sold it on eBay and don't have a computer to enable it will Genius Bar fix my phone and at what cost

My iphone was returned to me and its disabled because I reported it stolen months ago. Will Genius Bar enable it so I can sell it on eBay seeing as I already got a new one?? I don't have a computer to connect to iTunes. Will they charge me?

Genius bar appointments are free. To remove the passcode on a disabled iPhone requires forcing the phone into recovery mode & restoring it, using iTunes on a computer. Whether the genius bart will do this for you is a good question. I suspect if you can prove the phone is yours, there shouldn't be any issues. Only one way to find out, & that's to make an appointment.
    Good luck.

  • My iPod was stolen and I am going to get another one, if I used the same email I used for the first one, will the updates I get on my new one still go to my old one? Like messages and email and stuff?

I don't want the person to be able to hack into the iPod past the lock sreen and be able to read my new messages. Is there anyway to stop this?

Im pretty sure that if they want to update the stolen ipod that they need the apple id password, but with the mail it just updates new mail by its self.  Hope that helps

  • What I need to do to Don't lose my iPhone's information if my lap top was stolen and I try to sync mi iPhone again with other new lap top?

Hi there, please help me with this matter!

    Was your laptop stolen?
You should have had everything backed up
You can only sync with one computer
For purchases you can reload through iTunes, if you're in the US
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519
Or you can transfer purchases from the phone
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1848
Otherwise you will have to find a 3rd party app

  • TS3376 My laptop was stolen, and I'm trying to lock it remotely, but I don't remember my password. How can I retrieve it?

The question says it all. I need to retrieve my password, but it is 6 numbers. My password for my mac and my apple ID would not work and I don't remember setting a password.

Without the computer you cannot retrieve or reset your admin password. The password for your Apple ID is something you set. You can reset that password, but you will need some computer to do that.
