My old sync account is not working on "forgot my password link", how do i recover my account?

2 mins ago i reset my fire fox because i had some useless Add-ons on my fire fox, before reset i had my sync account on fire fox 34 v. after reset now i can't use my account because i forgot my password, i used this link: https://account.services.mozilla.com/forgot to recover my password but every time pop up this error: "Unable to locate your account. Please check your username."
so how do i recover my password?
additional info: i used my email inbox to find my account name and password, i found an email subject: "verify your account" i clicked on [Verify] and fire fox sent me from this address: [email protected] , >>Please confirm your firefox help question!

Thank your for your question. I understand that you are trying to recover your sync account to sync back data after a Firefox reset. The old data should also be recoverable in a folder on the desktop called "Old Firefox Data" however since you are on an older version of Firefox it might not.
You need a recovery key in order to restore data from the old account, and since the account is not recognized it may not be there.
If it is, please consider:
#updating to Firefox 35.0.1, the latest version of Firefox.

That looks like a JSON bookmarks backup file, from 11-01-2012. Did you try '''restoring''' that file?

Never messed with JSON files other than viewing them on a few occasions out of curiosity. There are no line breaks which make them very difficult to read.
As far as working with that file in {like} NotePad goes:
A. use Find / Search for each indecent of a '''"uri"''' string, then "copy and paste" the uri into another text file, and then move on to the next "uri" string.
B. use a text program where a filter can be set for the "uri" field in the JSON file for a line break or to "scrape out" the "uri"s only for display or export to a list of uri's.
Or try using an online JSON editor like this, to try to display only the "uri" field.

Disaster step by step:
1. Run old Firefox 28, using a separate profile named "Firefox 28", and log in to my old sync account (the one used on Firefox 28). In the old sync account i have saved tons of useful bookmarks and data. Got a device name "Admin's Firefox on HP-Laptop".
2. Check all my old bookmarks and they are fine. Stupid of me i didn't make a backup at that point.
3. Run new Firefox 34.0.5, using a separate profile named "default", and log in to my new sync account (the one used on Firefox 29 and on). In the new sync account i have saved a few bookmarks only. Got a device name "Admin's Firefox on HP-Laptop" again. Stupid of me i didn't pick another name. Didn't imagine what was about to happen.
4. What happened: All of my precious data which was stored on the old sync account got replaced by the few bookmarks of the new sync account. And by replaced i mean replaced ON THE SYNC SERVER. Now the old sync server has the very little data of the new sync account and i have lost all my precious data!!!
That little bug of Firefox cost me all of my data on the server.
People, please help me find a solution to recover my data that was stored on the old sync server and got replaced. I have no backup of the lost bookmarks nor backup of a profile that contains them.
P.S.: I used the default setting to sync, which was to merge data.
P.S.2: I don't maintain a personal old Firefox Sync server.
Who is the administrator of the old sync server maintained by Mozilla? Does he keep image backup? Maybe he could extract my data from an image backup. A pre-today date would be fine!Hi,
Unfortunately Sync does not backup. However in Windows 7 you can right click on the profile folder and select to restore to a previous version.

Now that I have updated to 29.0, I cannot use my old sync account on a new computer. I had to create a new account with my email address and it is now empty.
How do I get back my favourites in this new account ?

What is "wrong" with your Apple ID?
Try the following:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod. -

I have a new mac book pro (sept 2014) and am suddenly stuck on the log-in screen. Keyboard input is not working to enter my password. Seems to be a log in issue as keyboard works for forced troubleshooting. (And b/c when I first noticed the problem, I was able to enter my log in password but then everything sort of froze. Now, no ability to enter the password.) Already tried a basic restart and a cmmnd/ cntrl/ pwr troubleshoot to no effect.

Installed Windows 8 on a late 2011 MacBook Air and was working fine now keyboard not working so cannot enter password? Caplocks key works but I am locked out on my own PC and cannot seem to get it to recognize built in keyboard,bluetooth,generic USB one.
Use the trackpad to scroll, thats what it was designed for. The scroll bars automatically disappear when not being used and will appear if you scroll up or down using the trackpad.
This is a user-to-user forum and most people will post on here if they have problems. You very rarely get people posting to say there update went smooth. The fact is the vast majority of Mountain Lion users will not be experiencing any major problems with the OS, or maybe with apps which are not compatible, but thats hardly Apple's fault if developers don't update their apps. -
