My online banking doesn't support 4.0b10. How do I go back to 3.6?

I would like to deinstall 4.0b10. Apparently this is a beta browser which is unsupported by my online banking account. I was doing fine with 3.6, so how do I get it back

On other platforms you can have multiple Firefox versions installed, having both the 3.6.x and 4 beta is no problem. I don't know if that is possible on Mac.
If you do not have the Firefox 3.6.x version anymore then download the full version of 3.6.13 from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html
Drag the 4.0 beta version to the trash and install the 3.6.13 version.<br />
If you have problems with your [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] then you will have to create a new profile (recommended anyway if you downgrade).

You could try a third-party browser app such as Skyfire, iSwifter, Puffin and Photon which 'work' on some sites, but judging by their reviews not all sites. Also some websites, especially news sites, have their own apps in the App Store.

you don't need to install cs5 in order to install your cs6 upgrade.
after you start the installation of cs6 you will be prompted for your cs6 serial number. the installer will recognize that is an upgrade serial number and search your system for your cs5. failing to find that it will prompt you for your cs5 serial number. after entering that, installation will proceed.
if you wanted to install both cs5 and cs6, you can:

and activate with your serial number.
if you have a problem starting the download, you didn't follow all 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.

XSU doesn't support bind variables - how dumb is that?

I am using XSU to generate XML from a SQL statement using class OracleXMLQuery. Either I am blind or stupid or there is no support for bind variables in this class! I have used DBMS_xmlquery in PL/SQL before and this does support bind variables, I naturally assumed the Java equivalent would also have this. The lack of bind variable support means a huge performance hit as every single SQL statement will be treated as unique and will require hard parsing on the server!
Is there another Java XML utility I can use for generating XML from a SQL statement that does support bind variables? I have trawled through the Oracle documentation and I am getting very confused and lost.

Firefox alerted me that an update was available. I allowed firefox to install it. Firefox now has EVERY web site "Untrusted" and will not allow me to go there, not even to Microsoft's support page. How do I roll back to the previous version of Firefox?

The problem began as soon as I allowed Firefox to install the latest update.
I want to UNINSTALL the latest update and roll the product back to the previous version that was working.

Thats because the old installed version of googletoolbar has a file named install.rdf that declares the max supported version of firefox to be 4.0.
To fix this ,just open the install.rdf file with notepad and change maxVersion from 4.0.* to 6.* (see the image i've also uploaded)
Now, in order to find the correct install.rdf file do the following:
Go to folder : C:\Users\[your user name here]\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\[sometext].default and search for the install.rdf file (im using windows 7)
Windows search will find many install.rdf files (one for each addon you have installed on firefox) so make sure that you find the install.rdf that has the line
Google Toolbar for Firefox
in it. For this install.rdf file just rename the max version as stated above , restart firefox..and vuala! Google toolbar is back!

Hi there, I'm experiencing a weird behavior: when checking my online banking website in Safari a few letters (accented, such as á, é, í, ó, ú lower- and uppercase) don't display properly.
Much to my regret I have to report that, whenever my online banking doesn't behave as expected, I have to log off in Safari and log back on in Chrome. It really bothers me to have to turn to Chrome.
Please be so kind to take a look at the screenshots posted — I do hope somebody to enlighten me as to why this is happening and what is it that I need to do to fix this bug. Thanks in advance.
Needless to say, the words in red are perfectly displayed in Chrome unlike Safari.

Genius!!!
1) I changed the setting and now the letters display properly.
2) There was something I couldn't do within my bank's website (transfers to third parties) and now I can. It must have had to do with the same problem
3) My bank's been advertising that they'll be revamping their website to version 2.0. Hope none of this shows up when they do.
One additional question though, changing this setting... will it have any implication? Will I now see the majority of things wrongly displayed, just to see this one website display right?

It is an automatic backup. It makes backups without you having to remember to do them. To turn on Time Machine, just plug in an external hard drive and say "Yes" when it asks if you want to use it with Time Machine.
