Hello from the Netherlands,
Yesterday i bought an online number for skype. I was able to choose from several telephone numbers. I choosed one. I payed etc. Also in my account overview under online number you can see the number i choosed.
When I call this number to test it. Someone else answers the telephone and he told me that's his number that i have in use.
How can I solve this problem?
How can i change my online number?

Welcome to the Apple community.
Once three iCloud accounts have been created on any iOS device, it can you no longer be used to create any more accounts, regardless of what you do to it. You will need to use a computer or another iOS device to create your account and then use the details to log into your account on your phone.

Unfortunately Skype doesn't offer a phone support.
And I'm sorry to inform you that transferring Skype producto from one account to another is not possible.
What you can do is to try requesting a refund from Customer Service and puchase a new number on other account (you will not be able to buy the same number, as it will be reserved for your first account for 90 days).
At this point I cannot guarantee that you will receive a refund.
Customer Service will inform you if you are eligible for that.

I have 2 skype accounts and purchased my Korean number on the wrong account. Can I switch it to my other account? Or cancel the transaction and redo it on the other account?

I'm already using an online number for my account. I'd like to use a second online number for a home business that I'm starting. How will that work having 2 online numbers on the same account? When Skype rings, will it tell me which number was dialed? How do I switch between the two when making outbound calls?

You can have up to 10 Online Numbers on a single Skype account.
When you receive an incoming call to your Skype program or app, the program/app won't tell you which Online Number received the call. It will either show you the Caller ID number of the phone calling you (if that information is available), or you'll see a Skype name if the call was made directly to your Skype account name.
Online Numbers do nothing for making phone calls from Skype, except that some can be used as Caller ID when you call telephones from your Skype account. You would still need to purchase Skype Credit or a subscription in order to call telephones. Depending on where your Online Numbers are from, you can choose to use them as your Caller ID when calling telephones. Not all Online Numbers can be used this way. You can choose to use a single number for Caller ID when calling all telephones, or - if your numbers are in different countries - you can use certain numbers when calling certain destinations. For example, I have numbers from the US and the UK that can be used as Caller ID. When calling UK phones, my UK number is used as the Caller ID number. When calling anywhere else, I use my US number. You can log into your Skype account through this web site and make changes to the Caller ID settings.
If you don't want to make changes to your Caller ID settings all the time when calling telephones, to have different numbers show up on the phones you call, one option may be to use separate Skype accounts for each Online Number. This would mean that, for calling telephones, you would have to purchase Skype Credit or a subscription for each of those accounts. But you would be able to have some idea where the calls are coming from, and you can control what shows up as Caller ID easier if you use each account for different purposes.

Previously taken Online Number availability

A couple of years I registered an online number with my subscription which I used for my business but for some reason all three of my numbers disappeared at some point and with them the number that I had used in a few hundred business cards as well.
When I tried to get the number back it was coming up as unavailable in the search. I called Skype support and was told that it wasn't up to Skype when the number would become available again and was given a very vague 6 months, a year... who knows kind of answer. I was told to keep on checking and that it would become available at some point.
I have been checking since and although the number is still unreachable it is also not available either. I reckon it must be well over a year by now.
Is there any way to retrieve that number and finally get it again?
Also, will there ever be more cities/towns added to the online numbers here in the UK? As a business it would be really helpful to have a local number rather than a city/town 50 miles away!

Transfer expired skype online number

Hi , my skype online number will expires at the end of this month and I want to transfer/assign the number into another skype account.
From what I understood here, its not possible to transfer online number from one account to another and I will have to wait until it expires then I can buy it again using my other skype account.
My question is : Should I wait until the online number subscription expires then buy it again through my other Skype account or is there away around this situation ?
And how can I buy it again using my other Skype account without waiting for 90 days after the number expire/deactivate which is the period of time needed for the number to go back again to the available Skype online numbers pool .

you cannot transfer a Skype Number from one account to another . . . period
when the number expires it is held for you for 90 days in case you wish to reactivate it -- if an when you reactivate it during this period it will still be associated with the original Skype Name
if the 90 days expires before you reactivate the number, then the number will be made available to ANYONE that happens to choose it (and that almost certainly WON'T be you)

According to our records, a charge for your online number has been refused, so you do not have any active number on your account.
But normally can see online number on your account's page.
After you log in to your account on: www.skype.com you will see in under "online number" tab.

Go to your account and you will see the call forward button, clicl on the button, and a window will come up to set your number you want to forward to,

Online number ... looks like cross-over happening ...

I have a UK online number and since setting it up a few weeks ago I have received calls on the UK online number from South Africa. When I answered some calls they said they were calling some company in Durban, South Africa.
It has happened both a number of times and regularly so i suspect that there may be a cross-over in the mapping of online numbers.... anyone else getting something like this? is it possible?

How can I cancel an online number reservation?

I can't seem to find an option to cancel a reserved online number in my account. I was just checking my options but no intention to purchase at the moment. How can I remove that reserved number showing up in my account? Please help. Thank you.

RTX 4088 not ringing when called using online numb...

I have read a lot of posts some with solutions( that don't work) and others stating that this is a known skype issue.
Firstly i have just bought my second cordless phone, RTX 4088, nice phone but wont ring when anyone rings me on my online number. This is hit and miss, works some days others not. Actually doesn't work most of the time.
I had a long chat with skype support and did as a another post suggested deleted an xml file, changed some settings and sat about for 5 minutes, this didn't work.
I did get it to work by doing a full reset on the phone, this fixed it temporarily. 15minutes later.
RTX support is useless, they said contact skype and skype said contact them....
I am pissed at skype over this, no public notice that this is a bug and no real solution. Online numbers are pointless if your phone wont ring when someone calls. You may as well buy a €6 corded phone and leave your computer on because thats the only calls i can receive. Dont spend th €90 euro for a fancy phone that just answers skype to skype calls.
Skype please fix this bug and stop giving us the run around.....
