My Oracle Forums Handle Name Changed without my notice!!!

Hello Oracle Forums Moderators,
I joined Oracle Forums 04/04/08 with and email address (1). I decided to change my email address and handle names, so my forums handle name is cutedba and my email address is (2). I already had like 8 posts in oracle forums. Today when I logged to oracle forums I found my handle name is user8722709 and my posts resets to only one post (with this thread, it will become two posts).
and my joining date became 08/19/09.
I went to the control panel and edited the profile and handle name to cutedba. I received the following message:
"The handle you are trying to update is already being used, please identify any other value and retry."
and I logged as my new email address (2) as usual. Please fix this for me. Because I am the cutedba in Oracle Forums.
I also want to mark one of the threads I created earlier as answered but I can't the forum thinks I am not the author of that thread:

Ok, let's see if I understand this clearly (cos if I don't then I'm sure the site admin won't)...
1. You created an account (let's call it "Account 1")...
Acount 1:-
Email Address: [email protected]
Forum Notifications Email: [email protected]
Handle: {default}
2. You created a second account (let's call it "Account 2")...
Account 2:-
Email Address: [email protected]
Forum Notifications Email: [email protected]
Handle: {default}
3. You modifed Account 1 to change the Forum Notifications Email and the handle:
Account 1:-
Email Address: [email protected]
Forum Notifications Email: [email protected]
Handle: cutedba

all my forum participation were updated including post numbers.
What was updated? All you did was change your notification email and your handle on Account 1?You are right.
I also successfully login using email id (B) with the password, no issues.Yes, I dedicated an email account for oracle stuff and I used it to create an oracle account (Account B) because I couldn't delete/disable Account A from oracle.

5/ when I visited back Oracle Forums Today, I saw that my post count reset to 1 (last reply) and the system identified me as a different user (user8722709) than cutedba. I went to the Control Panel and Modified the Name Handle for forums back to cutedba . I received the message mentioned earlier.Which account did you log on as?Account B
It seams that Oracle forums end me up with two identities!!But you created two, so there will be two. ?:|Because oracle will not delete/disable account A

One more thing, I logged in to oracle forums using email (A) and my profile cutedba is there.Brilliant, that's what I'd expect.
I went to the Control panel and found the Username is still with email (A) but the forums email is with email and (B).Exactly, that's also what I'd expect.
But why still the the username did not changed and my profile is not updated yet?On which account?Account A
Occasionally, if OTN have been doing upgrades or such things, I believe the forums will move across to the failover servers, so sometimes changes to profiles may not be picked up or transferred back to the main servers. However, you said you'd logged in with Account 1 and it said cutedba on it.
I think it is the same bug in the forums.
I feel this too.
I wish if OTN has the ability to allow users to delete account that are no longer necessary, like my case here. Account A is no longer necessary for me but if switched the handle names between account A and B, I still can't get the credits and links for Account B profile.
How to report OTN bugs?

After changing my email, handle name on my old posts were changed to "974972" and all those old posts are not listed under my new accounts/handle name any more.
New posts work fine. Any help would be appreciated!

Help! DNS name changed without warning!

Hi all,
I have been trying to get my VPN to work recently to no avail. I decided to change my router's IP address 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.3.1 as I read that this may cause issues when connecting to a VPN. However, when I checked on Server Admin, I noticed that my DNS had changed from a .com to a .local.
Is there anyway to revert the DNS back to the original name?

If I understand correctly...
You force powered down the Mac with the power button, and then turned it back on again, and your wife could log in to her account without entering a password - is that correct?
It sounds like somehow her password got changed to a blank one. I've never heard of a bug that could cause this - are you sure that either of you didn't change the password to a blank one?
PS any administator's username and password can also be used to unlock another user's screen - if it happens again you can use the password of your own admin account.

Bill went up drastically, for no reason, without any notice??

I just noticed on my credit card statement that I'm being charged $67 per month just for internet. When I signed up, it was $30 - an intro rate, of course. When this expired, the rate was $45 a month and I was happy to pay that. Now I'm seeing that I've been paying $67 for months and months... I don't even know how long, since I haven't looked at all my past credit card bills yet. How could the price change without any notice??? Has this happened to anyone else? I'm seeing that Centurylink is $30 a month for a year, and the normal rate is even lower than I'm paying now for Xfinity! I'm going to have to switch if I don't get this problem resolved.

Please review the terms of your Comcast agreement. Many agreements include scheduled price increases, and typically state that prices will return to the prevailing (almost always higher) rates when the agreement expires.

Comcast sometimes responds to questions here in the forums, and sometimes they do not. When they do the typical response time is somewhere between a few hours and a few days.

How to keep your forum Userid when changing Oracle SSO accounts?

I have one SSO account which is linked to my forum user TimW. Does anyone know how I can move this forum account to another Oracle SSO account without changing the forum handle or losing any of the post history?

Thanks for the advice. But I already have another SSO account. The old one is linked to my account in this forum and the new one is linked to all sorts of other stuff, like MoS etc! I can't change the name of the old SSO account as the system says the new address already exisits. I guess my only options are a) to delete the new account and then change the old one, or b) stick with both accounts. Unless you have any other suggestions ....

Application is not working when changing of oracle server domain name

We decided to change oracle server domain name due to some reason .. we changed the domain name but application running on the other server cannot connect to this domain i don't know whats the problem . I change the enterprise manager ( emca -config dbcontrol db -repos recreate_) according to the new domain but some of the future not working like date,etc. can anyone help me how to rectify it plz.

Handling table name changes

Hi,
Because of a change in naming convention, all our source table names are changing (only the prefix: The rest of the name and the table structures will remain the same). We already have developed a significant number of OWB mappings based on the old naming convention. What is the OWB equivalent of doing a global search replace of table names ? Is there a script available for doing this ?

The name changing part should be relatively simple to handle. I have included a script that should do the renaming with the prefix 'WH_'. The reconcile will have to be done by you. The script should go something like this (please test your scripts in a test environment as I will not provide support for this).

Perhaps a Name Change to 'BI in SAP NW2004s' Forum?

Now that SAP is referring to this BI 7.0, perhaps we could get a forum name change, e.g.
<b>BI in SAP NW 7.0 (2004s) </b>
This is how it is being referred to by SAP most of the time now and changing the forum name might help avoid confusion for any new folks that don't know about the 2004s history.

We could reduce the number of postings in another forum by changing the name from Exchange Infrastructure to Process Integration - in line with NW04s!
That'd confuse them!

Change my forum user name

Is it possible to change my forum user name?

It's not a big deal and I don't want to make it so. It's just that it would be nice if there were something in place to deal with situations like mine. I have a MobileMe account now that I have a Mac. There is no way to associate my MobileMe .ME email address with my current profile, and I would like to reconcile that email with my user ID. So, the logic goes, if I could change the user ID associated with my non-MobileMe email, then that would free up my current (and preferred) user ID to be usable with my MobileMe email address.
Like I say, I'm not trying to make a big deal out of it, but it would be nice if Apple would make some provision to link a MobileMe email with an existing user ID instead of throwing up a brick wall between the two, thus forcing a new MobileMe user (and presumably a new Mac users) from having to choose between continuing to use their established (and presumably preferred) user ID and having to create a new user ID in the forums simply to be able to use their new MobileMe email address.

If you don't need your old custom template, save your changes with the same template name. It will tell you that this template exists and will ask you Replace? Say yes (if you do want to replace the old with the new!)
To delete unwanted templates, go to Finder > Menu > Go and press the option key. Your Library will show in the Go Menu. Navigate to Library > Application Support > iWork > Numbers > Templates > My Templates.
Delete any unwanted template by dragging it to the Trash or click on it then command-delete.
Having gone to all that trouble to find My Templates folder, right click (or control click) on it and Make Alias. Drag the Alias to any convenient place for a quick way to get back to that folder.

Has this Forum name changed to CS5?

Has this Forum name changed to CS5 ....today, recently, a long time ago?
No big deal ...just noticed it and got myself lost for a moment? (My bookmark says Adobe CS4 Forum)
At my age I have to keep testing myself for onslaught of memory loss and senility!

It seems that now that CS5 is "done and out" there are several Adobe employees who have started posting in the last week or so
One of them (check the lounge) is doing some housekeeping on the forum structure
I, for one, like the changes... CS5 SHOULD be in a place of its own, since it is 64bit and has MPE so the questions are going to be different (well... some of them, at least)

How Discoverer Reports cope with table name changes

I want to change the name of an oracle table that is queried by a number of Discoverer reports owned by various users.
I have been told that Discoverer might have the smarts to handle this without manual intervention of users having to open their reports and repoint them to the new tablename. Would someone be able to enlighten me?

Additionally I'd like to add for the purpose of the name change is business driven and therefore it is important that business (report writers) see the new name so.....
For each simple folder in the EUL there are there 3 attributes you need to be aware of:
(1) Folder Name (the name as seen in Discoverer)
(2) Identifier
(3) Physical Database Object name
(1) and (2) are used by a Disco workbook to resolve back to the physical object name.
Therefore, you can change either (1) or (2) [but not both] and still have the workbook resolving back to the physical object name on the folder (ie (3)).
In summation, I changed (1) and (3) while leaving (2) unchanged to resolve the whole glorious mess....

I have found for error I get in Directprint this following:
When you migrate to the latest Forms version (10.1.2.3 or 11) and try using a JavaBean created with an older Forms version, you can get the following error, at runtime, in the Java Console:
Exception in thread "thread applet-oracle.forms.engine.Main-1" java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: oracle.forms.handler.IHandler.getApplet()Ljava/applet/Applet
The reason is you try to use a Java Bean compiled with an older Forms JAR file, like f90all.jar.
So, to correct the issue, you have to change the Java code then re-create the JAR file:

Replace:
formsMain = (Main) handler.getApplet();
by:
