My organizer wont burn cds

i recently reinstalled the audigy 2 value software but now the organizer wint burn my cd.it says no supported cd recording device is found.how do i fix this?

Error 4280-- wont burn CDs

I've been trying to burn CDs since getting the new iTunes 7 and after i press burn CD, it will look like it's working until it starts to burn the first song on the playlist, and it simply says "Canceling Burn Disk this may take a minute or two" and then it spits the CD out and says "unknown error 4280". Any idea what that means or how I can fix it??

Wont burn cds

can you please help me!! itunes is driving my crazy!! cds would burn fine, but all of a sudden its coming up with this "the attempt to burn a disc failed. an unknown error occurred 4450", i have adjusted the burning speed and used different cds but that doesnt help atall. what can i do to fix it?

I had a similar issue with an error 4000 and ended up
deinstalling my burning software (Sonic). Was then
able to burn from iTunes. Have not installed any
burning software yet to see if the problem with still
exsists with iTunes.
I was having a problem burning--kept getting error messages halfway through the burn--different messages--sometimes 4000 and sometimes 4261. The last time I tried to burn a CD I noticed that I had some unchecked songs in my burn playlist. I also figured out that the error would occur shortly after it encountered the first unchecked song. I again tried to burn the playlist removing the unchecked songs and it burned with no errors.

Cd dvd-r drive, wont burn cds anymore

i have been using my sony dvd rw dw-u10a drive, i have not changed the type of disks i am using but now when i try to burn any type of disk, audio or data, i get an error 3, any ideas? also any ideas where i can find the driver for this, i cant find anything on here, any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know why it would start giving you trouble all of a sudden.
But, I have seen quality changes in media that could affect that. So, I would try some different disks.
For example, I had one brand of disks that worked 100% reliably for me for a long time.
Then, half a box (50-pack) wouldn't burn at all. But, then some other disks from the same box burned fine.
So, you could still benefit from trying another brand or batch of disks.
As for a driver, I have installed this one:
http://www.patchburn.de/
It will install the appropriate driver for your burner and enable full support.
I have found it to work great for me, and enabled external burners to work that wouldn't work before.
So, give that a try as well.

Thanks for trying Toonz, but unfortunately no success yet. I updated my driver but still get an error message. The interesting thing is I have windows XP (not Windows 2000), so I unchecked a box someone else suggested that I try to check. Here are my latest diagnostics:

CDs wont burn!

I am having problems burning CDs. After this new update now i get and error message saying "the attempt to burn disc failed. The device failed to respond properly, unable to recover or re-try". I have had my mac for almost 4 years and have never had problems burning CDs until the new iTunes and new Mac update. Please help!

Try if switching any of those additional settings (play music while ... etc.) has an effect.
Other people having an similar problem have "solved" it by dragging the music titles from the windows explorer into iTunes.
One more thing: you might find the answer in the "Importing/Burning" forum

Wont let me burn cds

I have vista and everytime i open itunes i get an error:
"warning!
Itunes was not properly installed.If you wish to import or burn cds you need to reinstall itunes"

I have the same problem. At first, it just said that my computer's drive was not working correctly, which it wasnt. No program could burn anything. so I contacted Toshiba, the manufacturer of my computer, and they tel me to delete the upper and lower filters of my driver. I do so, and itunes still does not work. Therefore, I uninstall and reinstall itunes, as it says to do, and it says my problem is that there are no upper and lowerfilters on my drive, that itunes apparently installed, and somehow needed these deleted registery files from my driver to burn. Now, this wouldn't be a problem, except the other programs i can use to burn a cd are not recognising some of the files from the itunes store that I am trying to put onto this CD.

ITunes 9.0.1 not burning CDs

I recently downloaded iTunes 9.0.1 and every time I open it, it displays n error saying that the registry for importing and burning CDs is missing, it imports fine, but it wont burn. I've been using 4x speed as this is the fastest setting the CD (Sony CD-RW) can take. I've tried other CDS and they didn't work either. I can't use windows media player because the songs were bought from iTunes.

I would suggest manually removing and installing the Gear drivers:(Taken from the Gear Drivers support site)
Select Run... in the START menu, and type in regedit
This will start up the Registry Editor.
Delete the following key from the registry:
HKEYLOCALMACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\GearAspiWDM
If present, delete the following key from the registry:
HKEYLOCALMACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\GEARSecurity

ITunes Medium Error note When Attempting to Burn Cds.

Ive had no trouble with iTunes till now.
I keep getting an error message saying the burn could not be completed because of medium write error.
is this just my cds. even tho ive tried several types? or something worse like my drive is dead?
it still rips and plays cds. It just wont burn them onto blanks....

...in my experience, anytime it says media or medium, they are referring to the blanks or the disk drive itself; so, yeah, I'd say that it might be your blanks or your burner's inability to use those specific blanks properly... imho, that is...

Can't burn CDs in iTunes

I can't burn CDs in iTunes. I get "The attempt to burn a disc failed. An unknown error occurred (4261). I have tried to reduce the speed - didn't work. I have never had a problem before - but after I downloaded the new version of iTunes, I can't burn. I know the burner works because I can burn using NERO. Please help!

I'm assuming you have already resolved the issue, but if you have not, I would recommend that you uninstall iTunes completely and remove anything related to Apple on your computer including Quicktime. Are these CDs? DVDs? or both?
Have you tried using a different brand of disks? Some work better than others.
Does it eject all disks or only some? Only blank disks or some that have already been made? Commercial disks or burned?

Burning Cds Not Working

i try to burn cds.
when i put a cd in my drive itunes says you have inserted a blank cd so it knows the drive is there ect.
i go to burn and it says

I'm having the same problem, i tried disabling daemon tools and re-installing itunes but it still wont work. i even restored my crappy compaq to factory settings but its still not working. i was using it to burn cds three days ago and it just stopped at one point. when i go to preferences it says no cd drive found or something, but windows, nero, and sonic can all burn. any ideas? thanks
