My OS has reset and apps arent linked to files anymore

somehow my apps and files are not linked anymore-- everytime I open an application, it asks me to register like I was opening the app for the first time-- all apps! Even my background has reset., Itunes, Safari, MSN, Office all of which I have been using with no problem for 2 years. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried the redeem option?

You can not merge accounts.
Apps are tied to the Apple ID used to download them, you can not transfer them.

Turn off the iTunes and App Store links

How do you turn off the iTunes and App Store links? I need to do it show that storeagent will stop using so much of my cpu.

Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Accounts
Select the "My Account" account, and select Login Items.
Remove iTunes helper.
When you are done troubleshooting use the Go menu to get iTunes helper back in the startup items to go to folder, and type this as the path to your folder:
/Applications/iTunes.app/Contents/Resources
There you'll find the iTunes Helper, which you can drag and drop back into the Login Items.

If you are getting an 'invalid security code' message then is the address on your iTunes account exactly the same (format and spacing etc) as on your credit card bill : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1646 ? If it is then you could try what it says at the bottom of that page :
If the issue persists, contact your credit card company and verify that they and any company they use to process credit card authorizations have the correct information on file.
And/or try contacting iTunes support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Express Lane, then iTunes > iTunes Store

Hi, Upgraded to Acrobat Pro 9 and Windows 7, and I can't merge files anymore. Acrobat Pro tries to save each file individually before it tries to combine the files. I actually get an error message with PDF files that are in my list of files to merge. Please help!

Ever thing works as it should in IE.

On code.google.com, when I compare Fx22 and IE8, the links on that page both want to save the HTML and not the actual code. In both cases, I need to go to the HTML view then right-click and save the "View Raw file" link on the right side to get the actual code file.

Regardless of being in development or not, "Captain Obvious" is is correct and the working .muse file is lost, meaning that you will have to start again from scratch.
All the BC will contain is the published HTML and support files, not the .muse file which you would require to recover the site design.
Might want to look into Time Machine or another automatic, timed backup source while you work.

My iPhone has reset and I can't restore it from the back up

I Have an iPhone 5s and someone got hold of my phone and i think they were trying the crack the passcode. They weren't successful and I think my phone has been reset. When I turn it on the only options I have are:
1) set up as a new phone
2) restore from iCloud
3) restore from iTunes
i don't have a back up to the iCloud (confirmed by Apple)
i do have a back up from February 2014 but I set up a password that I now can't remember for the life of me.
The only previous back up was in January 2013.
When I tried to restore the phone to the January 2013 back up it kept telling me to go into my iPhone and turn off the "find my iPhone" obviously I am unable to do this as the phone won't let me in until I restore it, but iTunes won't let me restore until I've turned "find my iPhone" off!
I guess this is what I'd like to be able to do:
1) get my phone back to where it was last Thursday despite no back up since February, if this isn't possible then...
2) restore it from the February back up by somehow cracking my password, is there a way around this? Apple think not, and I have the added issues of the "find my iPhone" being turned on and I can't turn it off
3) restore from the January 2013 back up, not ideal and I have the "find my iPhone" issue on iTunes.
please help, I've been without my iPhone for days now and it's so frustrating as it costs me a lot of money and I can't use it!

Password resets and apps updating...

Having had to reset my user password a number of times, not all of my apps will update. it would seem the ones that have been uploaded at the time of the current password will, but the older ones will not. Any suggestions?

changing your password wont affect whether your apps update or not. using your computer I would suggest checking to see if there any updates for your itunes itself.
Also, if any apps were purchased or downloaded using a different apple ID, it wont let you update them until you sign in with that apple id.. this is why using one apple id for everything is the best solution for multiple problems.

Help and learning center links return "file not found"

I see that you are experiencing issues with the Help & Learning Center software. I will certainly do my best to help you.
It sounds like something is blocking the full software install.
I would disable all the start up programs and temporarily turn off the Antivirus Software and any Real Time Scanning in the Antivirus Software also, to see if that is causing the issue. How to use MSCONFIG . Click on the Startup tab and click Disable all, Then click the Services tab and check Hide All Microsoft Services.
Restart the computer.
Disconnect the USB cable from the printer.
Run the uninstall from the CD.
Go start, computer, right click on the CD for the printer, left click open in a new window, double click on uninstall.
Make sure that the print spooler service is running.
Right-click Print Spooler, and then click Properties.
If the Startup type is set to Manual or Disabled, click the drop-down list, click Automatic, and then click Apply.
Under Service status, click Stop and then Start, and then click OK.
Run the installation again and don't connect the cable until prompted.
Test the printer.
Then you will have to go back and enable the Startup programs, Microsoft Services and turn the Antivirus Software back on again.
How is the printer connected? (USB/Ethernet/Wireless)
Please provide in detail the results if you are still having issues.

ITunes has renamed and moved some of my files. How can I move them back to their proper locations?

Recently, for no reason that I can explain, several of my iTunes files have been moved or their information has been changed. For example, my iTunes now lists two copies of Smoke On The Water by Deep Purple, but when I play one of them it is actually The Song Remains The Same by Led Zeppelin. This has happened to dozens of my songs. Also, several of my movie files have been listed as songs, and moved to the music folder on my computer. I tried moving them back to the movies folder, but when I opened iTunes they went back to the music folder. iTunes won't allow me to change their media kind to "movie." How do I get all of my files back where they are supposed to be, under their correct names?

I didn't mess with the iTunes Media folder previously, so I don't think that was the cause. Anyway, I manually fixed most of the songs, but I still can't figure out how to fix the movies that became listed as songs.
Here is a screenshot of what it looks like when I click on "Get Info" for one of the movies (which has ended up in the music section on iTunes):
There is no option to change the media kind to "movie" or "video" even though it is a movie and it still plays as a movie if I press play.

checked my playlist was on iTunes and it was, I then restored my iphone and sold it. I go on iTunes and my playlist isn't there, has apple deleted it because they knew I sold my phone? how can I retrieve my playlist?

Thumbnails not linked to Files anymore

Last night I was organizing my computer, deleting old documents and such. Now, as soon as I opened iPhoto it asked me to select a Library, so I found the iPhoto library icon (I had accidentally moved it into a sub folder within my pictures folder) opened the folder...Whew! What a relief, all of my photos are in iPhoto now...or so I thought. If I look at "Photos" every thumbnail is there, if I look at "Events" they are blank until you open an event then all the thumbnails are there! I used spotlight to find the actual files in my computer, and they are located in "leanna>Pictures>iPhoto Library>Data>2012>NameofEvent>filename". I must have moved the files somehow so that now the path that iPhoto is using to find them is wrong...
To summarize, I have the thumbnails and the files but they are no longer linked together. Is there anyway to relink them or should I just wipe out iPhoto and reimport? Thanks in advance for your help!

Sorry but you're not very clear to me.
Neither the thumbnails, events nor photos are missing.
Seems to directly contradict
The Events are there, but blank no thumbnails or photos showing.
If you think you've deleted something then the quick and simple solution is to restore from your back up.
