my other booklet's 3G LED is flashing when i use it, it is my second booklet...
and it cannot concent with 3G now...I have try to recover the system and reinstall the Globetotter MO40X...still flashing...how can i do?

There is not settings to change. You can only select on the preview screen where on the photos exposure (as well as focus) should be based.
What type of natural/ambient lighting is on the subject? that can affect the color balance.
Does it take OK phtos in noral light where flash is required?
You can try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store and discuss it with them

White screen flash when I use Preview to look at pics!

About a week ago my G5 Duel started flashing a white screen (like a camera flash) when I load any jpg tiff or pdf using Preview. I minimise the photo file, then load it back to full size and I get a white flash.
Its like someone is taking a screen dump of my screen every time I use the preview program... If I was on a PC I would think I was being hacked...
Any ideas?

Create a new account, name it "test" and see how your apps work in that User acct? (That will tell if your problem is systemwide or limited to your User acct.) This account is just for test, do nothing further with it.
Open System Preferences >> Accounts >> "+" make it an admin account.
If the problem is present in the test account also, then it is systemwide. In this case try repairing this with the 10.5.2 Combo Update This is a fuller install, as opposed to an incremental "delta" update so it should overwrite any files that are damaged or missing. It does not matter if you have applied it before.
Remember to Verify Disk before update and repair permissions after update from /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.
If the problem does not appear in the test account try starting in "Safe Mode" (It will take a bit more time to startup because it runs a directory check first).
If that works go to System Preferences >> Accounts >> Login Items and remove them. Boot normally and test. If there are still problems, go to ~(yourHome)/Library/Contextual Menu Items and move whatever is there to the desktop. Then do the same with /Library/Contextual Menu Items. Lastly, try moving /Users/Home)/Library/Fonts to your desktop and restarting.
Log out/in or restart, if that sorts it start putting items back one at a time until you find the culprit.

Setting text encoding for Flash when being used

Many Korean web sites use Flash, and many of them are made in
the text encoding "windows Korean"
when I use windows it shows those sites as intended because
the text encoding of flash player in windows is set to "windows
Korean"
but on my mac, I believe Flash player uses UTF-8 regardless
of my web browser setting and many Korean Flash web sites don't
work as intended.
Is there something I can do to make them show windows-Korean
encoded characters? Any suggestion appreciated. Thank you.

Ok, thank you. I gave up trying to understand html right around when the "blink" tag came out, and I just get paranoid every time I do a reinstall that I'm missing some critical part. I like the validator-- never knew about that.
Now, if you do a search on the source code for that ETToday page, somewhere far down you'll come to another section that reads:

This does appear to be properly formatted, and maybe it's there specficially for English-default browsers. However, perhaps neither Safari nor the validator are picking up this, or maybe it's referring to something else altogether?

Why is login page (to register to use this forum) and other pages displaying foreign characters (e.g., বাংলা (বাংলাদেশ) when am using English (U.S.) versions of IE6 & Opera 10.6 to contact you (as FF4 hanging computer)?

FF4 hanging badly, so used IE6 & Opera 10.63 to register with & access Mozilla support site. Some words on those pages displayed in a foreign language (Arabic script?? )-- example, বাংলা (বাংলাদেশ)
Foreign characters on initial Support registration page, were in lieu of English words asking to select UserID & Password. (Page not entirely in foreign language--only parts. Request to repeat password choice, enter email, were in English).
I registered (guessing what to enter). Went to Support page [support.mozilla.com/bn-BD/kb/ask]. Greeted by statement: "Our volunteers haven't translated this article into বাংলা (বাংলাদেশ) yet."
No idea what language that is, or why u think I can read it. Presently logged in from U.S.

That is Bengali ([http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html]). Firefox 4 no longer has the language setting in the user agent and in your case it doesn't seem to work to detect the language.
You can change the bn-BD in the link(s) to en-US on the Mozilla sites.

Bookmark icons do not load. Sometimes all, other times some. Urls work. When I use icon, as the page loads the bookmark icon loads. Only a few don't load at all.

This happens on the bookmark toolbar and the bookmark drop down menu. Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Mac Pro will not boot. Power led just flashes

When I start up, the HD spins but then the power led starts flashing at a constant rate. It also never gets to the gong. I tried everything on the support pages.

I have a first generation Time Capsule, which long ago I set the LED to flash on activity. I happen to like that setting. Alot. Lets me visually diagnose that our broadband connection has croaked (again). I just bought a 4th generation Time Capsule. The manual indicates I can set the LED to flashing, and obviously, once upon a time I knew how. I check the base station pane, where I am supposed to be able to set this. AND THERE IS NO FREAKING OPTION TO SET BLINKING. Sorry. Frustrated here.
Checked with both 6.1 and 5.6 versions of the airport utility.
So. Are the manuals full of excrement, or did Apple mess up and remove a function many of us really, really, really liked?

I have no issues..
If you are running 5.6 utility in ML.. go to manual setup and airport settings.. still works fine.
Click on options
If you do not have the option even in 5.6 utility, downgrade the firmware on the TC to 7.5.2
Then it should work.

SG 200-08 All LED lights flashing green after power failure

Thinking back, about a month ago I updated the firmware (sorry I can't check version at the moment). The switch has been working fine since then. Today I needed to move some power cables and the switch lost power. Now ALL of the LED lights are flashing green and I can't access the switch. I've tried setting a static IP on my laptop to 192.168.1.20, mask 255.255.255.0, and accessing the switch on 192.168.1.254, but there's no response. I've tried holding in the reset button for at least 30 seconds while the switch is powered on, AND while powering it on. None of that has worked. Also when I first power it on, the system LED flashes orange very quickly for a second or so, then all of the LEDS start flashing green.
What am I missing?

Its been a few months, so I don't remember the details, but I think it was a combination of using the reset button and then opening a browser to the default IP address. If you look at the screenshot I posted it has the IP address I used. I downloaded the firmware again and the webpage in the screenshot is where the router is asking me for the location of the firmware I downloaded. After it finished reloading the firmware it worked again.

Pearl 8130 red led double flash code

After connecting pearlie to macbook pro desktop dude woke up and screamed "downgrade os." I acknowledged and allowed the system to perform downgrade. Something about software only has certain amount of time before it expires. About 7 minutes into downgrade, dude yells, "cannot continue," screen turns off, led goes red and flashes sequence two on, two on over and over steady. Now I'm cut off from outside world, no phone. Chalk up another one for manmade **bleep**. At least 12 hours ago it did an "all" back up, so if I'm having to replace phone (if chances are there's no remedies on this site) I didn't lose everything. Is this Verizon's control over the phone or R.I.M's built in gotcha, buy another phone already tactics? I'm wondering...
Is there a list of error code explanations out there that I(we) can reference to fix this? If not, dumb design. Since the verizon tech's phone number is on the phone, can't reach them either.

Apple TV Status LED is Flashing

It hasn't been plugged in a couple months. Just plugged it in and the Status LED keeps flashing. First thought that it may be receiving updates, but it's been ongoing for 15+ minutes. Tried powering it down and back up again a couple of times, but same thing happens. The TV only shows a graphic of the HDMI cable hookup, no menu options...
Anyone know about other options to try, or been here before?

I can't seem to make my led light/flash work on my iphone 4

I recently purchage a flashlight app for my iphone 4 and discovered that my led light/flash was not working. In the flashlight mode I could not get the led to work. I later found out the flash in the camera mode also didnot function. I'm wondering is there a defect in the led/flash or is there a setting that I have omitted on the ipone itself. I'm going to take the phone in to the local Verision store for evaluation and possible exchange.

Unless Verizon has a special provision in this regard that ATT has never had, Apple handles all iPhone repairs and exchanges under Apple's warranty.
There is a setting when capturing photos - Automatic, On, or Off for the flash when capturing photos.
If there is no flash when set to On or Automatic in a dark setting and no change after the standard troubleshooting steps which in order are:
Power your iPhone off and on.
An iPhone reset.
Restoring your iPhone with iTunes from the backup.
Restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the backup.
Your iPhone has a hardware problem. You can call AppleCare or make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby.

Problem burning red led constantly flashes

Hi all this is my first post in this forum....( NEWBIE )
as mentioned in subject Problem burning red led constantly flashes then I recieve a message " error reading data"
the dvd burner is a MSI ms 8404a. using Nero6 and princo DVD -R Win XP-PRO
I have had no problems in the past burning with this media and I'm halfway through a stack of 50...
I dont have any other media here atmo so any help would be great..
Also upgraded firmware with msilive although it said I had the current version..

Im sure as that when I used to burn DVD's the red led was solid not flashing....H E L P ....!

I don't understand why the light would be solid and not flashing when burning.
If this is a common problem, it's a problem for me because i'm about to order two MSI DR16-B DVD-RW drives, tell me, is this the drive you have in your system? The one with the problem?

The previous post is correct, make sure that your Operating System hasn't put the drive into PIO mode, it should be UDMA Mode 2 at least.

LED on new Bold 9700 not flashing when email was received

I bought a new Bold 9700 from AT&T. The LED is set to flash when I receive Hotmail emails. I woke up this morning and nothing was flashing. I had several unread emails. Is there a time limit for which the LED blinks or some setting that needs to be changed?
Just so you know the test messages I sent previously and checked right away all had the blinking LED. Does it time out after a certain amount of time (such as overnight?)?

you can find third party applications that can modify the behavior of the LED, especially the blinking. For example ColorID or BeBuzz or BerryBuzz.
