My other shared computers in my network don't show up the side panel when saving or opening in Illustrator after upgrading to OS X 10.10

When trying to save a file to the computer I use for printing, the entire "Shared" section does NOT show up on my side panel. If I open up a Finder window, they are there and I have no issues accessing them. I just can't get them to appear to select them inside of Illustrator.

Understood, but that's not the issue here, the "shared" section disappears from open/save dialog boxes within the Adobe applications.
I've been testing this with Mavericks and so far have been unable to reproduce the issue, I think this is a Yosemite exclusive issue.
61446 - I'll let you know the final results of our testing, but it looks like downgrading to Mavericks may be the solution here.

Can't see other sharing computers in network

I have this issue with a Macbook Air running Mountain Lion, that it can't show any other sharing computers in the network except another Macbook when using wireless network. I have the following setting:
Firewall is off
SMB file sharing is on
Workgroup is set to WORKGROUP in WINS tab
Location has been saved rather than Automatic
Other computers (that are sharing) can be connected using the tool opened using Cmd+K
Seems to be able to see the other computers some times when connecting using Ethernet
I have relaunched Finder and restarted the laptop, nothing is making the sharing computers show up.
The problem occurs to this laptop only. My laptop, a Macbook Pro running Snow Leopard, have no problem finding these computers in the same wireless setup.

I figured it out awhile back. There was a glitch and when I upgraded to the next version (From when I posted this message), my other hard drive reappeared in the network.

IMac is no longer finding my shared MBP or other shared computers.

I got a new iMac (Mountain Lion) for Christmas 2012 and when I turned on my old MBP and allowed sharing, the MBP showed up immediately in the connected servers (Finder sidebar). I turned off my computers a few days ago and now I cannot see either computer or the other shared computers in my household that also used to show. I've checked the Wifi settings and they match as well as being on the same network and no changes have been made to our network (router). Ive also tried rebooting both computers with no luck. I'm stuck and can only print via printer sharing and need it for teaching. Please help! Thanks!

Oh yes, & 5 GHz doesn't do walls very well at all.

No no, if you read what I said, it would be that each individual display would be customizable to the user. The way you have it, it sounds like your second display will be dedicated to scrolling through fullscreen apps not allowing you to do it on the home screen. This is silly because with my concept, you could do that, by dragging apps to fullscreen in your second display, but if you want you could tell another display to scroll through fullscreen apps (independently) if you wanted. Each display will have it's own mission control with it's own set of desktops. I also can see how some people would still want them linked together, so this could just be a little check box made in mission control prefs to "link" or "unlink" desktops with link checked by default.
With your solution you're limited to your setup. but what if the person has three or four displays? Well then your solution would limit them to one dedicated display that scrolls through fullscreen apps where mine lets a person customize their desktops depending on their preference and setup.
further example: if you have safari, address book and mail in one display, you could still have ichat, PS and Illustrator in your second, and a text editor, FTP Client and iTunes in your third. Then you would mix and match these apps but it would promote the use of mulitple displays as well as benefit people with three or more, which thunderbolt, Cinema Display and Pro computers support.

that is odd! that should not be happening.
Are you syncing your songs right off of itunes itself? because it should be syncing over to the ipod however it is listed in itunes.

It goes something like this...
Put your new drive in the enclosure. Use Disk Utility to format it, etc. I'd give it a slightly different name than the original. Let's say you have Old Disk and New Disk as your drive names. Use Carbon Copy Cloner to copy Old Disk to New Disk. Now you should have an exact copy, which you can test by rebooting and holding down the Option key. Choose New Disk from the list and let it boot, make sure all is well.
Shut down and physically swap the drives. Take Old Disk and put it in the enclosure. Now your system has a new disk with a lot more space and you can reformat your old disk and just use it for large files or whatever.

Emails that I've sent on my ipad don't show in the "sent" box. Also, I can't attach a sound to sent emails.

I have been having the same problem.
Since August 3, Mail has not received any new messages from my hotmail account. Up until August 3, Mail has been performing flawlessly for years, handling three different email accounts [two of the accounts were disabled in Mail a few months ago].
I have the "Activity" window [Window>Activity] in Mail open. The activity window clearly shows that Mail is "Preparing to retrieve messages". But nothing is retrieved. And when I go to my email via web browser, it clearly shows that I have received email messages since August 3.
And the Connection Doctor in Mail [Window>Connection Doctor] clearly shows a green light for my hotmail/Outlook account.
I have no clue what is happening.
Just for giggles, I enabled my other other email accounts. Both retrieved emails flawlessly. Maybe Hotmail/Outlook has changed some of its security settings???

How do you sync contacts with gmail, not other place on computer? I don't know where the contacts came from on that are now on my new phone. There are way too many and it is not my list of contacts I have on gmail. Where else is this from?

Audio tracks don't show up properly on sequence when enlarging timeline

On the timeline, audio tracks don't show up properly, by either appearing out of sync or by repeating itself when I enlarge it to work on it. Other sequences in the project work fine, and I've tried coping a pasting this sequence or parts of it to a new one and I still have the problem. Attached below is an example of the problem. This sequence is about 40 minutes long. Thanks for any help. Lucian

I finally figured it out. I had the parental controls restricting videos on my son's ipod. Once I changed the restrictions, the videos appeared.

Fill out a customer service request, they will respond. I had a problem with my account and Apple was very helpful.

Names don't appear in the bindings panel

If anyone could possibly answer this question I would appreciate it.
I'm in Dreamweaver CS4 on a mac pro.
When I create a URL variable or a FORM variable or a RECORD SET (query) through the bindings panel the name that should appear next to the dynamic data lightning bolt icons do not appear. There is always a dialog box asking to me to name them each time but the name that I give never shows up. This does not happen when I do it on a PC It only happens at on my mac ? So when I create multiple url or form variables or record sets I don't know which one I'm inserting until I actually insert it and see it in the php page. This proves that they are being created but without any identifying names to help keep track of them all.

You can't. That's a feature of Premiere Pro CC 2014 (8.0) and later.
