My outgoing mail servers don't connect - anyone know how to fix that?
My outgoing mail servers will not connect now - ever sense the "cloud" launched I have had major issues! Is it the server names?
Did you have MobileMe before? If so, did you ever migrate to icloud? If not, then there's the problem - MobileMe has been terminated.
If you did, then did you ever remove your MobileMe account from your mail client? If not, then go into the mail program's preferences and delete that old account. Next add a new account for icloud using the old ID/password.

When I use it on my laptop there is no problem the songs and videos are there but when i use the ipod directly they just don't appear... :SIt sounds like the iPod has a software issue. I would try the following troubleshooting tips:
1. Reset the iPod: reset the iPod by holding the sleep/wake and home buttons simultaneously for 10-15 seconds until the screen goes black then shows the Apple logo.
2. Make sure the iPod is on the latest version of the software, if it's not then update it.
3. If the iPod is on the latest version of the software or the software update didn't resolve your issue then restore the ipod to factory settings, which will put a new version of the system software on your iPod.

Cant open itunes. Get error message CMBlockBufferCopyDataBytes could not be located in the dynamic link library CoreMedia.dll. Anyone know how to fix that?

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. The error hints at a similar pattern to those discussed in the first and third boxes of the user tip, suggesting that you've got an outdated .dll file that needs replacing. You should find CoreMedia.dll in the one of the following folders:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
Delete it and then repair Apple Mobile Device Support from the Programs and Features control panel. If that doesn't work go for the full tear down and rebuild.

As Tom states, that's interlacing.
Interlacing was invented when the TV was born, to carry 1/5 the frame with each Hz of the electricity rating. In the US, that's why you use 30 fps (or 29.nnn) in the US and we use 25 fps in europe as the electricity is 60Hz/50Hz.
Interlaced video should ONLY (I repeat ONLY) be used for analog TV signal transports.
Each and every digital TV set today, including all the computer screens, is Progressive, updating the full frame at each screen refresh. And most TV's even refresh much quicker, newest TV's refresh a 800Hz..! (giving then problems with the newest LTE spectums..)
If your source media in interlaced, ask why! And stop shooting interlaced.. ;-)
If you have interlaced video, make sure you apply the DeInterlace setting when you import and transcode it. -

I have an Iphone 4S that i installed the face button app. After trying to use it, my phone locked and I cannot get it to work anymore. does anyone knows how to reset this phone and get it working again?
A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.
No content is affected by this procedure. -

A program I have been using is GoodReader from the app store...not free but reasonable prIce. Reads all PDF files, even ones that are supposed to be secure. Check it out and see if it meets your needs, before buying of course.

IPod nano "forgets" song screen when it wakes. Anyone know how to fix that?
II've had my 7th gen nano for almost a year and suddenly when I'm playing a song, and it goes to sleep, it wakes to the home screen instead of then of the
song screen. This is really annoying when I'm trying to quickly navigate. There are also some slip ups with is goes to sleep while recording a voice memo. Everything works fine when nano is plugged in and I hit power since it can't sleep while plugged in, which isn't helpful. Anybody experience this or know how to fix it? click the dropdown and than click edit smtp
a window will come up that says account information and advanced
