MY OUTLOOK IS SAVING ALL MESSAGES UNDER ALL FILES HOW DO IT STOP IT

Hello everyone,
I recently purchased outlook for my macbook pro and added my work email in it. Now everything from messages, contact, events, and reminders are being saved in my Finder "ALL FILES" tab. I really don't want these messages or anything from my email saved on my computer unless i downloaded it. I really don't want my messages saved anywhere else and see them unless I open the outlook. Please help! it is driving me batty! I am also new to the MACBOOK exprience so please give me the step by step process.

Dont' worry - those aren't duplicate files or anything like that - just files that Spotlight has indexed. No way to get 'rid' of them without stopping Spotlight from indexing.

Try going to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and uncheck the email address(es) shown under "You can be reached by iMessage at". If that doesn't work, you'll have to tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with a different Apple ID for iMessage.

Save as project - default to saving all files?

Hi can you make logic default to saving all files when saving as a project or do you have to click copy all everytime you do this? Thanks, Ben

You only have to make your copy/leave/move choices the first time you 'save as project.' After that, it should take care of your choices without further intervention.

When i log onto the internet a box come up on the bottom "show all content" how do i stop this

Hi,
Close any open Internet Explorer windows.
Open windows Control Panel, open Internet Options, click the Security tab and click Custom Level. About half way down, under the heading Miscellaneous, there is an entry for 'Display Mixed Content' - click Enable and then Ok, then click Apply and Ok in the previous window.

So you are saying it works ok as long as you avoid certain pages such as this Forum. That makes me wonder if it could be malware that is blocking access to assistance.Run malwarescans with multipe and up-to-date tools.

Don't know about downloading message. There seems to be a strange error in something which gives you a message in Japanese when trying to view a PDF from Safari.
The message means "To view this file, first launch (open, start) Adobe Reader (the app, from Applications) and accept the license agreement, then quit".

If you don't enter an e-mail address, it just uses SMS and MMS. iMessages (sent over the data connection instead of using your SMS messaging plan) require an e-mail address registered on the device.
There is no requirement that you activate it.

Customer Wants All Outlook Profiles on All Computers - How?

The CEO of our customer wants all Outlook profiles on all computers, so any person could go to any computer in any remote office, and login to Windows, open their Outlook profile, and retrieve/send email from Outlook.
Here is our topology:
A) Most computers are in remote offices.
B) Exchange server is co-located, and there is a domain controller also co-located.
C) Windows is set to login locally, not through a domain controller.
D) We have a Windows server with access from remote office through a VPN for file retrieval. I am concerned that setting up a domain controller there might conflict with the Exchange Server's domain controller. As far as I know, Windows
does not like two domain controllers.
E) Using the co-located domain controller is probably not an option.
F) I have also seen posts on here that Outlook profiles don't roam without user interaction either.
G) Each Outlook profile has multiple emails accounts, so doing this manually is not practical.
I have been told "There must be a way". I don't think the CEO is going to accept, "No". Any other ideas?

Preview is saving all files viewed while online

I am having several problems with Preview because it saves every single file I view while online, and while conducting research, this ends up being literally hundred of .pdfs some days. How do I turn off this automatic save function? Is it just a glitch in the system or is their a setting somewhere that can be adjusted? It is also saving the files in a folder which it should not be saving them in, but I cannot figure out to change the default folder for this automatic saving that should not be taking place. I have tried changing my default folder in Preferences for both Firefox and Safari, but it does not seem to have any effect on this automatic saving.
If I can't get this to stop, then I need to make Adobe Acrobat my default viewer. I have tried going into the Preferences of Firefox and Safari, but I still keep getting Preview popping up when I try to view .pdfs.
I am using Firefox verison 2.0.0.14 and Safari 3.1.1
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It was not, the more likely issue is that someone got access to your email contact list.
Change your passwords for all your email accounts.

Scout file explorer - shows ALL hidden files, how do I stop this?

Hi People,
I know this probably isn't the correct space for this question, but I'll give it a shot anyway. I bought Scout file explorer via the app store. The app doesn't have a 'Preferences' area - and it's showing up ALL files... even ones that would otherwise be hidden, very cluttered. I would usually look for a setting in the app's preferences... but since it doesn't have one? anybody got any suggestions regarding this?

Saving all files in workspace

Is there a way to automatically save all the files in the workspace?
I have a bunch of files that have not been saved. I have an action that will save, and then close the currently selected files. But how can I get it to go on and save the rest of the files in the workspace?
If one file is saved and then closed, then some next file is opened. Isn't that a photoshop event that could trigger an action via the script events manager? How does that work?
What would work? What would automatically save each file in the workspace?

Since you are posting this in a scripting group... Save (like File >
Save) and close each open document is pretty straight forward:

Firefox just started saving all files as firefox documents, why? how to fix?

It was actually working fine today.. but then it started doing this and it keeps doing this. Everytime I right click a link and hit save as. It ALWAYS saves it as a firefox document, no matter what it is. It can be a pic, an mp3, you name it and it saves it as a document. I tried typing .jpg at the end of files when I saved them and still that didn't do anything..
Please help. It's not doing this in internet explorer... But I don't like that browser lol
