My outlook synch works erratically after upgrading to IOS 5

I upgraded to ios5 last week. My corporate email and all the other emails (Yahoo and Google) synch behaves erratically. It was just not working and I powered on my iPad and it worked for a brief while and it stopped synching gain. I don't know what is wrong and will appreciate any remedies

Try updating an app or downloading any free app to resync your iTunes account.

Anyone else having volume icon on ipod touch 4gen just popping up and not working properly after upgrading to ios 6.1?

Hi, has anyone experienced issues with there volume control icon randomly popping up after upgrading to ios 6.1 from 6.0 .
I have a 4th gen ipod touch which until upgrading to 6.1 from 6.0 was working perfectly.
Minutes after the upgrade I noticed the volume icon just popping up for no reason. I can turn the volume up now, but not down and it randomly appears on screen without anyone touching it. Weird! Can someone shed some light on this issue,I have reset and reloaded to factory several times now to no avail.

I am having this same issue on my iPhone 4. The most recent update to iOS 6.1 didn't fix it either. Has anyone found a fix for this problem? It doesn't happen often, maybe every third day or so but requires power off, power on to bring the sound back.

Push email (MS exchange) works intermittently after upgrade to ios 5.1 and ios 5.1.1

I have an iphone 4 with my office email (MS exchange) account configured. Other accounts are Gmail & iCloud.
Office email is configured as Push, Gmail as Fetch and iCloud as Push.
Till ios 5.0.x everything was fine. Office emails were getting pushed and there were no issues.
However after upgrading/restore to ios 5.1 & then 5.1.1 push email mostly does not work.
Few observations :
1. Push email works fine when I am at home on wi-fi.
2. When I leave home for work (therefore on 3G), mails stop getting pushed. Sometimes they get pushed for a period of 1 to 2 hours. Then they stop
3. Manually fetching office mails also does not work
4. Strangle accessing the office webmail site in Safari https://mail.xxxxx.com does NOT work. While i can load other sites in safari, the mail site does not load.
5. In office sometimes in the lift phone switches from 3G to Edge or no signal and then when out of the lift, suddenly mails get pushed, but then stop after some time.
6. Moment I get onto wi-fi, push emails start working
7. There is no issue with accessing gmail.
8. Other push notifications work (gmail app, facebook notifications etc)
9. There have been no changes to our MS exchange server
10. I have tried the usual stuff of resetting network settings, rebooting the phone, killing the mail app, going to airplane mode, deleting the mail a/c and recreating etc etc. But no luck.
Apart from upgrading/restoring to 5.1 and then 5.1.1, there have been no changes. The upgrades were done OTA, restore from 5.1.1.
However both times I have not set the phone as new and have restored backups.
Is anybody facing a similar issue ?
Any suggestions ?

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Has any of this been tried?

Camera lock screen iPhone 5 not working properly after upgrade to iOS 8

After I installed iOS 8 on the iPhones 5 of my and my wife's the camera on the lock screen isn't working properly anymore. When I swipe up, the camera starts but the screen turns black within less then a second.
On the iPad 2 and the iPad Air (both upgraded to iOS 8) I don't have this problem. It seems to be iPhone 5 specific.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Having the same problem. I'm on an iPhone 5 and I have updated to 8.0.2. When I go to apps directly from the lock screen (timer, calculator, camera) it opens up then immediately turns into a black screen. It appears that removing my passcode fixes this bug, but I can't have an unsecured phone. Please help Apple!

What i am trying achieve is, when my iPhone is locked i just need to access my camera without login.
When i open camera when my iPhone is locked, camera displays for 2 seconds and then my screen will be black.

The IOS 8 update has nothing to do with the failure of the device. I have a HDMI adapter and it has worked fine through IOS 6, IOS 7 and IOS 8.
You may want to restart your device by holding the home and power button until the Apple logo appears. If the adapter still fails to work you need to determine if the adapter has failed or the port on your device has failed. Best solution is to go to the Apple store with the device and the adapter. If your adapter has failed it may be under warranty if you still have the sales receipt. If the port on your device is bad then the Apple store will be able to provide you with options.

There's no way a software update causes a hardware issue. This is just coincidental. Bring your phone to Apple for evaluation and possible replacement.

After upgrading to IOS 8 my calendar won't synch. If I accept an invitation on my phone I can see it on my phone but I have to accept if separeately on my PC. Then, if I delete it from my mail on my pc it removes it from my calendar on my phone. This is extremly frustrating. I have read the suggestions of turning phone on and off, doing the soft re-boot. Did you try deleting then reinstalling the app? Sometimes developers will need to update their apps for compatibility. If it still doesn't work after reinstalling, wait a few days to see if an app update becomes available.

I’ve reviewed similar posts regarding the same issue; and it seems this is a common issue in iPhone 4S when upgrade to iOS 7.1.2.
Apple, please Advise if there anything I can do to resolve the issue especially that my work deepens on the push emails and alerts that requires prompt response.

I got this issue resolved.
It caused due to some dirt in the charger slot; such dirt caused the phone to assume as if it is connected to a car kit and that is why it does not produce any sound except the Ringer and the Alarm.
It has been fixed by cleaning the charger slot by toothbrush! with some
drops of a cleaner.
Do not do it by yourself, as it might be a risk; rather, let it to be done by an expert.

I used to pair my iPhone with my Blue&Me system in my Fiat Car and it was working perfectly hitherto. Recently I have been experiencing problems with Pairing my phone with my car Bluetooth system (Which I sometimes use for receiving calls).. Have you tried doing turning the battery level display off and then General -> "Reset all settings"? You won't loose any data and that should do the trick.

Why has Siri stopped working on iPhone 4 after upgrading to IOS 5? I've tried the disable and reboot but continue to get the network error.

Apple has not been forthcoming on the explanation. My Siri worked on my iphone4 (not 4s) immediately after upgrading to IOS5, but I take it they have redirected the servers that used to support Siri to only work with Iphone4s.
It is one thing for apple to only bundle the improved Siri with IPhone 4S, or for them to remove Siri from the Ap store.
But it is another thing all together for apple to purchase a company, and then cease the service that many of us paid for.
Attempts to contact apple at apple store and via email have been unhelpful.
