My outlook will not open yet all other microsoft packages will. When I click on the icon, the 'o' logo will come up for a split second but will not open the package - need to receive emails asap!
You're very welcome!
I meant holding the "option" (or "alt") key on your keyboard as you click the Outlook icon on the Dock, and continuing to hold it until you see the Microsoft Database Utility come up. Alternatively, you can open the utility by navigating to Applications/Microsoft Office 2011/Office and then double-clicking the Microsoft Database Utility app.
When you rebuild your database using that program, a backup copy of your original database (containing your account info, contacts, mail, calendars, etc) will be created. As a security precaution, you should also ensure you have a backup of your database (which you can find by going to Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2011 Identities/ and copying the contents of that folder onto an external drive).

Can anyone help me on this one? I got my IPAD 2 in June 2011. It never gave problems until a few days ago. It began to "hang", becoming non-responsive to all buttons. Then just yesterday morning, it went totally black. The display no longer displays. The Battery was charged 96%. I tried the power adapter, but had the same result. I tried the resetting, holding the two buttons for 10 seconds or more but no result. I have already restored it to the factory setting,(via my PC) and put back my apps etc. But after all this I still cannot see anything on the screen.
I know it is still working, because from time to timer I hear the message alerts, and other sounds.
Waht is the likely solution?Try a Reset...
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.
If no joy... Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.
3: If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try using the steps in this article to force the device into recovery mode.

I pressed the find my iphone delete button and then my phone showed the apply logo. I then got worried and turned it straight off and now it will not turn back on. The apple logo just comes up for about 10 seconds and it goes back off.
Connect your phone to itunes on the computer you use itunes on and open up itunes.

When I'm browsing on Safari, it all of a sudden cuts off and the screen turns blue. It turns blue for about 5 seconds and then returns to the desktop screen. Any idea what's going on?

Could be the graphics card.

You're on your own. Good luck. -

Try resetting the PMU - Article #HT1939 - Resetting CUDA/PMU
Also, it may be time to replace the internal battery. Those batteries have an expected life of about 4 to 5 years; leaving the machine disconnected from live power regularly or for an extended period can reduce that time a lot. You can get a replacement at places like RadioShack for about US$18, cheaper on-line. -

[Start Conference With UserID: u0]Hi,
I can explain this in English.
A Screen Share is made up of two parts in iChat.
It is an Audio Chat with the Screen Share part along side.
The Screen Share is a VNC connection
The Router has to be using UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) as the port the Screen Sharing part is on is a Random port.
Also check your ISP does not block VNC connections
The 10 Sec error message means something outside of iChat cause the connection to be broken.

ITunes doesn't open and agreement page opens for a split second then leaves
Hi well i posted this thread a while back but never got a response soo I though maybe if I post a new one you would see me, sorry if im a burden but I really need the help. Okay well i just uninstalled iTunes because I already had problems with it but now, I just got my iPod and installed the cd on my computer. Then I click on iTunes and the agreement page comes up for one split second then exits out.Well heres all my Inof.I have Norton Anti Virus 2005, Windows XP, Microsoft Firewall (off), i have service pack 2 for microsoft and all the necessary updates are downloaded. I didnt download the optional upgrades only the ones that said were needed. please help me.
-Danny =]
Sony Vaio Windows XP i like cs and itunes and warcraft ALOT =)HI danny!
sorry you got no response last time. PPLE post and post and post and before you know it, your thread is buried six feet deep under other threads.
Ok, so you described your problem to me. I think its a particular malware program thats going around and it causes exactly what you described. BUT, because you do have Nortan 2005, its QUITE possible that is the culprit. Norton and itunes dont play nice together. Norton thinks its a malicious program and blocks it from opening. Its a pain, i know, but First, try turning OFF norton before you launch iTunes and report back to me about what happens.
Cheers,
Rachyl -
All of my Itunes songs keeps going in and out for a split second
Every time I am using Itunes lately on my Imac the songs go in and out or pause for a split second. I do not understand why this is happening - it happens on old songs and new songs that I have purchased.
PLEASE HELP!!!The linki LéonieDF gave for the rebuild workflow was for iPhoto 8 (09) and earlier. For iPhoto 11 this is the workflow to follow:
Apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start with Option #3, followed by #4 and then #1 as needed.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

Hi all
I would like to create a customized button as a master so that if I change the look of the master all other buttons will change too.
I have done this with a custom control as a "strict type def" otherwise the look will not change BUT If I do this as a strict type def I cannot change the Boolean text anymore which should be different on every button.
How can I create a master control of a button where the look will be applied to all others but not the Boolean text?

I don't think you can do that. I just looked and as I suspected the Boolean text property is read only for strict typedefs so you cannot use property nodes to change the text.
As a workaround just make it a typedef. When you want to change the look open the typedef and make it strict, make your changes, then make it non strict again. You will have to update the Boolean text again for all instances. Kind of a pain. Maybe this is something for the idea exchange.
Kudos for being sneaky.
I like these creative work-arounds!

Buttonsandbows and Alayne I would recommend reviewing the installation logs to determine the specific error that you are experiencing. You can find details on how to locate and interpret the installation log files at Troubleshoot install issues with log files | CC - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cc.html. You are welcome to post any specific error messages to this discussion.

All other programs are slow when Thunderbird is open!
When I open Thunderbird, all other programs become very slow, including Mozilla Firefox. My programs work fine when Thunderbird is closed, and slow down as soon as Thunderbird opens. Why is this happening? I'd like to simply leave Thunderbird open all the time, but this slowdown of the system prevents me from doing that.
The programs (including Thunderbird) all work like they should, they are just slow when Thunderbird is open. Interestingly, Thunderbird itself is not slow at all, even with other programs open.So you do not have an issue with Thunderbird itself.
You may have other programs working in the background or updates occurring.
Is Thunderbird using IMAP or pop mail accounts?
Maybe, you have alot of emails in several folders and therefore using alot of memory to run.
Try some reorganizing.
'''If Pop mail accoun'''t, set up Archive Options and archive anything over one month old by month and keep folder structure; including the Sent folder.
* see info: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/archived-messages
Then only open the Archive folder if necessary.
* Create folders and move emails out of the Inbox into those folders.
* Delete emails you do not want.
* When Inbox is empty, right click on Inbox folder and select 'compact'.
Empty Deleted and Junk folders and then right on each folder and select 'compact'.
'''If IMAP mail account''' you could select to only download the most recent emails instead of all emails.
* see info : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/imap-synchronization?esab=a&s=synchronize&r=0&as=s#w_configuring-synchronization-and-disk-space-usage
If you have a IMAP gmail account, do not subsribe to see the 'All Mail' folder. This is gmails archive of all of emails, so subscribing to this folder only doubles the amount of disc space used.
see more info under 'All Mail at this link:
* http://kb.mozillazine.org/Using_Gmail_with_Thunderbird_and_Mozilla_Suite
By doing the above, you should have smaller folders and so use Thunderbird will use less memory.
Then you would need to see if this helped. You may need to check to see if you have other background processes going on that are not connected to Thunderbird. -
After I updated to iOS 7, my iCloud account is showing the incorrect email address for my Apple ID but will not allow me to change it- it's gray and I can't click on it. How do I fix this?
If you change your email, you do not need to "change" your AppleID. Just edit your email(s) on your Apple ID by logging in to your AppleID account. You should always use the same AppleID for Apple Services (iCloud, iTunes etc) and multiple ID will cause problems and confusion in the future.
You can manage your Apple ID here:
