My Party-Jukebox doesnt work correctly

Hello to everybody
I run iTunes 7.3.2 and all was ok, but suddently (somebody tried to copy a couple of songs from a CD-Rom to my iTunes but who knows how... but he may not be guilty of this malfunction) the mode "Party-Jukebox" is as it were blocked. It does not dispay any of the songs from the source or the playlists that I select. Strange is: it appears a unchangable list of 362 songs (but max 100 should be possible to display) and these songs are sorted by interpret, instead to be a random selected mix. And I can't do or change anything in the mode Party-Jukebox. Also the buttons like "actualize" does not change anything.
I tried one thing: To upgrade the iTunes Software from 7.3.1 to 7.3.2. The installation was successfuly but the same problem remained.
What could cause this problem? What can I do to fix it or where shoult I look for e.g a bad file or so?

Try selecting all of the songs displayed in the Party Shuffle list and hitting delete. This should force the list to repopulate and often solves the problem.

Looks like the battery is broken.
I would give it back to apple for a new one.
If you have an apple store next to you, bring your ipod to them, because that should save you a lot of time.

DW pages doesnt work correctly

All pages made with Dreamweaver CC doesnt work in my browsers. I made design as in tutorial, but I can see only texts in browser. I used Explorer, Opera, Chrome. I also started my site on server, but problem is the same. Its strange that example file doesnt work too

Assuming you defined a local site folder in DW before you began this project, I'm guessing your style sheet is not properly linked to your HTML page or you forgot to upload it to your server.

If you didn't define a local site folder, DW cannot manage links and assets for you. You must define a site for all new projects by going to Site > New Site and tell DW where to keep local site files on your hard drive. See screenshot.

My Party shuffle doesnt work; it only shows my library

whenever i open iTunes i goto the party shuffle and see that it doesnt shuffle any of my songs and just lists them in ABC order. does anyone know how to make it go back to the way it was and have it shuffle&play the songs?

Same problem here. In my case I upgraded Itunes and had to rename the prior version library to get my library back (Is that a bug that has become a feature?)
I copied the entire party shuffle into a new playlist and that does work. The tracks stay in numbered order but with shuffle on, it shuffles according to the settings you have in Edit-preferences-playback and "smart shuffle"
Windows XP

Third party keyboard not working correctly.

I have hooked up a Kensington PilotBoard USB keyboard to my G4 PB 17". The regular keyboard keys (letters, numbers, shift keys) work but the function keys do not, and none of the key commands work. I've loaded the keyboard software, but when I open it, it indicates that no keyboard is detected.
Incidentally, I could not find the software on the Kensington website with the same model number (#64378), so I'm wondering if that could be it. Also, the regular keyboard on the laptop works fine.
Another observation: I'm still running Panther, but a friend who is running Tiger said his computer opened up a dialog box when he plugged in an older third party keyboard which helped him to match up the keyboard. Do I need to upgrade my operating system software?

Laptop lid closing function doesnt work correctly

Hello,
I use openbox and acpid is installed.
When I close laptop screen, my laptop does not sleep nor hibernate, fans continue to work and if I put the laptop in to a laptop bag ( which I did because I thought it was working ), the laptop becomes very hot in very short time.
If I want to open the laptop again, screen does not open. I dont know if the system is really working or not but it doesnt open no matter what. So I'm forced to do hard reset.
systemd-logind service logs like its working normally but it is not;

Both of them failed again.
systemctl restart systemd-login made X crashed, so I started X again and used them together "sudo systemctl restart systemd-login && systemctl suspend", but same thing happened
pm-utils made fast move and I thought it worked, but then fan started to make noise, and when I tried to open it, it failed again;

I find arch wiki very confusing, it's not helpful. Only helpful guide was beginner's guide, the rest is either confusing or incomplete.
I think I'll install either Xfce or Gnome, because this is making me feel I'm going nowhere.
Also, another thing is, I dont know if its about disabling acpid but, now whenever I do something new, like opening a tab in firefox, clicking on search area in arch wiki, my machine acts like a new cd inserted, but instead it uses hdd, it stops for 1 second, drive starts moving, then it acts, and I'm talking about 8gb ram, i7 machine...

Importing 3rd party loops doesnt work

in logic pro x when i drag and drop loops from my loop library folders they dont import at all (worked fine in logic 8). the popup window asks where i want to use them from and no matter if i choose original location or import to new folder they dont show up in the loop browser.
anyone know why?

QT 7.0.4 Install Doesnt Work Correctly on MAC OS 10.3.9

I dloaded QT 7.0.4 and installed it on a 1.25 mHz Dual Processor G4 MAC computer with 1.5 GIGS of RAM frunning MAC OS 10.3.9. I typed in the Pro Serial Number. When I click on either previously made in QT 6.5.2 movies or movies exported from SoundTrack Pro the QT 7.0.4 application DOES NOT EVEN OPEN. Either I get NOTHING or an error message that says the application has timed out. I only installed QT 7.0.4 and SoundTrack Pro for a project students are doing in the lab.
Any Help is appreciated since it SHOULD WORK. Thank you.

This is more of a solution for programmers than it is for users. I tried to hack an application this way and had no luck. If you really want to try, be sure to make a backup of your application first. Just copy it and paste a copy to your desktop or somewhere safe.
For the version you are editing, right click (or hold control and click) and select "Show Package Contents". Go to Contents->MacOS and you will see the actual program or in the case of Java applications, a file called JavaApplicationStub. This is the file to overwrite.
Keep in mind, this isn't entirely likely to work. It really depends on the application. You are better off reverting to Quicktime 7.01 using Apple's QT 7.01 reinstaller, or if you already upgraded to 7.1 use Pacifist to force the installation of both QT 7.04 and the 7.01 reinstaller. That worked for me.

I'm using Firefox 28.0 (Waterfox build)
I've verified that:
- browser.tabs.loadInBackground: False
- browser.tabs.loadDivertedInBackground: True
- "When I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately" is enabled in the UI.
It seems only some websites actually switch to the new tab. Also, sometimes, this feature will stop working all together; requiring me to toggle the Firefox UI setting and/or restart firefox.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
*Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Conditional Loop doesnt work correctly.

If you analyze my code, its all about parsing a dictionary.
Im checking the dictionary for the "aardvark" word. It gives me
false all the time. When "aardvark" is the first word in the array,
i.e my_dictionary[0] is "aardvark". I wonder why the conditional
loop isnt working fine. Im checking if the user string aardvark is
== my_dictionary
; it should be giving me the true value.
Is there any error in the code? Can anyone explain me where
im going wrong?
P.S -> The traces put everywhere gives me the right
output. Except for the result of the if().

Hi Raymond,
Thanks for the reply. I got the problem, actually the
conditional loop was perfect, the parsing was not. The reason
being, some words in the dictionary had a Space/NewLine/Carriage
Return at the last index after the word. It was all random, so some
words were taken, but some were not like "vicious" == "vicious " -
gave INVALID WORD.
So I redesigned the parser, where I removed the unwanted last
char - now the condition worked fine. Thank god I was working even
after posting the query.

Swf export doesnt work correct

I created a website and exported the project into an swf file. Unfortunately some of the pages exported are correct and others show something else but not the stuff I created in CS4. Actually it is only text so nothing difficult. The result I get is something I had before, only bolt text parts or only the grey letters and not the colered letters...
Iam using version 10. Whats going on?

the wreid thing is that I used on all pages the same font. Just on two pages the text is not exported correct. On the one page a part of a line is missing completely. But the rest of the text is exported correct. I also added something and it is exporting it all the time correct, but not the first line with some bolt and colered letters. On an other page there are only the headlines shown I wrote on this page maybe three days ago and I have already changed to something else. It seems to me that the software is using some information from the past???

Right now I removed everything from my page and even then I get the stuff I already mentioned! There is nothing on the page but the software exports something from the past...

Focus stacking doesnt work correctly

Hi there,
I tried to "focus-stack" multiple photos.
Everything is working fine, except when I blend the pictures together, only the bottom most layer will be shown. Photoshop won't select the parts of the layers which are sharp.
In this video I posted you will see what I am doing, it is in Dutch, but it's the same as the English version.
Can anyone help me out?
I use Lightroom and Photoshop CC, newest updates.
I import from my canon, and then convert the files to .DNG within Lightroom Import.

It's finally working (And now I see making good pictures for focus-stacking isn't that easy).
So this is what I did.
I first took R_Kelly his advice. I checked the version, and it seemed that this evening a new update has come out.
So I updated, tried the stacking again, And it was working.
Strange thing is, that in my opinion the update can't be the thing. It should have worked in older version right?
So I was thinking, when you update, photoshop will be resetted right? At least, the reset that Benjamin meant.

Firefox udated, and now facebook doesnt work correctly.....

This morning firefox updated itself, and now all of the pop-ups on facebook do not work, no chat, no messages, etc....... is it a default setting that isnt allowing it? i tried my IE and it works fine on that...... ???????? thanks!!!!

You may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

Volume doesnt work correctly

The remote only incrementally changes volume. In other words, you need to push the volume button many,many,many times just to change the level more than one notch. A real PITA.

Finally found a solution for the P265 remote here:

"On the new remote (P265) use the Samsung code and it is the 4th code also. Press and hold the <OK> and the 0 keys together, and then enter 331. Then press the <CH +> button 4 times, BUT block the the end (IR light) of the remote for the 1st 3 presses. On the 4th press of the <CH +> button the tv will turn on (or off), wait a few seconds, then press <OK> to confirm."
My wife and I are much happier now.
