My passcode is blocked and says connect to itunes and itunes says type in passcode on phone
my iphone is blocked and says connect ti itunes but itunes says to type passcode onto phone. Any ides?

i have also tried facetiming with several other people. the same thing has hapened every single time and it has always worked just fine until that 800 number called me.Judging by all the posts on the forum, there seems to be an issue at Apple's end, although they have made no announcement on their status page. If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

i can not open my i pad-1 and the device gave me message connect to iTunes and when connect the computer give me message type the password firstly i do not know what can i do ?
Is it disabled due to too many incorrect passcode attempts ? If it is then you may need to put the iPad into recovery mode : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808 - you should then be able to reset the iPad and restore/resync your content to it.

"Register with ESB" failing, though AS and IS connections are tested and OK
When trying to deploy my ESB project, in the "Register with ESB" phase I am now all of a sudden getting the following Error (the same project was working fine for months unchanged until today). This is even though the AS and IS connections are tested and still working fine.
Things that changed today:
1.Change 1 – when starting JDEV I was prompted to download some Jdev patch/upgrade for some sort of new BPEL modeling framework, so I installed, JDEV asked to reboot so did, JDEV asked to upgrade JDEV from former, so did, JDEV asked for what dir, so went with default .../jdev/system
2. Change 2: tried also to deploy the standard “Order booking SOA demo” after patching.
3. The Error message I started getting, both for new and old deployments (that were working fine until today), is below, as is my version information:

I have just found out what's wrong. I went to the 'more info' section of my Chitchat application and it took me to a link where it explained that Yahoo Chat has ditched chatting with the Java protocol and chatters can now only chat via the Yahoo Messenger protocol, which is Yahoo Instant Messenger with Voice. Unfortunately Yahoo doesn't provide a platform for Yahoo Voice for Macintosh computers. Though the original link I went to provides another link to a thing called 'Adium' from which a Mac can access Yahoo Chat's new protocol, although it's not fully developed yet.
Oh...and thanks so much for letting me know about the Java update release. I did not know that I have to upgrade my system first to recieve the latest update information.

Skype calls just say connecting... and don't ring
Me and my fried have been trying to talk for over an hour. It says connecting for both of us. Yes we disabled the firewallYes we updated to the newest versionYes we restarted Skype and the Computers Is it impossible to get help??
I finally found a solution as to why this was happening for me. Now I don't know if this will work for everyone else or why this even started randomly happening 2 updates ago when I hadn't even changed any of my router settings in months but anyways yeah.... So funny enough I stumbled across this while looking up why I wasn't able to connect to FFIV servers, I would get a connection error and my game client would crash. I found out that this was a common problem for Comcast (Xfinity) users. What I did was in my firewall settings was check "Block IDENT (port 113)" and "Block ICMP" under "Custom Security". Now that fixed my problem with the game, but it made me think that maybe this had something to do with my Skype problem, and low and behold, everything was working 100% fine again. Now I am not 100% positive on this, but I believe it was the "Block IDENT (port 113)" portion that enabled my Skype to be able to make normal calls again, but I guess anyone who knows more about networking might be able to correct me here, but after looking into this a bit I did find some threads about relation of Skype and IDENT (port 113 usually), so it leads me to believe that if you have a router like mine, or can figure out how to change the settings in your router, it may fix this issue. Just for reference I have an Arris TG862g Xfinity router. Attached are screenshots of my routers interface and the options I have checked that worked for me. I don't suggest copying this completely and leaving it, but play around with your settings to see if this works while still having your correct firewall settings in place. This is what worked for me and I hope that some form of this is the solution for everyone else.

Now, when I try and log into my YouTube account and numerous other websites, instead of logging me in, the screen turns black with a message displayed saying, "connection not trusted." On most sites, it will give me the option to either, "get me out of here" or "I understand the risks, allow exception." When I try logging into YouTube, the only option I have is; "get me out of here!"
Check the date and time in the clock on your computer: (double) click the clock icon on the Windows Taskbar.

When my brand new MacBookPro awakes from sleep it has lost its internet connection. It goes to Network Diagnostics and I need to step through all the pages to get to the end where it says connection is o.k. Is this a bug in Lion or could it be a corrupt file migrated over from my old MacBook Pro which would frequently lose its Airport connection and couldn't be reconnected until it cooled down. (This one always shows full bars on the Airport indicator).
That's definitely just paranoia. First, because in sleep mode, there's no internet connection. The computer might as well be turned off as far as the network is concerned, and there's no activity in the computer other than a bare trickle of electricity to maintain the RAM. The processor is doing nothing.
Second, Macs are quite difficult to hack, and if you're on a wireless network, the wireless router protects you from incoming attacks from the outside world.
Of course, you should be able to leave Safari open with no open windows and not affect your ability to get online when it wakes up. If you can reproduce that reliably, and if I can as well (haven't had a chance to try it yet), then it should be reported to Apple. -
IOS 5 says connection error everytime and can't install

Open notepad as administrator, and direct yourself to:
C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc
open the "Hosts" file:
note the "127.0.0.1 gs.apple.com" portion near the bottom. your hosts may be different, and if so, then look for that part specifically. the problem for me, lied within the fact that just before the "127.0.0.1 gs.apple.com" part, there originally was no hash(#) with the space like the rest of the hosts file. This was all I had to fix. After editing and then SAVING the hosts file in notepad I restarted iTunes and the update went through without a hitch!
so if you do not see the hash and space before the "127.0.0.1 gs.apple.com" part, all you have to do is put the #, and then press tab! I hope this works for some of you guys! So just to be clear, that particular line in the file should look like:
# 127.0.0.1 gs.apple.com

I forgot my password to my iPad and it said to connect to iTunes so I did. I went on Apple support to try and find a way to restore my iPad. The options given were to either sign into iCloud of Find my iPhone and restore it, but it wouldn't work because I didn't download the Find my iPhone app and I wasn't signed into iCloud. My other option was to connect to iTunes and restore it so I tried many times but it keeps saying that the apple software cannot be connected. I used Apple support once again to see if i can sort out the problem but nothing seems to work. Is there anything else that I can do to restore it??
Try this:
1. Turn off iPad. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, slide to turn off.
2. Connect USB cable to computer
3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
5. Release the Home button
6. Open iTune (make sure you have the newest version of iTune)
7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"
8. Use iTune to restore iPad
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad -
Thunderbird email client times out making IMAP and POP3 connections to gmail and hotmail.
After autoconfiguring several gmail accounts with Thunderbird, and then using them, they stopped working after I switched to Verizon High Speed DSL. All of the accounts time out while trying to get email. Non list an error. While trying to auto configure a hotmail account, it failed during password loggin.
Disabled Windows Firewall
Disabled Norton Firewall
Disabled modem-router firewall
checked IMAP settings in Thunderbird.
deleted and then reautoconfigured the accounts to reset the passwords.
enabled IMAP manually in gmail and POP3
checked SMTP ports and IMAP default port numbers
checked for normal password
checked for SSL/TSL text
Checked with Verizon support who said that they don't help Thunderbird clients.
Tried logging in manually to all of the accounts to make sure the passwords and usernames were correct ...works.

Solution for sending MS Outlook and SMTP e-mail through Verizon FIOS for GoDaddy e-mail
The FIX...I had to log onto the xxxxxxxx(at)verizon.net e-mail account via the WEBMAIL version for Verizon.
I then went to Options-->More Options on the top, right menu.
Go to the Accounts menu on the left.
Click Add Account button toward the top.
I only entered information for Sending Mail.
Account name (any name you like...I called it GoDaddy)
From Name = my display name
e-mail address = my GoDaddy e-mail address
I then moved my cursor to the username field in the Receiving Mail just so my cursor wasn't in the e-mail address field anymore.
Verizon couldn't even help me with this. This should be a standard check for them whenever they receive a call for SMTP issues. I think they are trying to get everyone to use their (at)verizon.net e-mail account as their primary account. This will help them retain or gain future business. I think it's bad for business overall.

Note the "Test Account Settings..." button failed on the test send of a message, but all other tests passed fine. My messages are sent fine even with this part of the tests failing.
The above is true for a lot of third party email providers (not programs but email providers)
