My PC can't see my ipod mini in 'source'
My ipod mini cannat be seen on my PC or in 'source' in itunes when it is correctly connected.
I have tried resettting the ipod and also putting it into disk mode. Neither are successsful. I alos have the latest itunes software.
It stopped being seen about a month ago. I have the proper apple cable.
It is possible that I used another cable in a previous attempt to connect it to the PC a month ago.
Is it RIP for my ipod or is there anything that can be done? Any suggestions gratefully recieved,
best wishes,
Sarah

How come I can't see my Ipod Touch on Itunes?
When I had the 9.2 version (the one before 10), just recently before I changed it to 10, my Ipod Icon wouldn't show up on Itunes so I couldnt sync my ipod or do anything, even though it was plugged and was charging. So, then I was like okay, maybe that's my cue to download the newest version of Itunes. Well once I did that, I could sync and see my ipod again on Itunes for a few days, but just now, I plugged in my Ipod and it's doing the same thing again! It's charging, but I can't see my ipod and its options. So I'm not sure if it's my Ipods problem or maybe it's not compatible to the version? I have the 2Gen Ipod touch. Anyone know?

i too have a 2nd gen Touch and it works fine with iTunes 10.
try this:
(a) download the [_*Mac OS X v10.6.4 Update (Combo)*_|http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1048]
(b) reboot into _*safe mode*_
(c) launch *disk utility* (in applications/utilities), +verify disk+ and +repair permissions+
(d) run the combo
(e) after running the combo, let the Mac reboot normally and +repair permissions+ again.
(f) run +software update+ from the menu and install any updates offered.
connect your Touch now. what happens ?

Can't see my ipod in itunes and my computer
I can't see my ipod in itunes and my computer. There is an error code 10
please helpMy problem is almost the same, I went to plug my 60g iPod into my PC USB port, and it locked up my computer and iPod. Now my iPod is stuck on the Do not disconnect screen and hasn't even changed the time at the top, still stuck at 10:05AM. I'm getting kind of upset here. I haven't even had the thing for over a year yet and I keep it in good shape.
Any ideas on how to fix would be helpful.
Thank

uninstalled iTunes and all the recommended things
Doublechecking. Have you tried a complete uninstall of both iTunes and all the other related software components and then a reinstall? If not, try the instructions from the following document:

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Can I use a Ipod Mini with the Nike running chip?!
I'm looking at buying a Ipod Mini, but I was told that it might not work with the chip in my running shoes from Nike! Is there anyone who knows if this is true or not!!

I can't see the preview of my source on Flash media live encoder ... I'm using CamTwist on mac
Carolyn,
I think your TV might be a rear projection model, correct? Those types of TVs inherently have overscan built into them as part of their optical design. The TV should have some picture SIZE settings that affect how much overscan is present, and some settings may even get rid of it altogether with the result there might be a small black border instead.
Don't worry about changing TV settings. Settings like this are tied to a specific input. So if you make these types of changes while the TV is passing the mini's video through to the screen, those changes will only apply to the mini. When you switch to other inputs, like a cable box, etc., the old settings should still be intact and unchanged. -
My computer can no longer see my ipod mini.
I bought my ipod about 2 weeks ago. 3 days ago i found that whenever i plugged it in to the computer, itunes would start up, it would start syncing with the ipod and then i would get the "blue screen of death" from windows and my system would restart. every time it reached the same point the computer would restart (with the blue screen).
now the computer will not see the ipod in any way, though something happens because the ipod recharges each time.
I also cannot reset the ipod. toggling the hold switch followed by pressing menu and select results in nothing, no matter how long you hold them.
otherwise the ipod works fine at the moment.Hi Jim... what is the text in the BSOD? Not all of it but the key issue?
