My pc cannot recognize my N-95 and shows USB not r...
everytime i connect my mobile to pc through a data cable but it could not connect and displays a message USB device not recognized.
i have installed my pc suit and data cable driver correctly. i have also re-installed windows but still i have the problem.
plz help me solving this problem....
- uninstall all nokia pc suite, connectivity solution and connecitivy cable driver through add/remove programs
- then reinstall ONLY PC Suite 6.85.14.1 (drivers are included in suite)
- click connect phone text above the phone icon in pc suite main view
- now connect cable when asked (what is the type nr of cable?), select pcsuite mode from phone display and wait for the drivers to be installed automatically

ITunes cannot find my music files and I do not have the the files on my computer
My sister got a new computer and put music files from old iTunes onto external hard drive and then put it directly into iTunes library on new computer. The music from old computer and hard drive got deleted. She synced her iPod with iTunes. Come to find out after the sync she only had 20 songs on her iPod because iTunes cond not find the original files for the 1200 other songs. Now she only has the 20 songs on her iPod and the other 1200 in iTunes won't play and have the exclamation mark next to them. She cannot locate them because she deleted them from the old computer and the hard drive. Is there anything she can do to fix it??? Please and thank you !
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

App hung on "waiting"; during update, I lost my wifi connection and the app hung; now cannot delete to reinstall (no X), synching does not help; itunes app store says it is installed, therefore I cannot reinstall; deleting the app from itunes and synching does not reinstall the app on the ipod; the app developers have not helped and told me to check with Apple (which I am doing, since I am past my 90 day tech support). Hoping someone can help with this hung "waiting' app problem.
- First try resetting the iPod:

Home Sharing and Show Items not in my Library
I was very excited to finally be able easily sync up the iTunes libraries on my new home mini and my laptop, I was even more excited by the "Items not in my Library" option... but I seem to be having a issue it, that is probably a bug, and I'm wondering if others are seeing it too in 9.0.2:
I transferred over an album no problem, then I went to transfer a setlist of live tracks by the same artist. Because it's live, many of the song names are the same. I had the *Show Items not in my Library* option selected and it hid (and thus didn't transfer) some of the tracks. I later realized that it had hidden the tracks that had the same name as the original album, even though they are quite different.
I hope others experience this same issue and Apple will release an update fixing it. This issue will make it impossible to realiably synchronize libraries as they change.
BTW - I've also noticed if you choose *Show: All items* and import a file that is a real duplicate it will copy it over and append a "1" creating a duplicate as opposed to replacing or updating the file.

Ripped Movies Synching and showing but not playing
Can anyone tell me why various movies I have ripped from our children DVDs to *.m4v format and added to the iTunes library do no play while they did synchronise and showed up... but Blank (i.e. no artwork or title). If I tap on the blank icon, it does give me information on the movie (such as file size and name etc), but after tapping is looks like it will start (black screen) and then,, info box: the movie can not be played.

But none of the videos will play even though the synch seemed to be successful (? - the warning did come up that 2 videos could not be copied as they could not be played on the iPad)...
Any ideas.? I am converting one of the movies very slowly mean time... Hopefully on time as were supposed to fly to Amsterdam today... if the snow lets us that is (Want to have plenty to play with for the kids for the expected waits and holdups...

Within Firefox 4, I right click to open a new tab on a link pointing to a file with .pps extension. The new tab is full of special characters. Looks like the .pps file is being displayed. And the browser is frozen.
I try the same mouse click on Firefox 3.6 and the prompt for download/view window pops up in the new tab. That's the action I need.You may have set a download action to open the file in Firefox: Tools > Options > Applications

Windows Vista - IT Store cannot recognize my user name and account?
iTunes store won't accept my account info and let me in to my account. I checked the computer clock and it's correct - not sure what domain/address to use so Windows doesn't block cookies from Itunes store. But anything else I should try? Brand new computer (Dell) with plenty of capacity. New download of iTunes. Want to authorize this computer and move content from my iTouch to new computer. Thanks.
Log into myinfo.apple.com and retype all the info. Maybe even change your password.
If iTS won't work after doing that, contact ITS support and ask them for assistance.

After many years of having no problems at all on my Macbook, I recently figured I should finally upgrade my OS. I did that about three weeks ago, updating to Snow Leopard (10.6.8). I used Time Machine at least once after the OS upgrade but now Time Machine no longer recognizes the external drive I have used for all these years to back up. The MacBook does not "see" it. (Disk Utility does however.) The computer then also stopped recognizing another La Cie back-up that I have and now... my iPhone cannot download photos? Yikes.
I have, of course, shut down numerous times, used different cables (that worked for some) and the two USB drives. I even used a firewire. Nothing worked. I also tried to "Repair disk" on Disk Utility. It didn't work either, giving me an error (that I didn't save, sorry).
I read many other discussions on the file format of the external drive and of course I'd be happy to reformat the external drives--however, it is obviously a tad nerve-wracking to reformat drives before having an accessible back-up. Suggestions? I do not remember what file format they have but am pretty sure it's not the Mac file system someone mentioned. The drives are a 2009 WD "My Passport Elite" and La Cie 2007 d2 Quadra,
In terms of other hardware available, we do have another MacBook Air but it has started rejecting both drives as well (without the Snow Leopard upgrade). We have an old Dell but it wouldn't have the disk space to help out much.
Any thoughts on the process involved would be welcome. Any ideas on the iPhone rejection would be helpful as well! It is a 30gig iPhone 4 that has 20 or so gigs free (not clear as iTunes says that there are abour 18 Gigs on the phone but 24 free gigs? I may be bad at math but that's 40 gigs...).
I am checking out iCloud but apparently there are only 55 gigs available?

Yes, I used the Firewire cable from the La Cie and it is indeed present, though still not visible in Finder. Since it is not Mac OSExtended I know that I can't use Time Machine with it.
So, in summary...
I can plug in the La Cie and it is functional on the MacBook, visible on Disk Utility but not visible in Finder. The WD drive is not visible and not functional. So we can think it is indeed the WD that is not working.... Also, the iphone photos did, in the end, get downloaded, so it is not something more general.
Causes...
I forgot to mention that there is a "lost+found" file on the WD which apparently points to a UNIX /OS issue?
Some kind of "insurance"?....
I'm curious about how people avoid this kind of issue. You just regularly replace back-up drives and hard drives before problems come up? Time Machine is great and saves many of us from disasters, however, knowing that your Time Machine back-ups are vulnerable makes the whole system insecure. No way to have alarms ring before the drive goes out?
As for ways ahead...
It seems that I ought to be able to copy off of the WD to the MacBook then erase it and reformat it and start over again. However, I haven’t been able to see its contents except on random occasions. If you have any ideas on how to copy the Time Machineback-ups from the WD, again, I'm all ears!

iTunes will not install on windows xp del pc install cannot acess mile iTunes.msi. Help
(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get aCode 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -
Most iPhone user's cannot receive text from me and my NEW Note 4
I chose to try the pre-installed +Messenger app from Verizon to be used rather than the fuctional default messenger. It wasn't what I expected so I switched back to the original message app. Well, that's when the issue's began with most of my contacts who use Iphone's.
I would send text to iPhone user's with no delivered confirmation text being returned as a notification. So I called them and they said they didn't receive a text. I realized the problem was a conflict with going back to the original messaging app/software.
Went to the Verizon store where I purchased the phone three times! The first salesman told me to have the iPhone user's to go into their text settings and turn on "Send MMS". That didn't resolve the issue. The second salesman called tech support and fixed the problem. Although I didn't know was done but, it was apparently a temporary fixed because it continued to happen
The 3rd salesman had to reset to factory settings and disabled/removed the +Messenger app from Verizon.
Still experiencing this stressful issue with my Note4.

I_chingonSorry to hear that! I tend to use the default Messages app more than anything else too.
I'm curious about your issue because you said "most iPhone users..." That can make the situation a little bit tricky, but it can also be used to your advantage, because if you compare the messaging/cellular settings on one iPhone that works and one that doesn't, you will likely find your resolution. I'd suggest looking at an iPhone that doesn't receive your messages and try to make the settings match the settings of an iPhone that successfully receives your texts.
Since it only happens with iPhone users the problem is likely not on your end; it's more than likely an issue with iMessage on the recipients' phone, but you can certainly try to deactivate your iMessage account (if you have one). Deregister and Turn Off iMessage - Apple Support. Bear in mind that this tool is usually used to solve issues that are the opposite of yours (iPhone users cannot send texts to you). -

Getting a verification error when trying to get into the apps,
I also have Jolly's problem. I found the iMovie 9.0.9 folder and tried to launch the older version of iMove. It would not launch. I removed all of the iMovie preferences from the Preferences folder, removed iMove 10 from the applications folder, and restarted my Mac. iMove 9.0.9 still won't launch and I can't access my videos created with the older version of iMovie. Is there a way to uninstall iMovie 10 and reinstall iMovie 9.0.9?
I am running Yosemitie on a iMac.
