My PC W7 does not recognise my iPhone 4S nor does the latest version of iTunes

When I connect the iPhone to the PC the PC makes a sound as though it recognises something being connected to the PC however even Windows does not show the iPhone as connected.

try resetting the apple mobile device support

if this doesnt work ou may have to put it into recovery mode
-hold home and power button till apple logo comes up or for like 1 min or put into recovery mode hold home button down while plugging it into the computer till iTunes logo comes up
if that does not work either you may want to uninstall itunes and reinstall it
