My PDF changes when I touch up photos in Photoshop

I've asked this before but can't remember how to fix this. My hard drive died and now I'm using a different machine. I'm using Acrobat7 Pro and when I touch up photos in Photoshop and save those changes the pictures on the pdf shift all over the place. I'm using Mac OS 10.4  and Photoshop CS2 right now. I'm thinking this was a problem with the prefrences but can't remember. Can anyone help me?

Make sure you update the programs. I don't remember if you need to upgrade Photoshop or Acrobat, but both should be updated to the greatest and latest in their respective lineage.

Yes, you should get an email if somebody replies to a thread you started or one to which you posted. I did; that's how I knew you had replied. Check up at the top of the right column of this thread. In the "Actions" box you should find "Stop email notifications" if you are subscribed to this thread.
One step you didn't list among HP's suggestions is a compound action: delete the app, reset the iPad (by holding down the home and start buttons together for ten seconds), then reinstall the app and test it. If it still falls over, I would say the HP app has not kept up with iOS changes and needs updating -- OR your iPad has developed some persistent internal corruption in its photo storage that only the HP app trips over (in which case, the app still needs updating, but it's going to be much harder for HP to determine how).

    When you finish editing choose:
    File >> Save As
Then choose a file name and folder and save.

  • When I touch the "photos" icon on my 4th gen iPod Touch, I get a page entitled "Albums" - it's white, with many lines.  At the very top of the screen, almost shadowed behind the word "albums" I can see the thumbnail of my album.  But I can't access it.

I need help viewing my photos on my 4th gen iPod Touch.  When I choose the "photos" icon, I get a screen called "albums".  At the top of the screen, sort of shadowed behind the word "albums" I can see a thumbnail of where my pictures are.  What can I do to get back my "old" view of my pictures?
    Thanks.

Bring up the Multitask bar by double clicking on the home button, search for the photo app icon, tap on it until it starts to shake, hit the minus icon in the left corner to close the app.
Close the task bar again and start the photo app again, this time it should work.

  • The color changes when I click my photos or try to upload them on Dropbox etc

The preview is fine, with the filters on (the ones that I chose while capturing with iPhone's camera) but when I click on a photo, the filters disappear and on some other photos there are not even filters yet still the color changes, like autofixed or something. I cannot delete my photos as I cannot backup on Dropbox etc because of the color change.

You need to sync your apps.  Go to the app stab and select sync apps, then selct all of the apps you want on your ipod.
You cannot delete the apps or itunes store.  They are likely on another page, in a folder in you have restrictions set.  Check all of these.
If all else fails, then reset the homescreen layout.
All of this is covered in the manual.

  • Artist name changes when rotating touch

I have my own MP3 library that I put on my touch. When I play a song in portrait mode it displays the artist and song name correctly but when I rotate into landscape mode the artist name is wrong (song name is still correct). I'm pretty sure this was not a problem before my upgrade to 2.1. Anyone else experience this.

I am having a similar problem.  I purchased (actually "completed") an album that I had already purchased one song from (as a single).  There are 13 songs in total on the album.  The single I had already purchased is still listed under the original single.  This I sort of expected, and I think I know how to fix it from iTunes on my PC by simply modifying the song info to match the new album.  For now, on my iPhone, under new album listing, I see 11 of the 13 songs listed, and they all play fine.  The problem stems from the very last song on the CD.  There is a second artist who sings on that song (i.e. a duet).  So in my Music app, this song is listed under a different "artist".  From the artist view, it correctly says there is 1 album, and 1 song.  Unfortunately, when I click on that artist, I don't see the song that is supposed to be listed there.  I see a repeat of the same 11 songs listed over in the other "single artist" area.  But if I actually click on ANY of the 11 songs listed, it always PLAYS the 1 correct song, no matter which of the 11 song titles I select.  The "advance to next song" button doesn't even work (it is ignored).  I tried deleting that bogus artist from my iPhone, and re-downloaded that 1 song from the iTunes store on my phone (hit the little cloud button), but it just put everything back the way it was.  I'm guessing I will have to restore my iPhone from scratch tonight.  Oh Joy.  I will report back once I figure out how to fix my problem.  Hopefully it will help you with yours.

  • When I open multiple photos into Photoshop, the program defaults these photos to only the file name across the view panel. I wish to see them all in thumbnail under the main view area. How do I do this, please

    Please help

Instead of opening all of them, open the largest one (if that is the canvas size you want to use) then File>Place the remaining images.

  • Re Iphone 4s.  When I touch photos I get maps.  Pls help.

Please help - I cannot get into my photos.  When I touch the photos icon (the flower) I get a map from the map icon.  I moved both icons so that they would not be together but it still happens.  I get a map instead of my photos.  I also reset the Iphone.  I do not know what else to do.  Thank you

Open the photo app again and make sure that on the bottom of the screen "Albums" (on the left side) is selected,  "Places" on the right side of the screen will show you a map of the locations where you took the photos.

  • When I open a raw photo in photoshop I am getting a yellow exclamation point for a second. What does it mean?

When I open a photo in photoshop, in the upper right hand corner a yellow triangle with an exclamation point shows up.  Does anyone know what it means?

I am moving this post to the appropriate forum (that of Photoshop).

  • Saving photos in photoshop, not seen in LR

When I export a photo into photoshop and make my changes, as I save as a tif, it isnt automatically updated in lightroom, so I constantly have to sync the folder.
My previous versions of LR (before 5), this would update automatically and as I would return to LR, the new file would be there.
    How can I change this?

When exporting, check "Add to this catalog".
But perhaps it would be wiser not to export but to "Edit in Photoshop"?

  • If I edit a photo in Photoshop Elements, I can't seem to re-import it back into Lightroom. If I open the relevant folder on my Mac the image is present, but Lightroom just doesn't "see" it at all.

For some reason, my (Mac) Lightroom 5 won't recognise images in folders on my Mac that I've edited in either Photoshop Elements or Perfect Effects 8. If I've previously imported images from a specific folder, Lightroom will show these as greyed-out images (as normal) but will not show other images I've subsequently saved in that folder. Similarly, if I, say, select three images from Lightroom to use the Photomerge option in Elements, the subsequent saved image won't be recognised by Lightroom.
I've tried moving locations, saving in umpteen different formats etc., but the problem persists. No problem importing existing images from either SD card or old folders on the computer.
    It's very frustrating!

Ah-Ha! Right, think I've worked out the problem!
When I save a photo from Photoshop, I often place it on the desktop with a view to e-mailing it or posting it somewhere on the internet. I've just looked at the file that was supposedly saved as a .psd, but under "properties" it has no file extension. So I added the .psd and bingo, up it popped in the LR import window! I've since gone into Photoshop preferences & ticked it to add a file extension. That's really odd - I've never deselected that option but, hey ho, mystery solved.
Many thanks for your patience Mr Paige, I should have looked at this before. Put it down to advancing senility...

  • On my iphone 5s, in "photos" when I touch to enlarge, random new photos taken with 5s appear as old photos taken with 4 years ago - that aren't even on the laptop that I plug into. How do I correct this?

On my iphone 5s, in "photos" when I touch to enlarge, random new photos are showing as old photos. For example, let's say I'm looking in an album at a photo of a dog I took today. If I touch to enlarge- that photo of a dog is suddenly a photo of a family member taken three years ago (on my old iphone 4). This is random and has happened to about a dozen photos. This has caused me to accidently delete new photos thinking they were old ones until I figured out this was some sort of glitch. The old photos that are posing as new photos aren't even on my laptop that I plug into - they've been on my external hard drive for awhile so I don't even know how they're linking! Any suggestions??

I've tried both ways.  My Computer locates the device but doesn't see the old photos, only listing the new photos.
I no longer have the iphone3; I just transferred the photos from the 3 to the 4.
Was there a format change or file type change or did the transfer process create something different?  I can still see and access the old photos if I go to that album on the phone.  But that's the only place where I can see them or access them.

  • I recently reset my iPod touch 4th gen. (holding power and home buttons at the same time.)  now it won't let me change my wallpaper, in the photo section or the settings. Any ideas, please? Thanks.

I recently reset my iPod touch 4th gen. (holding power and home buttons at the same time.)  now it won't let me change my wallpaper, in the photo section or the settings. Any ideas, please? Thanks.

What happens when you try to change them?
    Try:
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • Photo size changes when printing

This is my problem. When I view a photo in my event, I am happy with the image. When I go to print, I find that parts of my image are cut off. It looks like the image zoomed in a little. How can I print the image exactly like it is displayed in the event? Also, this doesn't seem to change when I print different sizes, parts of the original image are always missing on the print.

Crop the photo to 11 x 14 before printing. That will insure that what you see in the cropped image will end up in the printed 11 x 14 image.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
